  1. Yes i have seen him and when fit he scores goals. The risk was would he be fit but paying him for appearances or on a low wage would have been a better option than keeping someone that was surplus to requirements and is not and never will be a quality Liverpool player. I am not saying he would have been the answer to our problems but he would have given us an extra option. As a defender i am sure they would all fear someone like him coming off the bench than Voro.
  2. I agree. Players are fickle and always need to be wanted. The fact he wasn't meant he would show us exactly how good he was and then move on. Instead of bigging up a twat like lucas he should have been bigging up the likes of Alonso the previous season instead of trying to get rid of him.
  3. who knows whether Alonso would have made a difference but one thing for sure is replacing a first team player with a player that is injured for 2 months is beyond belief. Aqui may prove to be a great player but it won't count for much in the league if we are already out of reach of the leaders before he plays let alone gets some form and is used to the prem. What a fuckin joke.
  4. If Voro is on 50K plus a week then that's a disgrace. I am sure Hertha Berlin put some sort of bid in for him and it should have been accepted even if it was 1p. That money could have been put toward the traitor Owens wages before he signed for the Mancs. As much as i hate him now that he went to the Mancs he would have been a more threatening option than Voro ever will be.
  5. Torres was poor as he didn't receive the ball from midfielders enough and when he did he was kicked off the pitch. No Villa player would bother seeing Voro as a threat and he can do as he pleases which is fuck all.
  6. As bad as Gerrard was he still has the ability to either create or score a goal. The same cannot be said about Lucas and therefore this thread has merit. Gerrard is off form and so are others that normally perform well but Lucas is not up to the prem. He'd prob do great in Italy. He has had his chances and has prob played well in two games that i can recall. I thought Mash played well tonight but his partner has to be the creative CM'er.
  7. We had enough chances to win but were unlucky as we got punished when we made mistakes. Lucas and Voro are not good enough for the squad and the future looks ominous when we don't have any better than them at the moment. I can't understand why Benayoun went off and Babel came on. I thought we needed more width and would have liked to have seen Riera on for Lucas, moving Gerrard back in CM and Benayoun in the hole. If Voro was a dog he would be put down.
  8. anyone working on a new song for Stevie G? Here is one that may work, if not don't worry as i have already got my coat in hand. Steve Gerrard, Gerrard, no problems with Scotland yard, swift uppercuts to a Manc real hard, Steve Gerrard, Gerrard,
  9. Never thought we were going to win the match and had believed we were not good enough to win the prem a while back. It is great that we are second but that is probably down to the problems Chelski and Arsenal are having currently and not down to us having improved enough to challenge for a title till the end. We can argue about who is to blame all day but the blame is probably best shared between all: Rafa, owners, Parry, Moores and the players. The team is too reliant on Gerrard and Alonso to create something. Mash is a good player for breaking things down but offers nothing going forward. Lucas is clearly not suited to the prem and the more we play him the less we will get for him when Rafa finally admits he is not good enough for the prem. I thought Aurellio in CM like against Portsmouth would have been a good option without Gerrard and Alonso but knew Rafa would never have picked him with Lucas available. Unfortunately the players did not turn up though and only seemed dangerous after our goal. I think there are too many passengers in our team and although i feel Utd don't have 11 top class players on the field at all times, they do however have 6 to 7 players with the ability to create/score as well as a very solid defence. Our defence is also very good but our creative attacking players bar Alonso, Torres and Gerrard are not. I'd love to think that next year may be different but honestly believe that under Rafa we wont win the league. As a matter of interest does anyone know what the final pts standings were the times Rafa won the league in Spain. Were there many 1-0's and alot of draws? Was he as cautious?
  10. One could argue other players get plenty of chances and yet still fail to deliver. When on the pitch Keane gave 100% and i would have liked to have seen him succeed. I did think the money was better spent on a r winger at the time though.
