  1. I am and i will continue to be. They're the one group who have any chance of making a real impact imo and they are clearly committed to getting rid of the owner. Soething for which there is no clear solution. I wish i could get more involved but i have far too much going on at the moment. I'll certainly be looking to do so next year when things should have settled down a bit. It's a shame everyone with the same goals cant get behind one uniting voice as that would make us, as a group of LFC supporters, far more influential imo.
  2. I've just been working on a different site and there's a fella over there who is trying to give his ticket away for free and no one was taking it off him.
  3. I dont finish work until 7 then it'll be straight on to this. I've got the same feeling i had when i knew i had to go for major dental work after my shift. 2-0 I just hope we put them on the back foot and have plenty of shots. Wont be holding my breath though. The last few home games against Pompey i can remember have been mid-week games and they've all been dire. Footy is boss, isn't it?
  4. If tonight is a near sell out then they couldn't really say that. Both Monday nights, both shit team and both when we're playing shite. Plus, something needs to happen. Ideas need to start to convert into action imo.
  5. I'd be going but i'd boycott. Something needs to happen along these lines and this is probably the perfect game for it.
  6. I was in school for Evans and Kenny's reigns so dont know enough to comment of fans feelings cos you're not really arsed about it at that age. I do think you'll get moaners no matter what, unless you're winning everything in sight and you'll probably find a few cryers then as well. No one would want us to play like an Ardilles or Keegan team but we're the polar opposite of that at the moment. It's just dull, lifeless football that's impossible to get excited about and is very unlikely to bring us success in the league. I mean, how many people will be dragging themselves to the Pompey match on Monday? It shouldn't be like that. I do agree that the players should take some of the blame but i find it hard to believe talented attacking players would all play in this rigid, unimaginative way unless doing so under instruction. The amount of times we play with only 4 and sometimes 3 attacking players also backs that up. Personally, i think he's running out of ideas which is why we're seeing the same formations, same players regardless of form and the same mistakes in areas like set pieces over and over again. I also think it looks like a number of the players have also lost faith in what they're being told. Unlike a few on here i think he's far from being a shit manager. I just think he's taken us as far as he can.
  7. Haha are there actually people who think our on pitch problems surround the beach ball incident? Ignoring all the other shite performances, did you see the rest of that game? And 4 sitters? You do realise we were the ones in red, dont you?
  8. It's the combination of shite football and terrible results that did for Houllier and it's going to be what does for Benitez. If a team is playing great football then there's reason for optimism. It can often look like a tweak here and there can make a massive difference eg Arsenal and the 'enforcer' everyone says they need. With us, are literally no plus points, seemingly very little to build on. We play an horrible, unattractive brand of pub footy that now seems to leave the players as frustrated as the fans and worse of all, it's regularily leading to defeats and under-achievment. Despite this we seem to have a manager who, bar three months last year, seems unable to change his ways. The handful a genuinely talented attackers we have seem neatralised and isolated by his style of play. I think no one would complain if we were 'compact' but winning. However, we're just shit to watch and losing and there doesn't seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel. I dont expect us to suddenly start playing like Barca but we're actually at the complete other end of the spectrum to them and i think a lot of fans agree you simply cant win our league with the brand of negative footy our manager prefers. Yes, results are alwyas the main thing but we're now watching us lose playing a brand of football you could watch for free in your local park. There are literally no plus points to it and that's what i think people are quite rightly saying enough is enough.
  9. My mrs is a primary school teacher in Kenny and has dealt with numerous kids with backgrounds as bad and often worse than those two experienced. I'm sure the same can be said for thousands of kids across the country, unfortunately. None of them have done anything as evil as those two. Also, if they didn't know it was wrong why did they try to get away with it?
  10. That's fair enough some of the lads i go the match are also still backing them although they will have gone last night so they might have changed their minds since i last saw them. I objected to 'proper fans' as if it was defined by backing a manager no matter what you see on the pitch. I'd say the majority of people value taking the time and money to support your team even in the lean times over that. That's not to say only match goers opinion matter cos i certianly wont be able to go as much next term. Unfortunately, that is looking less and less of a hardship as the weeks go by.
  11. He won us the CL 5 years ago. If he turns up in a Manc top and takes a shit on The Kop he'd still be the man for us.
  12. Blackburn away was a shocker but i had a brilliant day. In fact, this season the footy is just a buzz kill. We should start a campaign to Kick Football out of Football. The match itself is shite but everything around it is a very good laugh.
  13. Yes cos only blind faith makes you a good fan. Fuck all that going the match and supporting the team bollocks.
  14. Reina Johnson Carra or Agger The Greek Aurelio but if he's injured Insua although i would ensure that in future i was never left having to choose between the two of them. Aurelio is made of glass and Insua is nowhere near good enough yet. Yossi Mascherano Gerrard Maxi/Babel depending on who looked best in training. Maxi has been poor but haven't seen enough of Babel to know he isn't playing the same way. Aquilani Torres Gerrard and Aquilani could be interchangable. Kuyt would be dropped purely because of his recent run of form and i'm sure that would be the case at any other top side. I'd have Pacheco on the bench to come on behind the forward towards the end of the game. I'd tell all the midfielders bar Mascherano that, while they shouldn't go gung ho, their main focus should be on attacking. Mascher would have no need to be any closer than 30 yards to their goal as his job is cover when our attacking players go forward. Encourage Johnson to push on and credit him with the sense to do it at the right times. Above all remember that each and everyone of them would expect to take their opponents place if they signed to Pompey. They are the superior players so take the game to them and let them worry about how to stop us. If nothing else that should mean there is more than one shot on target in each half.
  15. Wasn't he known for being thick as fuck. I'm sure there are loads of stories about him in player's autobiographies. Like an older and much more talented McAteer.
  16. Anyone apart from the very, very best attackers in the world would struggle in our team.
  17. That's one of the best posts i've ever read on this site
  18. This is the first entire season when we've been without a top form Gerrard and we can all see the results. We know we wouldn't have won a single trophy under Rafa without him but we're now seeing what a Rafa team looks like when he's under-achieving for 30+ games.
  19. I thought he did alright. His passing was quick and accurate. He is a bad fanny though i can see him having to play behind the forward in our league cos he's too much of a shit bag to play midfield. At one point i was wondering just how shit he is that our manager, who sees him play every day, didn't think he could improve on what Kuyt was giving us.
  20. It just shows how much some fans have lowered their expectations. We dont have a shot on target against a Wigan side that hasn't won in 7 games and it's 'yeah but Torres had one chance he mis-hit'. It's not hysertical, it's not a one off, it's saying that it's nowhere near good enough for Liverpool FC.
  21. He's been playing shite for weeks. You know he wont get dropped though, even though we actually have replacements available now. No one putting in a performance as bad as that would have lasted 82 minutes playing for any other side in the top half.
  22. The horrible irony is if we didn't have such loyal fans who follow the team everywhere and get behind the manager even though we've been served up some of the worst football i've seen from a Liverpool side then he'd probably already be gone. The reasons to back him get fewer and fewer and when you're paying thousands of pounds to watch shite you've got every right to complain about it.
  23. If nothing else at least Aquilani was the catalyst behind my favourite Rafa comment. When asked why he didn;t bring him on away to Wolves he said, 'It was because the ball was getting kicked in the air a lot and he likes it at his feet.' I'm just gutted none of the press asked, 'why couldn't you get your players to pass it on the floor then?' To top it off, in the next match Aquilani set up a goal with his head against Bolton.
  24. It'll just be a fuck up no matter what. If he goes on to do well at a high level it could be a inditement of our negative playing style. Actually, i couldn't give a fuck what he did after he left us. It'd be a shit signing for Liverpool, that's all that matters to me.
