  1. It's a shame you're not going to reply because I'm intrigued to know what this 'valuble lesson' could be. Again, I think you're completely unhinged if you think people deserve to be wrongfully imprisioned for submitting opinions to an internet message board that you don't agree with. It just makes your calls for 'justice' completely laughable.
  2. If you pay close attention, you'll find that the poster 'rondeco' brought up the 'fair trial' phrase when he replied to one of my posts, and my reply was to his post.
  3. The only 'controversial' stuff I remember posting was about the Athens ticket allocation situation - controversial in the sense that my sentiments were counter to the general feeling on the forum at the time, and I may have queried the exclusiveness of TLW's Alonso to Arsenal story. Everytime somebody goes against the grain then they are immediately labelled Momo, it's almost a reflex action from some people.
  4. I think I'm fairly objective. I don't let what team a person supports influence my opinion of them (as long as they are not mancs or bitters).
  5. Actually you're wrong. My previous username was RedPower, which for some reason I think was banned by stealth, as I can still log in using it, but my posts do not appear visible to other users. And you never did answer any of my PM's asking why I had seemingly been banned by stealth.
  6. I thought you were all against injustice, yet you would happily see me wrongfully imprisioned in a Bulgarian jail? And I would deserve this fate simply for putting forward an opinion on an internet website? I think you are becoming a bit unhinged.
  7. Was footage of our fans storming the gates in Athens made with actors? Was there no overcrowding in the stadium? I detect a sort of seige mentality amongst some of our support. Because we get more than our fair share of stick, some people feel the need to go in the opposite direction and defend our supporters no matter what.
  8. A confession that was made when that other person was safely back in blighty, far away from the hands of the Bulgarian authorities. How convenient. Also, hasn't the person that made this confession been widely condemned as a liar? I guess you'll just pick and choose which parts of his output you'll believe, eh?
  9. Where did I say helping 'a fellow red' is a bad thing? I just don't think that fan pressure groups should use the Club as vehicle to promote their pet campaigns that really have nothing to do with it (the Club); it should be left to private citizens. I think you're getting a tad emotional over this. Perhap you could do with a rubdown or something to calm you down.
  10. I see you trying to conflate two issues to make your point: accounts given by responsibility-evading police officers, carried by a politically driven, anti-Liverpool newspaper, and accounts given by LFC fans at the game – and footage shown on TV. Are you suggesting that sections in our end were not uncomfortable overcrowded in Athens (I was in section B)? Or no stealing etc took place outside because you personally didn’t see it? If you're going to dispute ‘accounts’ in general because we got fucked over in 1989 then surely you’d dispute Shields’ account, wouldn’t you? Plus, you didn't see the Bulgarian waiter get his head caved in, so you don't know who really did it, do you? As you've only got 'accounts' to form an opinion with.
  11. Look out everybody, if you don't join the Shields campaign you're an inferior red, and probably not a red at all. The sanctimony-o-meter is going into meltdown here. Maybe you should form a new club: "Lemmings FC", where everybody just mindlessly dances along to the tune called by it's self-appointed leaders.
  12. No, I didn't see any stealing but there were enough accounts, and the general vibe, for me to believe that it transpired, and as I got into the stadium as early as possible I didn't see the gates being stormed by our fans either - although I saw that the next day on TV. I accept we get flak from all angles but that doesn't mean I'm going to side with 'our lot' just because we get flak from elsewhere; that seems a ridiculous attitude to adopt. Plus that was a cunt of a snide remark you threw in about 'The Truth' aswell.
  13. Yep, like in Athens......... Where does all this end? Say I go to London to watch us play Spurs, and I stay for the weekend, and while there I get into some bother in the boozer on a Sunday evening (the day after the game), should I get on the blower to SOS to help me out? Or I'm on my way home from the match and I'm involved in a big car crash, do I contact SOS to help with my case? Can I sue LFC because I was only going the game to watch them and now I've been involved in a serious traffic accident that has crippled me - I would have been fine if LFC hadn't 'forced' me to go the match and they'd better fucking pay up or else they'll have SOS on their case!!!
  14. Are you insane? It's my responsibility to automatically support Shields because he's a Liverpool fan? I know reds that I wouldn't piss on if they were on fire, and would be delighted if they were banged up for 1000 years. I'm not going to automatically take the side of someone just because they support the same team as me. That's just too silly for words. I take it you didn't see any of our fans getting beaten and robbed by fellow fans in Athens then. Whose side would you be on then, or would you decide on a case by case basis?
  15. It's totally cringeworthy that that Shields is member #1 of SOS, and they spend so much time on his 'cause', holding him up as a sort of badge of honour. This 'he was forced to shave his hair' business just doesn't make sense, as the description of the assailant was of a lad with fair hair, so then why would the police insist that Sheilds romove something that would cause him to look less like the described culprit??????
  16. Since when was Shields forced to have his hair shaved? First time I've heard that one.
  17. Keane just hasn’t got the physical stature to lead the line on his own, but getting disposed when trying to round the keeper in a one-on-one situation instead of banging the ball in the net doesn’t help matters. Keane up top on his todd is not the answer.
  18. Generally a disappointing game. Don’t know how Kuyt wasn’t the first to be substituted after another amateur-hour type performance. I think most were off the boil today, though. Got to put the baggies in their place now.
  19. The Tottenham player breezed by Carragher and had the initial shot that led to the second goal, so it's a bit unfair to have a go at Agger and Dosenna and imply that Carragher would have saved the day.
  20. Gomes' attempt to save Kuyt's goal was pretty funny. He basically just leaned back, arching his back like a limbo dancer, and threw his hands straight up in the air.
  21. It's annoying because it's more of a self-inflicted defeat than the opposition taking it to us. We still need more quality though.
  22. Keane looks old to me, old and frail. I don't think our tactics of having him have to battle in the air for the ball with two big centre-backs did him any favours though. In the one-up-front formation I'd rather have Kuyt in that position although he's a way inferior footballer. Babel would be the better option if Nando isn't available, but it still looks like Babel makes a bigger impact coming on as sub.
  23. It's not worth getting into an argument with you; I know what you're like.
