  1. Any1 got link 4 best site to watch match from an android phone......from the back of a car on m1 plz... between 4 and 530pm.
  2. RAFA is quite simply pound for pound the best manager in the european elite. I Joined this forum not so long ago and agree Rafa makes mistakes and will make more, but have been flabberghasted by some of the baseless tripe posted about the man and his management of our football team ..... we have average players in a lot of positions yet we are competing for the title and have been the top club in the champions league averaged over the last 5 years. I read a post about RAFA inheriting the best player in the world..... beg ya pardon.. SG was not the complete footballer he is now....i guess that happened by chance. I think for some on this Forum it is more important to them that they send a post and have that post seen or reacted to ..than it is to actually discuss real footballing matters.. Those of U, and you know who you are, would be better served using Facebook or Friends Reunited etc than a football forum
  3. How many 20 - 22 year olds are playing in Lucas's position and have achieved what he has. I reckon some on this forum ignorantly imagine that jus because they see a rooney, anderson or ronaldo or an a.young or any of the arsenal young guns displaying thier silky skills in a xx minute tv highlight and that they perform at that level for 90 mins week in week out. These forum fans and a few on the stands blend this with the expectation that as a brazilian, our Lucas should be as technicaslly gifted as a Messi or Robinho adds and fuels the myth that he is a bad player and he regular doesnot achieve the tasks RAFA SETS FOR HIM on the pitch. He breaks thru at International level for Brazil - lets not forget that must be the hardest squad never mind team to get in in the world. He is highly regarded by a number of clubs but more tellingly - was it not SG who praised Lucas ability, claiming he wasnt as good at that age and heis the future of the team (not said about Babel for example) . I for one trust in those who trust in him having seen him at close quarters. For me he has the potential to be as good as SG........given the chance. He is still learning, young and living in a new country at 22, and yes at times niave on the pitch. He has become a target because he is a Brazilian and not a Robinho. For me if we boo Lucas, then we should be tortured and lynched the likes of Babel, Kuyt and Keane. Those that have dig should see the game as Rafa sees the game and then perhaps they would see that Lucas is more than does the job he is given. And yes given the time at Liverpool he will become the box to box player he was as a 20year and mature into an all round midfield general. Dare I say given the chance Lucas will be the hearbeat of a Liverpool tema for years to come. Dare I say Lucas without the perception of all fans being on his back will become a 30% improved player with more confidence.. If we let him /forced to go thru Fan influence, LFC will be the losers and lucky some mid table spanish side will prob sell on for a massive profit in 3 years..... Cant see Masc or Alonso have any significant transfer value in 3 years ....... And for those using that are using that interview as ammunition ----- you can't be seriously using that to highlight he is a bad player or doesnt want to player for LFC!!! Prob same fans that curse the Americans and talk about them ruining the Liverpool Way, shitting on our high standards....... Hypocrites What is more unliverpool than booing a 22 year old LIVERPOOL PLAYER IN THE MIDDLE OF A GAME WHO ALWAYS SEEMS TO GIVE 100%.........fuking disgusting! leave our players alone and concentrate booing if you must those we play against and to the Forum bashers of Lucas....freedom of speech is great bt lets not follow the donkey!
  4. the real madrid tempo reminds me of the way we stuffed the mancs at home and i agree with some earlier posts about that style relates to the approach of the particular team were playing. Teams that believe they are more technically gifted and at least half believe that they can nick a win will give us more space to play, whereas those that play not to get beat sit back in numbers and so the play is condensed and scrappy. Either style of play or tempo has brought us good results - we can potentially win regardless of whether a team sits back or attacks , or whther the team is Real / Man U or Stoke / Fulham. THE reason why we draw and lose the matches we sgould have won is because our chances / conversion rate is low. We need more of a goal scoring threat, rather than a simply attacking threat. We need more players on the pitch who can convert the chances they recieve and by that I also mean crafting individual openings to score. i.e We have more potential goal scoring opportunities than the stats give us credit for - i.e if we had players who were more direct, confident and clinical around and in the penalty area we would score more goals and have more goal scoring opportunites. The wide men need to chip in more, even Masc creates chances for himself and is not afraid to go for it when a glimmer of an opportunity presents itself, albeit not the luck yet. Raf should have gone in for Masc and Tevez - imagine how would be a nightmare team to play against. The THIS IS ANFIELD sign would begin to mark the fear factor once again. Stick with Rafa the Jedi -
  5. Its absolutely amazing some of the tripe on this issue of Kuyts contract. I think it was summed up nicely in the post above, and i didnt need to know this before reading the evidence for it. It seems like common sense - I take the fact that some are fed up with Rafa but its like your taking it to the extreme and fueling rumours and misinformation that have nothing to do with LFC , RAFA or the team, more to do with the frustration of missing out on the title again -if he wins the CL what then all is forgotten. Rafa is a genius for taking the resource he has and bringing us thus far under difficult circumstances with his employers. I dont agree with everything he does and some of his decisions leave me??????? but lets face it all succesful managers have a stubborn streak in doing things in thier particular way .... and Rafa has learnt some lessons in his time here.. so this thread is based on disappointment and would be better suited on a MANCS site than ours so behave....
  6. Our transfer policy should be now focused on building a side for the future - i.e young english players, cant see Rafas pedigree in the identfying british young talent never mind young talent from around the globe. Rafas a system and process manager who will buy to fit in his system which is risky when in the modern game you need more than one option or style of play. I would like to hope armed with a budget he will bring in quality in positions we need - i agree no more defensive midfielders, whilst most teams have 4 established attackers, how on earth does Rafa expect to have a good run in the premiership with 2 - Keane/Torres and then with 1 -Torres. Basics -injuries, loss of form, suspensions are expected in a season so why why why............... but stil were in our best position for years recently (he must be a genious at %). In Rafas defence I expect he expected to pick up Hesky when he let Keane go. water under the bridge now but in the future we need a mix of quality , youth , UK passports and styles. We need top quality scouting to bring those players in at relatively cheaper prices as Rafa will never be given the same spending power as Fergy or at Chelsea. Which reminds me to all you wingers with the backing, money, control and position inherited Rafa has done miracles - hes not perfect but can u see Mourhino or Fergie achievin what Rafas done on his budget and from his starting position..........
  7. No he didnt but in saying that if he cost £8 mill he would have prob got a fairer one - meaning not sold after 6 months... Robbie didnt set his 20m tag - Parry's clumsiness in negotiating transfers is where the primary responsibility sits. Think Domino effect Did he show enough even for 8m in the 6 months he had? I winced many times when I thought he would be passed the ball - air shot king. Although credit where credits due the goals he scored evidenced his quality but overall contribution when on the pitch was poor. I struggle to understand how RK went from being technically OK to technically shite when he left the Lane. He'll probably be as good as hes ever been back at the Lane. The only reason that stands up is that although Rk has gone to many clubs, there have been none as big as LIVERPOOL. Quite simply the pressure of playing for LFC coupled with being a boyhood fan was way too much for him....... in the 1st 6 months Should he have been given more time by Rafa? Simply YES, any knowledge of RK before he was bought would have highlight the fact RK hits top form after xmas, where the bulk of his goals have come in previous seasons. I dont believe Rafa needed to sell, just stick him on the bench until he comes good.....and he couldn't have gt any worse. Would we have rued a decision to keep him and miss out on a return? Should have took the chance especailly as we are this close to the title. The situation is exasperated by the fact we paid so much for a player that old with little chance of a substancial return if he was sold on after his 30th. Also struggle to get my head round the fact we will make a loss, be aplayer down and with no apparent savvy by Parry /Rafa to insist on a quick deal in order to secure a replacement. Think if Torres falls injured again - who we got Ngog, Kuyt? Or hold firm to a player swap /loan.... On face value RK seems to have wanted the move, if so I dont believe the drive for the transfer vcame from Rafa on his own. RK, dodgy Harry al played their part. Parry as usual wouldnt have been able to sqeeze out another 1-2 m from Spurs given the fact that Defoe is out for 10 weeks due to pitiful lack of business acumen. Does Raf know what hes doing? To all you Rafa doubters, I say he's not 100% right all the time but he must be a brilliant manager as he's basically improved a similar set of players over the last 2 years to premiership title contenders. Only Riera has added value (RK ultimately didnt in the time he was hear) to the first team!! He is obviously not the most gifted when it comes to personal man management...but thats where the boot room should fill in and cover..isn't it? RK should have sat tight and fought for his place, refused the deal - the fact that he didn't justifies Rafas decision. The only players playing for LFC should be the ones who really want to when push comes to shove. THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE RK FIASCO IS SHARED in this order RK - didn't perform, agreed to return to Lane PARRY - amateuristic transfer approach, paid too much, sold for too little, RAFA - sanctioned move at wrong time, not enough time given
  8. We need to keep it real guys, simply Rafa has never been able to compete £ 4 £ and to compare against those that have not won silverware in premiership (Bruce , Moyles etc) is ridiculous as they have no silverware to measure thier shrewdness in the market! WE are CLOSER THAN WEVE EVER BEEN on a comparative shoe string to our nearest competitors, so wake up and smell the coffee and back the Rafa, the Team , even the board (the liverpool way) and review at the end of the season - imploding is the style of others..
