  1. Useless thread. You see what you want to see. Most people have made their mind up and want Rafa gone. They are the ones who voted no in this thread. Then there´s us who feel priveleged to have a manager with a fantastic CV and won´t lose faith in him because we think he is a winner that will take us to number 19 when he gets the financial backing he deserves. We are the ones who voted yes.
  2. So the owners not putting any money on the table for him has nothing to do with it? You massive, massive tool.
  3. How people seem to be talking of Mourinho as the second coming is getting on my tits. His teams know how to play on the counter and how to make the most of set pieces yes, but his teams don´t play attractive football. It´s funny how everyone seems to have forgotten he was sacked from Chelsea for not playing the attractive football Abramovich felt his money deserved. He did very well at Porto but to be honest he had things served to him on a silverplate at Chelsea. We would be less attractive with Mourinho in charge, fact.
  4. Dominating a team that lies in 9th place and has been in the top 10 the whole season, on their ground, is not bad for a club in crisis. This ship ain´t sinking that´s for sure.
  5. Daily Post North Wales - Sport News - Liverpool FC - Rafa Benitez has no idea when Liverpool FC's Alberto Aquilani will play again RAFA BENITEZ is unsure when Alberto Aquilani will be available for duty again after the Italian ruled himself out of training before Liverpool FC’s Europa League clash with Benfica. Aquilani has been plagued by injury since he joined the Reds from AS Roma and told Benitez earlier this week he had concerns about the ankle that caused him so much trouble when he first arrived. It is still unclear what course of action the club will pursue but it is understood the midfielder, who has only made eight starts since August, is so concerned that he feels surgery might be an option. Benitez, though, is not sure that such a severe prognosis is necessary and will continue to consult his medical staff to see how the 25-year-old responds to treatment. “He was complaining of pain in his ankle and said he couldn’t train,” said Benitez. “We will have to talk with the doctors when we get back to see what’s going on because at the moment we don’t know. “He has some pain and we will just analyse that with the doctor. It’s the same ankle he did before. “Some players maybe can manage with the pain, but some – when they have pain – cannot. When you talk of pain you never know, it depends on each individual and that makes it really difficult.” Clearly Benitez is puzzled by the situation but one thing he is sure on is Albert Riera’s standing in the squad; though the winger tried to broker peace with Liverpool on Thursday, his attempts of reconciliation will be futile. Benitez, whose side face Birmingham City tomorrow, is still furious that Riera did two radio interviews before Liverpool faced Lille in the Europa League and called the club a “sinking ship”. Riera’s loan move to Spartak Moscow collapsed after he asked the Russian club to double his wages but there is unlikely to be any way back for him at Anfield, even though he feels there can be. “We still have some time until the end of the Russian transfer window so we will see what happens,” said Benitez. “I didn’t see his latest comments but for me, on the day before a massive game when he was talking this way was disappointing. It was especially so when he was saying things that weren’t true, so I was really surprised. “I was really disappointed with his timing and the comments themselves. He also said he wants to play, that’s why he had to go, but our fans are not stupid and they will know what’s going on. We’ll see what happens now.” The Reds boss, meanwhile, has brushed aside fears that an uneven pitch at St Andrew’s tomorrow will stymie Liverpool’s hopes of pushing for the top four and wants to see another encouraging performance. “It’s always difficult when the pitch isn’t good enough, so we will have to see,” said Benitez. “After a couple of days rest we will check the players and see how they are. “If we have to rest someone we will see because we want to keep the performance at the same level. But at this moment I don’t see anyone as a risk. The pitch will be the same for both sides, but we will have to show character too.” Spot on Rafa mate. (6) The sooner he fucks off the better. Credit to Rafa for admitting Riera was a shit buy.
  6. They are both honest blokes. I would like to hear from them if they would consider signing for Man Utd, if they were not Liverpool players. It never crossed my mind one of our own would do such a thing until Owen did it.
  7. ... Albert Riera, go f*ck yourself.
  8. FACT. Reina Johnson Carra Agger Aurelio Mascherano Aquilani Kuyt Gerrard Benayoun Torres
  9. Arsenal finsihed a whopping 18 points behind the winners last season. With nine games reamining of the current season, they´re one point behind the leaders and favourites to win the whole shebang. Sit still in the boat folks or you will take us all down. Get a life oustide of football if you have to.
  10. Winning two major trophies in his first two seasons, Rafa sent expectations through the roof. He´s paying for that now. I for one am pretty sure we´d have a brighter look at things had we NOT won those two trophies. This season would be looked upon as a setback and nothing else. Now, it´s more or less "We´re going backwards". Stay calm people and cheer the fuck up. If you panic, you always lose. In Rafa I Trust.
  11. There was a time we couldn´t keep hold of the ball for more than ten seconds at Old Trafford, and it was not that long ago either. In Rafa I Trust.
  12. Rumour has it he´s on our radar. Is he good enough? I don´t watch Italian football.
  13. Find them league stats a bit hard to believe... :wow:
  14. I´m talking about his entire time here mate... you know the stats?
  15. How many is that for him now? In how many apps? Legend...
  16. Anti Rafa brigade in clutching at straws shocker... :telloff:
  17. Has Riera fallen out of favour completely?
  18. Houllier had a CV that didn´t even come close to Rafa´s. And it was obvious to everyone that Houllier didn´t have a plan. Fortunately I don´t think Rafa is as deluded.
  19. Every time I type that Rafa should be given more time, members on this board reply with a "Who do you support, Benitez or Liverpool Football Club!?". Let´s just straighten out what seems to be a massive misunderstanding. When I say that I want to give Benitez more time it is because I think that´s what´s best for my club, not for Rafa Benitez. He could do a lot better elsewhere I´m sure. It´s not about that. It´s about that I think we would struggle to find a manager this good again. You can say all you want about his record here but the facts are there: the guy´s a winner. Just have a look at his CV. I also reckon it comes a time when a manager has to go for the better of the club. Having brought us forward on a season-by season basis up until this one, I do think Rafa has more to offer to this club. Let´s also not forget that sticking with a manager is the best way to build a great side, just ask any Arsenal or Man Utd supporter.
