  1. Nope - I'm always up for a battle in defending our club & indeed have had Many run ins with journo's on twitter over Luis. I've fought day & night at different hours sometimes on there in arguing his case but they (or rather their agendas won't allow them to) just Won't listen. Doesn't matter - Every time I spot one have a go at him? I have a go at Them & will continue doing so as long as is necessary & rightly so - You stick up for your own as without backup from your friends in this life? Who needs enemies & Luis has more than enough of them through no fault of his own right now............
  2. Redpaul? I'm more interested in the stat's of pens that b*stard Webb's refused Us. I can think of at least 3 off the top of my head. 2 against Stoke a few weeks back & the most nailed on one you can Ever think of against Arsenal at Anfield a couple of years back. Whelan? They're not the first team to net 4 consecutive pens - Pretty sure we or rather Jan Molby did against Coventry City over 2 games inside a week back in the 80's yes? Scouse Tapas? It's simple How they lost in the Cup. We adopted His favourite tactic at Anfield of the last few years. The one that often never works at OT (usually due to referees) for us. In other words? We sat back, waited for them to make a mistake after playing in front of us for much of the match - Pounced when they did - Then finally attacked, forced another mistake & picked up the winner right at the end when they'd worn themselves out with said mucking around in front of our defence. As I said? That (particularly the first part of it) is something they do or Did do until we finally rumbled it at Anfield All the time of late & it had a lot to do with Rafa's fucking awful record against them. Mind you - Fergie's no innovator - He nicked it off Ged Houllier who Always used to embarrass him with it back in the day. Wonder if that's how we'll go on Saturday. I think not - They might have had a lot of the FA Cup game but? We dominated our last league match v them far more & haven't lost to them in 3 games now. As for their 'dominance' in the Cup game? Well Alonso used to dominate Those encounters for us in the middle in the same way Scholes did then also but guess Which side nearly Always made off with the spoils? I rest my case. In short? If we attack them in their own backyard on Saturday? It's probably the Last thing that drunken Taggart alike will expect or want as they've got nothing Like the quality they once had to cope with such tactics - As such? Do That? & The results might just be pleasantly suprising for us - Either way? I don't think we'll lose Saturday & I don't say that often (especially not when we go There) but this time? I really don't think we will - We shall see................
  3. I agree with Il fenomeno; If you ask me? We should use Carroll & His new found magnetism for the ball to hold play up & bring others forward much as Crouch once did for us & have Suarez/Bellamy & Gerrard Playing off of him. I know you think Andy Can't hold the ball up Newport but? When he's in the mood he can & he caused their defence severe difficulties in the FA Cup the other week. That's how we should do it perhaps with regarding to the Team setup; Maybe, start with Bellamy on the bench & bring him on when Suarez is tired/on a card if you ask me. Craig? Is the One player in our squad who can deputise for Suarez & give us similar ability, skill & chances to utterly terrify opposing defences upfront. The system worked well at Wolves & City recently & even showed signs of maybe long term helping us find a way to solve our home woes last night so why change it? I think the Manc's have had enough problems defending recently? That if we Really get at them with a system we trust & players like a settled & effective Carroll & Suarez or Bellamy? We might just do some Proper damage to the shambles that currently passes for their 'defence'. Anyway - That's how I see it. I think we should Bed the system in as we once did the 4-3-2-1 under Rafa' & get it working down pat this year then Next term? If not this time out in the cups? We'll reap the rewards & then some................ NB Il Fenomeno? Not necessarily re the sit back & soak it up approach at OT - Do That? & We will lose as we could of done in the FA Cup of late v them - Why not go there & attack Them? It's not like they've been anything like secure at the back recently & they have Far more to lose as one more fuck up in the league? And they're gone as far as the title's concerned if they're not already. We should use that & prey on them. I think If we go & attack them? We Will win - Then again our defence is good enough that if we go & sit back whilst cutting them up on the counterattack? We still might win. I'm not bothered about this game that much for some reason & that Is weird when it comes to playing There - Just shows How they've fallen. There's nothing to be afraid on Saturday to put it shortly & what's more? Kenny Knows this.............
  4. I agree LFD re' Suarez - You can't tell if he meant to get the ball or boot Parker & besides? He was booked so the incident Must be forgotten now. It's all a storm in a Teacup anyway if you ask me - I think as per usual with us? It's the media looking for something, Anything by which they can whip up a storm & maybe get our class players banned/p*ssed off at playing for us & clamouring to leave ala Torres/Masch' etc; Rather like the 'Racism' Debacle in fact it appears very contrived & deliberate this sudden so-called 'storm'. If you ask me? It smacks of Anything to weaken us in fact. I Don't know Why they hate us so much but That they Do? Is without question & more worryingly? A lot of referees appear to have agreed with them of late in recent seasons since at least 2009 if not further back. Something needs to be done about all this if you ask me but God alone knows what, I know I don't. Another year, nothing changes nor likely ever will right now..............
  5. Zigackly? Fuck the media indeed or as you put it? "The day we play our game to suit them is" Quite Clearly? The Very day we hire an owl faced, utterly unsuited, completely pathetic excuse for a former Switzerland manager who nevertheless recieves high praise from the LMA & thinks he's something in coaching circles while said media agree with him & more or less ignore those fans who watch the disaster he inflicts on an old, venerable & poweful English club week in, week out because "Englishmen getting chances at the Biggest Clubs" is their Sacred Cow/All Consuming Agenda. Or to put it more succinctly? The day we play the media's game & tailor our Every move to suit them? Is of course the day we hire Roy Hodgson & the footballing savvy, wise, knowledgeable people at the top of our club would Never pull such a self defeating, take a shotgun to your own foot, stand on your own landmine, unpin a grenade indoors fucking suicidal type of move - It would be just comple........Ah, oh dear. Think We've Had such day no? The disastrous tenure of Woyston Hodgson LMA star manager & Englishman Abroad Extrodinaire shows just Why they should be ignored & after That debacle? They've no right to ever complain about being frozen out/ignored at Anfield. Not now, not Ever..............
  6. Looking at it re' Suarez & that kick? I think that he Thought Parker was going to miss the ball & thus raised his boot for it & by the time He saw Parker would get it? It was to late to pull out. As you say though Bobby? Stuff all they can do about it now with the Yellow & all. I think as a result of the inevitable clamour though? We should be Very careful on Saturday re tackles & challenges at that dump. Yes, despite me being confident as I said in my nove....ahem huge post above about Saturdays game at OT? When Thinking on about it - I'm a little worried as I've just remembered Where we'll be playing & who against. I suspect if not United getting any more obviously favourable penalties in their favour as their last four spot kicks since such a move would just be To obvious? Then maybe the next move might be for a few ahem questionable Red Cards to be given to their opponents players for so much as looking at them wrongly & since we're next up? It's a perfect time no doubt for the ref's to begin yet another crusade against dangerous tackles. Not predicting anything - Just that if one of ours Can be sent off or is put in such a position on Saturday? Then put money on it happening as it almost certainly Will. They'll do their best to grab an advantage in their grubby little hands any way they can - Mark my words................. NB Agree re' the Media trying to drive Luis out WaltonRed - Don't know Why but they've done that virtually since the start of the PL to All our class players at one point or another - It's almost like they believe we're some sort of Conference Club that better players are 'Wasted' at & yet they watch the likes of Ferguson ruin the odd promising player like he did with Forlan or like when He Shifted Rooney to acomodate Ronaldo & that's not to mention the likes of Arsene Wenger evicting promising young English players from his Arsenal Squad by the dozen at times &? Not a flicker. Wonder why but for me? I find such inconsistency & downright hypocrisy Very annoying indeed. Nothing will change anytime soon though. Won't fit the agenda no? And we all know who That is aimed at................ NBB Newport? Agree again re Henderson I thought he was very calm at times I've seen him this season & he played very well at Fulham particularly with that curler into the post. Also the pass he gave for Gerrard's goal against Newcastle was exquisite to say the least. A little like Lucas? I think Henderson will improve (out of All recognition from how he is now) with age - Further? He might just have the makings of an English Alonso or certainly a player like Carrick who can 'command' matches from the middle with the ball & that is something we're sorely short of right now. We shall see soon enough either way - Time will tell on that one, sooner or later? Time will tell............
  7. Thought we played alright tonight if a little lacking as per bloody usual at home this year in the cutting edge yet again. Thought Luis could maybe should have done a little better with that header at the end - If he'd angled it a bit like Skrtel did for his goal at Villa Park at the end of last year? He'd have scored it No doubt at all in my mind - An angled header? Would of eluded Friedel quite easily at that particular point but them's the breaks. The thing I was very pleased with tonight against That mob? Was the defensive effort - Jay did a very professional job in shutting down Modric on the few occasions he got forward & Kelly on the right? Completely locked out Bale so much so that he ended up having a go at Johnson on the other flank & getting nothing out of him either - The only time the ball Did finally break for Bale? Reina was up to his usual high standards & kept him out. Don't forget? Spurs hadn't Not scored for something like 20 odd games tonight so we did well to not just shut them down but totally neutralise them. There was none of the ridiculous defensive disasters we've had in the last 3 matches against this mob (terrible deflections, awful penalties, comical own goals, laughable early sendings off etc) that have somewhat distorted their results against us of late. In the end? We dominated the match, Spearing shut down their vaunted midfield on his own virtually whilst Kelly & Johnson placed the flanks of our backline on lockout leaving Bale out in the cold & they had One chance all night that eventually fell to the Welshman who missed it; In the final analysis? We made Spurs look what they are without their main 2 threats firing - Ordinary - About as ordinary as our 08/09 side looked when Gerrard & Torres were shut down. Bet you don't hear That in the papers tomoz though or about how Parker stayed on after a nailed on Red Card challenge From him near the end - Nor I suspect will there be anything about the nailed on penalty we were yet again refused at home - Doesn't fit the agenda no? BTW? I think this of us being refused Home penalties? Is way to deliberate & prolonged now to Not be consicous decisions by the ref's involved based on the fact it's Us. And finally? Did you see that tosser of a ref'? Couldn't Wait to book Luis & I actually thought he'd do worse at first never mind giving us anything else - It was stopping play when we were attacking, looking the other way when they put in ahem 'debateable' tackles & giving the old Omerta sign of hands across the chest at every even Slightly viable claim for a penalty all night long from the young ref' & it's not just him either which is really starting to annoy me - That ref's display? Was a virtual replica of the disgraceful display from Howard Webb in our last home League match right down to the nailed on penalty being utterly ignored - Funnily enough? It was Webb that gave us our last penalty against Spurs - That was in January 2010 though. Oh & is it me or is Skrtel becoming a real beast something like the Vidic of old that we hoped he be when we got him? Him & Agger are without question? The best backline CB pair in this league now. I'd go so far as to say that any of the sides above us with them? Would win the league easily. Skrtel's not just like Vidic used to be for that lot? Agger's matured to into a much better player than Ferdinand ever was & he to seems Far more aggressive in his approach this year. I'd say pairing them when Carragher went out of the team earlier this year? Has been the making of them & our backline for years to come & further? This bedrock reminds me of the Hyppia/Henchoz & Hyppia/Carragher ones in their permanence for me. They'll win us trophies if they carry on at this rate - No question. I quite like the way the flanks look as well - Just wish Enrique had played tonight as with his Left footed delivery giving their right flank no time to reorganise as they did for Johnson's crosses? I suspect we might have made a goal or two with him in there tonight. Also with regard to the flanks? I Think Kelly is a Real find at Right-back now. Far better defender than the much vaunted Kyle Walker of Spurs & not without pace of his own either - In the last few weeks? He's shut down Ryan Giggs quite easily & now dominated Gareth Bale in a way No Right-back I've yet seen has done so much so that he's been virtually forced to switch flanks to find any space - Never mind attacking room. Never seen that done to Bale before - Never mind by if not a rookie then still a novice in First Team affairs like Kelly - Just goes to show? We might have something similar on our hands here to what Rob Jones gave us all those years ago - Just hope Martin's health is a little sturdier than Rob's & he doesn't suffer all the injuries his long-ago predecessor did. But still? A Real find if you ask me & a good bet to follow Johnson at England level eventually if not for a while (far more so than Walker anyway). Finally it's just my view but is it me or was Bale a little to believing of his own hype & guilty of acting somewhat arrogant tonight? He was way to aggressive in his pushing of people when things didn't go his way & maybe lucky to stay on after that to. BTW is it me or didn't Bale start off as a full back like Johnson also & then move forward to become the rocket paced menace he now is? Maybe Kenny could do something similar with Glen? He's the One Man in our squad I think we Could utilise far more going forward. Anyway, on we go - I suspect if we keep that standard of intensity up & get back to varying/speeding up our attacking moves as we did against Wolves & the Manchester Sides from next week onwards? We'll win far more than we lose - Particularly against the troublesome 'little' sides - Funny thing is? I think we played more than well enough tonight to have beaten the likes of a Norwich or a Swansea handily & we probably did enough had we chosen the right players to start with (i.e Suarez from half time onwards?) to have a couple of goals victory tonight. The only reason Spurs survived was our profiligacy & their own currently very high standard of defensive players (and you don't say That often about them). Oh yes & is it me or does Ledley King Only play against Liverpool now? He always seems to play & normally well against us but doesn't play never mind well against any other team. Anyway? I've a feeling home draws & draws against the dross of the league will be less of a problem now we've finally a chance to integrate everyone upfront. It's just our tough that we came up against one of the better sides & a clearly biased (against us) referee this evening. Still you live & learn - As I said? We should do much better against the worse sides of this league from here on in - And wouldn't you know? We face one such side on Saturday - Should be interesting. I've seen nothing from them coming forward to bother a defence of our level though - And their own? Well the pathetic mess they end up in only 6 minutes into the second half on Sunday says all you need to know & we? Are a level up from Chelsea as a Team if you ask me - They won't find it easy against us at all on Saturday - In fact? I think we might just beat them. Either way? I think we might just enjoy Saturday night - Mark my words........................... NB Glad to see Carroll Finally looks like a Part of the whole team. He just 'feels' like a cog in the machine overall rather than a spare part we've tried to weld on that hasn't quite taken yet & which no-one has a clue how to us at long, long last. It's taken him more than a year but now? I think Andy Does have a future with us & a big one to. He caused Spurs all sorts of problems tonight & if you ask me? It wasn't his lack of control/touch etc that was the problem now - It was our other players not anticipating what he would do & the one time one did in Kuyt? Scott sodding Parker got the ball just ahead of him or we could have had a repeat of the winning goal the other Saturday. Anyway up & onwards................. NBB After tonight & seeing our defensive solidity against the best 3 attacks in the league in the last few weeks in various competitions? Not to mention our various 'rivals' sheer ineptitude in those departments in recent weeks? I think If we stay focused & retain our application in every game through to the end of the season? We could yet still finish comfortably above not just Newcastle & Arsenal (which I think we Will do) but also Chelsea. I still think Fourth Place is quite an achievable target. We might not be Very consistent in our results yet but what we Are that they All are quite clearly not? Is Very secure at the back & extremely consistent defensively - In short? Our backline & goalkeeper? Far exceed the level of those of any of the 3 teams around us by quite some distance. When you look at that along with the fact they all still have to play us again? And I think you have to say Those will be the telling factors in the end. We're still handily placed to begin something of a charge up the table & pretty soon? I think we will.......
  8. Before I forget also? Saturday's was a truly Great Atmosphere - Not quite as loud as any of the 3 but in a way? It reminded me of the Chelsea & City Semi-Finals to some extent. And rightly so - That is as it always Should be against Them whatever the competition. Oh & any 'Experience' factor Ferguson thinks he can count on at Anfield from their most recent groups of championship winners/veterans that the media always bang on about? Is long since gone and recently? Was never there. It's a very long time since they had the likes of Keane, Scholes in his pomp, Ferdinand & Vidic at their best & Ronaldo/Rooney at their strongest in their side & the 'aura' to match that they Always seemed to used to bring with them to Anfield. Witness this latest meeting once more for the latest example - They crumbled before the Anfield barrage from on & off the pitch Saturday (as empitomised by Evra for the winner) More? Their record at Anfield in recent times? Is absolutely atrocious - Not without reason either. More of the same for their next visit would be great along with similar results on the pitch of course. Here's hoping we can make a start by doing this at their place in a couple of weeks with You Know Who scoring the winner - If that happened? I honestly think Ferguson's head would explode & not before time.......... One other thing? Did anyone else, Think us being outplayed in the middle to an extent, was mainly due to tiredness? Once we got going & through the whole game back in October? We were by far the more dangerous/coherent side & they just seemed to slowly disintegrate as they often have against us recently; Now is it me or is what I've seen from us against them recently? The beginnings of something more than just us no longer being scared of them? I actually think? Kenny is gradually - Oh so very slowly but clearly noticeably now? Instilling into this team & squad? The belief that they are if not better than United? Their equals on the pitch against one another with us? Being the better team on the day & expecting to win when we play them by the looks of things - I think he's putting that into our team's heads whenever we play them now And eventually? He'll try & instill in us as well I think? That we are well capable of the same in relation to them over a season as well. It's starting to show to whenever we play them now - If we don't beat them? I now expect us to at least outplay &/or scare them & that's something? I never used to feel. As I said? I think it's so noticeable now because it was Never there before. Well? It is now & what's more? I think Ferguson's noticed this of late to - Hence the Suarez debacle & his utter Fury at Saturday's result. Well? Tough Luck Alex - There's Plenty more where that came from & not before time either - Something like what's happening now with us? Has been waaaaay overdue. Not any more...................
  9. Thought we played well as a Group in the two halves doing different jobs per half. In the first? We concentrated on holding at bay their threat & letting the likes of Scholes, Giggs etc wear themselves out without providing To much threat whilst doing something They have perfected against us in recent years - Namely striking on the break Just when it looks like They will be the ones scoring & although they did just that in the first half? They did little else. Although I'll settle for Carra' being on the bench from now on if it's alright with Kenny? He gives just To many heart attacks now on the pitch never mind in That position & against Them of all teams!!! Second half? That all changed completely - Most noticeably soon after Scholes was taken off & Our subs brought on/Our team rejigged? The game completely changed & we looked Very dangerous nearly Every time we went forward, Hit the bar, scored at the end, forced their keeper & backline into utter panic more than once with at least One similar risk at our end but other than the moment where Skrtel helped save us? They offered Nothing at our end in the second half & on the second half performance? We deserved it. Also is it me? Or is the number of players we have scoring against them? Not to mention the number of mistakes/deliberate tactics we're starting to benefit from against them? Starting to increase drastically on the fucking embarrassing situation 3 or 4 years ago where one of ours? Hadn't scored against them in any games for 5 or 6 years I think bar own goals. I say that because in recent years the likes of Agger, Kuyt, Gerrard, Dossena (!!), Torres, Crouch & Babel have all scored against them & often from recurring situations (i.e. Gerrard free kicks through collapsing walls or penalties earned by springing their backline & getting past fullbacks at OT). Quite a reversal from the dark days of the 90's no? Were most of their goals against us (Especially at Anfield) resembled Aggers or a sideways version of Kuyts from a corner & our defenders (especially the likes of Kvarme)? Made stuff ups like Vidic's against Torres a couple of seasons ago? Every bloody time we played them. Particularly in yesterdays game though? I noticed a couple of distinct tactics we used on them - One? Was the second goal which I've seen us use against them a few times now - The counter attack executed at speed up the pitch & the resultant goal at the Kop? Were similar to both goals in the October '09 game & the long pass, flick on from Carroll tactics? I'm pretty sure we used before against them at OT for at least one Torres goal & maybe the Dossena one as well? But the Really Interesting tactic from us if you ask me? Was the first goal. I know the keeper was crowded out as per such situations against a shite keeper & as they used time, time & time yet again against us with David James in the 90's but I'm sure I've seen the method Agger used to get the space to score used against us as well. Specifically? Twice by United themselves & to the benefit? Of Gary Fucking Pallister who only got about 5 goals in his whole career & in this game? Got nearly 50% of them with 2 against us. Those goals though? Were the result of a deliberate ploy I've Never seen repeated since.........Until yesterday. Basically? everyone whose big in the side bar a couple of large(ish - but not the biggest) defenders? Goes forward & blocks out the keeper whilst a couple of the larger (but not biggest) defenders together with one whose a Real tower - in this case Agger & I think Kelly & a couple of others (Henderson? Kelly?) Stay Back behind the penalty area resulting in a significant gap between the crowd on the goalline & the crowd waiting just beyond the penalty area. Then when the corner is taken? Well, that's when The crowd waiting behind the penalty area All charge in en masse on different runs at the ball & more often than not if timed to perfection? This tactic will result in at least one of the crowd suddenly appearing in the penalty area? Getting a free header directly at goal unchallenged as nearly all the opposition's defenders & their goalie? Will be far to busy in the physical battle on the goalline with the rest of your sides bigger brutes. (in this case? Caroll, Kuyt etc). As I remember it in the 90's in the match I'm thinking of? That particular tactic against us with James in goal? Caused utter chaos & resulted in them getting 3 headers in succession, 1 of which hit the bar, then another was saved & then? Pallister scored. Well? We only needed one attempt at the same tactic yesterday for Agger to score - Thinking on? Pretty sure Kuyt used the same tactic against Everton & Benfica for a couple of goals a few seasons ago as well. Anyway well done Dan!! Thought he was due a goal against that mob having long since scored against the likes of Chelsea & Arsenal - Always wondered if he'd eventually net against those fuckers as well & very glad he did - Here's hoping for some more from him to come this year. Well done on a great week Redmen & here's hoping This time? You remember How to win for Wednesday night so we translate this form? Into the league & begin a run that the return of Luis & the chance of at least one trophy? Will only spur us into continuing - Let's make sure that was The turning point and? We only go up from here hopefully culminating in Luis holding the trophy up at Wembley in late February with one hand & showing the FA Just what he thinks of them with other. Oh & Allow me to add to the general merriment at Them the other day & encapsulate my thoughts on That winner here by Saying? GET IN YOU REDMEN!!! TAKE THAT & FUCK OFF YOU SNIDE, SLY, EVIL LYING MANC' & MEDIA BASTARDS!!!! AND EVRA? MEET NEMESIS AKA KARMA - HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR RELATIONSHIP. Yesterday was a Good start & Just think? To Add to the roar of the Kop behind you after Kuyt's goal? In a few weeks? You'll be meeting Luis again - Have Fun; I Know He will............ Now Fuck off Back to Manchester & take your Half Starved Pet Journo's with you - They've been away from their kennels & anything Like decent news or investigative work for Far to long!!!! NB Did anyone else as I did? Think that Kuyt's late winner to knock Them out of the FA Cup at Precisely the same stage? Was revenge Not for what they did last season at OT but for when they dumped us out in similar fashion more than a decade ago in that sickening 1999 season when We dominated the game at OT & Solksjaer? Popped up with a Very similar goal to Kuyt's? Karma might take a while but in the case of Evra & the goals similarity? It Always gets you in the end...................
  10. Precisely my thoughts Preston Red mate. Can Just see this being the FA's big counterstrike against 'Racists' (i.e. Us) to reaffirm their Anti-Race Credentials ahead of the John Terry tie & in True injured Child determined to get it's own back & get the last hit fashion that the FA are Very fond of? I can Just see the FA ahem 'punishing' us for our T-shirts/remarks re That Fix-up on Suarez etc by ensuring we lose to the Very club who started all this Live on TV via All the help they can give & help which? They Will give make no mistake. Screwed over is bloody right -Can see it coming a mile off..................
  11. No issues - Mental Health or otherwise Clangers & Colin? It's just the Way I type - Always Have done? Always Will do. Don't know Why I do that? I just do & not much is going to change that now............. Precisely Fungus - There's Hidden money issues at that club bubbling away nicely underneath like a volcano does just before it erupts & with Spurs? That eruption Will come - Sooner or later at WHL? The financial chickens Are going to come home to roost there & coincidentally? It'll most likely be Just about the time 'Arry leaves - Funny that............
  12. And how can you tell my Size or much else from a profile photo showing Only my Face? Shouts at Cars? Nope. Good idea though - Might try it when next I'm drunk on a night out. I know Vlad' mate; I realised you were joking - Just been wound up today by other Family stuff so took a minute to see it. Anyway back to the thread topic? Harry Redknapp? Where Will he end up? Managing England? Jail? Or unlikely as it yet seems the First Englishman to win the league as a manager since Howard Wilkinson in 1992? And the first one to do it at a Bigger Club since our own Joe Fagan Waaaaay back in 1984?
  13. Fungus? That Is me!!! I was born in Hertfordshire in 1978 & spent the next 20 odd years between there & Lancashire where my Dad's family are from; How Precisely am I Not English then might I ask? Although I suppose by virtue of my Mum's Dad? I Could claim to be a quarter Scots as well since he's from Edinburgh but mainly? English to my core. I'm not mad Vlad' I just like to get my points across is all. Silverlining? What did you Think I looked like then If I may be so bold as to ask? And as to my appearence? That operation I mentioned? Involved my jaw being broken in 2 places & reset with steel plates inserted to reset it's position; Therefore, if I look a Little older/the worse for wear? Then it's not really a surprise is it?
  14. Wrong Anubis - I'm just a Reds fan whose Very passionate about us with a rather extended knowledge of our history and this comes? By virtue of doing nothing much than read match reports of ours from Years ago for something to do when recovering from an operation that cost me 2 pints of blood & nearly killed me back in 2005; Something which then? Left me Only able to move my little finger & having to learn to walk, talk, eat, shave, the lot from Scratch. I filled the long aimless boring days with LFC & Relearning skills I'd had since I was a toddler. Hence my knowledge of our 'Glory' Years (try Decades - It's what separates us from the rest). I read virtually Every match report from those days & in truth? We weren't much liked - Even then, the sarcasm, jibes & digs are never far from the writers pens. Hardly surprising I suppose when you think that The chief writer of them All back then who reported on us? Was none other than Patrick Barclay. I'm also a fan whose followed us since 1984 when I was 6. As to the name? It's about Us actually - Red for Liverpool & Shadow? For Where we sit at the Very top of the tree here or more accurately? The shadow we cast over All the rest including Them down the road who are So jealous of us even now. It was a windup to a Manc' mate in the first place that I used this name. Someone who used to troll LFC forums looking for windups - I told him he'd be able to find me by that name on any forum I joined (I'm not just Redshadow on here BTW) & Why I'd picked/made up That name in particular. Needless to say? He wasn't amused but then Mancs? Never are - They all take after the creature they call a manager if you ask me with sense of humour bypasses galore. Still nothing new there - They've always been like that as far back as I can remember & nothing looks like changing any time soon........... NB Thanks Razor. I'll try to do my best on Twitter as on here mate.
  15. No Vlad mate I've had some Right ding dong battles with them over the utter shite they insist on posting about us already. Especially Danny Fulbrook of the Star. He? Utterly Hates us & then some (The fact I bolded the word Hate? Should give you a good indication of just How much LOL). He's chock Full of bile, venom, untruths, nastiness & jokes about us. Yet for some unknown reason? Every time I ask him a sensible question about us or make a good point? He Never replies. Now I wonder why That is? Hmm, very strange.................. NB Also? Had a good few debates with the likes of Clarke Carlisle, Jason Roberts, That angry man who Used to be married to Jamelia & has a temper on him & then some; Even rowed with Ollie Holt whom I generally respect. Anyway, All of their default positions? Were that Suarez said 'Negro' & it's Wrong with a capital W, End of. When confronted with the Evra video (the one where he said That word?) They started trying to confuse me with rows about the Context Suarez said it in (without knowing my area of expertise/recent study) Then later? They ended up falling back a bit & saying basically? "Oh but Luis said it in an Insulting way & That? Makes All the difference" apparently without even registering the fact they've changed their arguments to counter mine? Shows they Know they're damn well wrong. Oh - They also reckon as a result of their warped in support of Evra views? That Suarez would have No case in a Civil Court when I who've actually Studied Law at Degree Level? Can tell you the fact Evra's sorry excuse for a 'case' with More holes in it than a cheese grater? Would be utterly ripped to pieces within all of Hmm, 5 minutes in a Real Court - Again? When I pointed this out to them? I recieved No reply. Funny that..................
  16. What? Write Loads of small tweets making up Huge points & paragraphs you mean? I'll just end up with Big (broken down into smaller sections but No smaller in the end) posts galore. Incidentally on Twitter? The Sheer level of Anti LFC Venom from some of the Gentlemen (Not) Of Her Majesty's Press has to be Seen to be believed. It really does but When you've seen it? That goes a Loooong way to explaining the attitude to our club that's been prevalent in the last 2 decades at the very least......... NB BTW? Here's my Twitter Address if you Don't believe me. That's a photo of me & my Little boy on there. Think you can tell Which of us is the more handsome LOL God only knows Where he gets it from but? It's clearly not Me. https://twitter.com/#!/Simon_Worden
  17. Nope shoes - I'm Not in a wheelchair..........Not Yet anyway. Bolding in this case? Was for emphasis. Oh & BTW? My thoughts are All my own.
  18. Scou3r? Better Below? "Reacher? Thanks for the concise analysis mate; FWIW? I wasn't saying Harry was Nothing to do with Spurs' revival - Just that he benefitted immensely from the work of a number of his predecessors at the top at that club. His management has been fairly concise & astute at times whilst at others? It's been not so good. Yes, the team he's built up Now? Is quite impressive I'll agree but don't forget? Before he could benefit from the so-called "pace & clinical finishing" approach he's so lauded for? They went through a whole stack of centre forwards alone never mind midfielders before finding a half decent combination (Oh & FWIW If you ask me? Carroll's not a carthorse - Just given No service & Nothing like a decent run in the team to play himself into form thus far - I'll agree with you on Downing though - He? Is an utter coward & Needs to up his performance levels out of all current recognition.....If he's to retain a Red Shirt for much longer). As to Spurs - Don't forget? They only bought Van Der Vaart before last season & churned through the likes of Crouch, Defoe, Pavyluchenko & Bent upfront before finally finding Adebayor as their One reliable finisher (that we Still lack & have since Torres) & he? Is only thus far a temporary solution on loan & with excessive wages as he is. Spurs' starting point back in 08/09 IIRR? Was every Bit as bad as ours was last season & it took them a good season & a half to get back on a half decent keel never mind advance from that. We? Haven't even had that amount of time yet & still? Might win a trophy in that time which is More than Harry's yet managed at Tottenham. Further FWIW? I think we do have pace in our team in the likes of Suarez, Gerrard, Lucas, All the youngsters & Bellamy - Problem being? We just never seem to get them All on the pitch for any extended amount of time without bans/injuries/fate etc getting in the way somewhow. I think Kenny can see very easily that we need pace & what we do & don't need overall as a team. As to what Ferguson & Now 'Arry have been up to for years? Who do you think Ferguson learned All he knows from? Look at the time he & Kenny overlapped before in Kenny's first spell at Anfield then? Look at the team Fergie created at United soon after & compare it soon after that (93/94) to our most recent title winning teams before it (particularly the 87/88 side) - The similarities are uncanny no? And as for me? I doubt that is anything Like an accident. Not when you can watch old Liverpool videos from around the 89/90 season IIRR & see what looks uncannily like a young Phil Neville & Martin Edwards spying on us at a couple of our games in the audience (particularly the one against Wimbledon) & you put that alongside the stories of Them watching Liverpool videos non-stop around that time & learning from us what to do in attack amongst other things. To cut a long story short? It's plain as the nose on my face - Fergie created his United dynasty? In Our very image so of Course he knows just What to do - We bloody well Taught him everything they needed to know. We handed them the tools to topple us without even knowing what we were doing!!! Now? It's down to Us to return the favour & steal it all Back from him & with the man who gave us those lessons in the first place now at the helm? I've no doubt we'll do just that soon enough. All Kenny needs? Is time..................... On Spurs? I think We right now? Actually resemble them from Last season where They drew Far to many games they Should have won for lack of a reliable finisher although our defence is better than theirs then & now; However, to say it's all down to Harry & he's Not benefitted from where he found himself back in November '08 & the time he went there? Is not entirely correct - As to them taking CL football without a sweat? Have you seen the run They have got coming up? It's not a foregone conclusion & they've only taken 1 point from their last 6 so it's not entirely unforeseeable that they might crash as yet. You say about a couple more signings making them Definite title contenders but as I remember it? Weren't We Nailed on title winners by May 2009 with only a Couple of signings to take us up that one Final rung? Look what happened next - It can be that easy to fall from grace & just because it's not happened to them yet? Doesn't mean they can't follow our 2009/10 season with a spectacular disaster of their own. Equally just because We haven't yet? Doesn't mean we Can't follow the 'fast track over 3 seasons or so' route They have to near the Very top of the table - After all if them & City can do it? Why not Us? Simple - we can - There's Nothing stopping us doing what they have bar a lack of belief that we will right now. That doesn't mean we Won't end of story though. All it is is that no-one Knows right now & we Won't for a while yet............ Anyway as it is? I'm not going to say they're nailed on Title Contenders until they Prove they can get over stumbles like their recent form & until I know they've got a same-quality replacement for Adebayor as well as the 2 signings or so you mentioned. On top of all that? They might just have trouble Making all those signings/replacments they need with the massive amount they've wasted/spent recently on good/not so good signings - Not to mention the Cost of getting Adebayor permanently or replacing him. So are Spurs nailed on to continue their rise? Well I expect the media will do All they can to ensure that happens but in actual fact? We shall just have to wait & see on that front but nothing in football? Is anything like certain & Spurs are No exception to that rule whatever others might think....... NB Pistonbroke? If you don't like what I write & only feel the need to reply in order to insult me? Don't bother - Just fuck off instead. NBB Liverpool Lad? I've read Broken Dreams by Tom Bower - It opened my eyes a Lot to what goes on behind the scenes in football & shows how the likes of Redknapp Really operate. In short? I'm in broad agreement with most of those on here that's he's not a bad manager I suppose - Problem is? He's Far to politically/transfer orientated - Always ends up getting involved either politically and/or in dodgy transfers which in turn? Always ends up affecting his performance as a manager - If he's got One weakness stopping him being Truly great? It's that." There you go. No spaz attacks for once no?
  19. On Atkinson truth to tell? I'm not To fussed about having him. He seems to be one of the more honest referees when it comes to us & Usually gives us the benefit of the doubt in many decisions (& has done since he made his debut in that O'Shea game between the 2 sides back in March '07). Anyway - I don't know about anyone else? But regarding Atkinson's Common Sense when often dealing with us? I find This? A quality Much mourned in it's recent absence with Ref's & us of late. What really worries me & I can just See happening &/or being exploited by That lot & Webb on the sidelines? Is the possibilty that Webb or one of them will see some innocuous foul or accidental collision that means nothing in or around the area then? Either Webb or one of the Mancs via Webb? Will communicate this to Atkinson & before you know it? We'll be a man down or a goal down or Both via an utterly ridiculous & completely unjust pen', Red card or Both. Now I know it sounds paranoid but? I can see Them doing (or at least Trying) That little dirty trick? A mile away. One thing's for sure? Ferguson Will have a plan somewhere in all of this to elicit an unfair advantage on Saturday & it will Probably have something to do with the "match to a bomb" atmosphere he helped create with his Lies via Evra - Mark my words..........
  20. Adam to do something stupid? What, like cripple Evra with a truly awful tackle & thus have Him carried off Beantown Red? Or perhaps He'll Look at Webb the wrong way/maybe protest His inclusion in the Manc' Ranks? Something ridiculous no doubt. Agree fully on That one mate; Personally? I Can't see either Saturday's game Or that in a few weeks? Ending 11 A Side - Not by a Long shot & I suspect the damage to one side's personnel numbers On the pitch? Will be weighted solely against us - Don't ask me why? Something just tells me this Will happen. After all? Anfield's been a source of significant pain & embarrassment for Ferguson & That mob for a good few seasons now - Even This year? They were damn lucky to escape with a draw & Know it. Can't have That happening to the almighty Fergie & God's Own Team again can we so this? Is his way of evening up the odds. And I'm telling you Now? The Ref' Will have a significant influence not just on the outcome of Saturday's game? But at Old Trafford as well. Count on it...............

  22. Torres & Goals? Well, He guaranteed them When he was with Us Kalasoma & No-one can argue with that - His record in a sometimes utterly shite team over the nearly 4 seasons he was with us? Was better than Any forward we've had since and? You can't simply replace That - Also? There was something Very different about him with us - He had for want of a better word? An Edge/ A sharpness/A 'DeadEye' Quality and? He's not had it since he went - In fact? I'd say he's Very clearly lost that edge since he left Anfield & God knows If he'll get it back never mind when............ NB The words? Just How I write - Dunno why; Just is. And re' what I said about Torres? He's more a 'Gun' than someone who guarantees 'bullets' if you put it That way - I said he Fires the bullets just to clarify - Not that he Is them.
  23. Shanks69? It was the 1990 World Cup in Italy where Harry got in a car crash IIRR from reading something regarding that once - Not the 1982 edition in Spain. KingEmlyn & Chrisbonnie re' Harry Redknapp? He's Not As Good as you both seem to think. All he's done is purchase a number of players in positions Any idiot could see they need reinforcing & build on the great Youth Policy bequeathed him by Various Previous Managers & Administrators at Spurs who will remain nameless at this moment in time. They even started with him from the Very bottom of the league to (& Again This season if you check the end of August's League Tables) Just like Kenny with us. Oh yes & before I forget? One other constant that Always follows him around like the plague & which has yet to happen to Spurs but Shall some time soon? Is the virtually Inevitable Financial Collapse. In short? They Will have a Lot of financial trouble either before or just after the time Redknapp finally ups & goes from WHL - It happened to Southampton & Portsmouth with him there, West Ham's finances weren't to clever either when 'Arry was in charge & Spurs? Will conform to that pattern eventually, Mark my words...............
  24. Agreed FanchesterCity - To bloody right he's a fucking Liability for you - You know what? You're Not going to like this but Balotelli? Reminds me a little of an utterly mad Italian Version of Cantona for some unknown reason - You Never know What he's going to do next & he can Very easily blow up as blow the opposition to bits. You just Never know with Mario what it's going to be.............. Also El Rojo? Wish you & that other poster earlier would man up a little. Yes It Might be difficult to get Fourth next year it might not but Two things? First Shouldn't we be Aiming Higher than Mere Fourth? Spurs supposedly Only wanted Fourth this year but eventually aimed higher & look where they are now & secondly? Aren't you forgetting that with CL games & Lots of extra commitments? It might just be far Easier to overtake Arsenal/Spurs etc next season. Spurs look worn out of late anyway & that's WithOut the CL - God knows How tired they'll be this time Next year but I think? The Fatigue factor Will affect them a lot & then some. Also - Did you really think we'd do well enough to get Fourth this year? I didn't - Not when we bought a Great Maker of bullets in Suarez, got another such fit in Gerrard & have yet another like that in Bellamy but at the same time? Well, we only then went & Sold the one man we had guaranteed to Fire those bullets in Torres - I think we should get one like him & at least one more on Top of that back in terms of Half-decent strikers Before we worry about challenging for more than just knockout cups & for us to Stop fcuking up the Home games against shite sides we'd grown to take for granted with Torres there - We Need a couple of Good strikers - Either that or Andy Carroll to be embarrassed/enraged into Finally finding his shooting boots & us to buy one in backup for him. You never know I suppose. We shall see whatever happens.....................
