Y’see, I don’t agree there’s nothing to play for, we have un unbeaten home record to keep, a record points total to get to piss City off, there’s professional pride and I dare say win bonuses and these took great pleasure in grinding our kids faces in it earlier in the season. Plus we owe it to other teams fighting relegation to put a shift in. And there’s still the shirt to play for. Less than 100% is not acceptable, ever.

Not much improvement so far on the City game, in fact, we’d made more chances by now. Just as well these aren’t as clinical as city were. Some of the decisions this referee is giving, you’d think Villawere supported by the future king of the nation or someone.

Brandt is 24 and Goretzka 25, they are both rated as about the same value (Transfermarkt) but approximately €6-7M less than Thiago so would seem to be more fitting to our model? Unlikely either would be available if we were interested unless we slap the money on the table but as we’re newly crowned CHAMPIONS, they’d come with a premium added no doubt. Curtis Jones has just signed a new deal so likely he’s expecting to play more in the future and that might be a better indicator of whether we’re going to sign a central midfielder or not. It’d also create space for another academy player to be brought through.

Yes, saw that, what memories! First time in years I saw my flag in the crowd at the Parc des Prince in ‘81! Can show the kids now as we recorded it (I know it’s sad, my lad was 2, my daughter wasn’t born). The same flag was hung out of the bedroom window, with our scarves on the Thursday city lost and we were confirmed as CHAMPIONS!

There wasn’t anything on the games result really, other than to give 3 more points towards a record total, which, in itself, is just icing on the cake stuff. And a bit of pride too. However, I think from Klopp’s reaction to Shreeves, and Hendo’s performance, it was certainly important to some of the team that we didn’t want to lose, and certainly not by 4-0. They both looked as though their pride was dented, I would’ve liked to be a fly on the wall to hear what was said in the dressing room! It’s true that we could’ve (should’ve?) scored first and perhaps been at least two up before City scored. But we didn’t. Overall though, there was a feeling we were not 100% at it and concentrated, that then led to mistakes by usually dependable players and, unfortunately, City profited from that with, to be fair, clinical finishing. Thankfully, as irritating as it is, we can wipe this result off and the expectation will be that we’ll be back on our game pretty soon to keep the home record going and get over City’s record total. Have to say also that whem the youngsters came on, we looked a bit better so credit to them. CHAMPIONS!!

Impossible to argue against anything Klopp says really. Walks the walk, so can talk the talk all he likes. If you were to ask any other clubs followers who, honestly, they would like running their team, there’d only be one answer currently, and I include City in that too.

It’s too easy to respond to those loons on GOT, WSAG, The Blue Room etc., I’m doing it now and have posted in this thread on many an occasion. They are the irrelevance that some claim on here, they are never going to change and give credit where it is due as far as we are concerned, any slight misdemeanour by a minority of our followers will be magnified and applied to everyone with even a slight leaning towards us. What we do, including posting about them in this thread, is oxygen to their rabid and incessant hatred of all thing Red, and so I’ll do them a favour and ignore them from now on and in that way, hopefully, they’ll slowly suffocate. I can live in hope.
