  1. Have just logged onto The Liverpool Way after a time away. Used to be the most intelligent forum out there, that's why I used it - hasn't turned into a depressing slagging match has it.....
  2. The Clubs still got loadsa tickets. Harder to find will be cheap flights and hotels
  3. Thanks for the info ATK, we need RBS to call the fucking loan NOW! So Purslow and Ayre still there, ish? Basically fighting our corner. Ok, I am a massive Red Sox fan, been to Fenway loads of times. The Red Sox are run excellently, the owners turned the club around, end of. They have a salary cap and won't be held to ransom by players who demand more money (Johnny Damon). Boston is the sports capital of America, it's basically Liverpool over there. However, it is very expensive to watch the Red Sox (trust me)! However, the Red Sox fans have New England Sports Network on cable where they get to watch EVERY SINGLE FUCKING RED SOX GAME LIVE! If this guy gets his teeth into English football we may finally fuck our Sky subscriptions off, bet the Premier League are watching closely.... and for the record, it is very cool to wear a Red Sox cap!
  4. I hear the blues were plannin to sing no woman no kai at Goodison, but if they never got to sing it, it isn't actually nicking it :)
  5. yeah this is the kind of guy I was talking about on the Kop, best fans in the fucking world pmsl...embarrasing.
  6. Torres is fucking brilliant isn't he. This is about the 3rd time he's come out and said this over the course of the last 18 months. I'm not gay but I'll admit I'd have a little smile on my face if I could give him a cuddle :) Loads of ex players have blasted the yanks at some point or another, Phil Thompson did big time end of last season, and Aldo's always saying it. I had some moron on the Kop against Benfica last season singing, 'Liverpool, Liverpool' at half time trying to shout down the cries of Yanks out, saying get behind the team instead. He had previously told Carragher to shut his fucking mouth and called Kuyt a thick Dutch twat. And they NEVER sing, but they'll shout down the lads in the 305. Hypocrites most on the Kop. I reckon most Kopites might just maybe wake up and realise they've been wankers over our ownership situation if Kenny Dalglish walked towards the Kop, arms outstretched, with a Yanks Out Tshirt on, asking, "what the fuck do we have to do to get a protest going"???? ...Maybe
  7. Sorry Original i wasn't singling anyone out, and you're right it's Ian Ayre who did it, he's responsible for ALL merchandising/sponsership, revenue streams in general. To be fair, he's done a great job from all reports. Just don't screw the fans, the ticket prices are now too high, and the club know it or else they wouldn't be reducing the Europa leage games etc for fear of a half empty ground. Wish there was something that could be done, but if people couldn't be bothered boycotting to get the yanks out they won't do anything about this either.
  8. I'm that incensed I can't even type properly!!!!!!!
  9. it's a fucking discrace!! I went the games last year lifetime but proposed a boycott of the west ham game, only pierre ran with it and pushed it, so we had an opportunity to push it and your kinda right, just a handful of die-hards who had principles to make a point. I don't wanna see people posting shit about we have it lucky compared to Chelsea - I don't earn London fucking wages. I was all chuffed over Joe Cole and they sneak this in -cunts. Lat yeah A games were £39 so it's a £6 increase. Add the booking fee onto the £45 and it's pretty much £50 to watch a match. I can afford it, but my DD for my membership comes out of the bank on Friday, I'm just about to cancel it. Journalists and pundits are going to say that this is Football nowadays, but we seriously need to have a fucking riot on Christian Purslow's fron lawn. CUNTS
  10. I've boycotted. Loadsa empty seats. Some prob due to apathy but loads prob cos of word of mouth. Well done Pierre. If your at the game checkin your emails at half time, fuckin protest will yer.
  11. Don't know why people would still be opposed to a boycott, its a dead rubber game, so more attractive to boycott than a pre-season friendly. If people are still in delusions that the Yanks aren't holding the club back then they're livin on a completely different planet. I'm not goin, and if they're still here next season, I'm gonna pick another favourable game to boycott next season aswell.
  12. I think Adidas have clauses built into all that though that enable them to use Reals players in adverts for general Adidas stuff, but don't quote me on that. Either way, this could be a disaster if it gives the Yanks the money they need for RBS.
  13. Well I'm definately not going. Shame this wasn't put out to a wider fanbase, it was picked up on the est1982 and lfconline sites, but they're a bunch of negative fuckers. I've missed two games all season including cups, and badly want to go, but I'm not buying a ticket. So I'm cutting off my nose to spite my face? If this at least makes people think about really getting it going for a Monday night game or league cup game EARLY next season then it has been worth it. Really it needed to be done before the RBS deadline for investment, but LFC fans these days are just as bad as all the rest. According to the LFC website tickets are on sale on Monday. Even if it doesn't get highlighted anywhere, if LFC fans at least discuss it around the city and at the matches, then common thinking can build it into something bigger next season. Even a few determined people can get the ball rolling. if you're a ST holder at the match then protest like crazy, and if anyone shouts you down tell them to fuck off, they'll probably chant 'Liverpool' for all of two seconds and then go silent like they have been all season. Protest like mad and that'll get more momentum going. DON'T BUY A TICKET!
  14. fucker would still just pop up somewhere else - he's like where's wally!
  15. I take it people are just buyin tickets to this then? Out of the thousands of views some threads get this has only had a handful of definates :(

Of course they won't care what he says, but it all cranks the pressure up. If Moores says enough on it, it's a massive headline across the back pages, and if he says something strong enough it would get massive momentum for a push to get rid of the Yank twats. Bet you wouldn't have thought it was possible to get a board member to resign.. oh hang on!
  17. Good point, it would feel like a pisser if you missed the opportunity to go and the message was lost due to lack of numbers, but you just gotta have conviction. A small start can lead to bigger things if enough people think along the same lines. It's a lot to ask 20 odd thousand not to turn up, but if we got under 40,000 going like the Reading FA cup game, and Dominic King reported why the ground wasn't full - thats's an achievement right there.
  18. Everton or Birmingham, haha , what is this fuckin Four Four Two? Whoever it is, prob won't be Liverpool, sorry. I reckon Spurs, and I tipped them at the start of the season, so I'll be rather smug!
  19. Tom Hicks has repeatedly said he's in this for the long haul, so sellin a stake just keeps them in power to raise the £100m, admitted by Purslow. What's your point?
  20. Well in for runnin this Pierre, your a dude. Don't anyone say "we should support the team instead", because no-ones been singing all season apart from the lads in 305, so you'd be a fucking hypocrite. It's been well recieved, but thread kinda got sidetracked with wear black etc. Any of that will not give the owners or the banks a care about us as we're still paying! As for walk out or turn backs, I understand why, but the owners will just think we're tits and laugh their heads off, I mean come on, how fucking stupid do you have to be, it's like buying a car and then walking to work to stop someone else harming the environment. I appreciate the visual impact of buying a ticket to stop others going and not turning up, but we have to stop the revenue, pure and simple. The TV money will ensure the club isn't hurt for this game, but sends out a massive sign of intent. If enough don't go, we've achieved something. As for Tshirts, please don't put RIP on them, we're fighting for the club, thats so defeatist. Theres been quite a bit of apathy too -well use it - don't bother going!!! As for shoutin the American owners out - Portsmouth Monday night is televised, do it then if you care. We're Liverpool, we've always led, never followed. LFC v West Ham- BOYCOTT
  21. Lets boycott a game. I'm serious. I hoover up tickets to the match as much as anyone, but now is the time to strike (no pun) and hit them where it hurts. Put your money where your mouth is. The SOS billboards are fantastic and we need to build on this now the morons on the Kop that usually shout down 'dissenters' have finally twigged we're bein choked by interest payments. The West Ham game is ideal. Its a Monday night so no daytrippers. Its on ESPN, so no-one misses it. Tickets don't go on sale until the 25th March. I don't wanna hear people would just go. If we advertise it, people will be aware of it, now things are gatherin pace this is really the time. I'd be prepared to stand outside all game. I know we have 20 odd thousand season ticket holders, but if they held their season tickets up on their way in, we'd let them through no shouts. 20,000 instead of 40,000 in Anfield would look boss on the telly, they'd have to discuss it!! I also don't wanna hear that we'd be hurting the club. Thats incorrect. The best thing that can happen is that the Yanks' revenue streams get stopped. They'd be forced to sell. If we got took over by RBS they would't be allowed to dissolve it, they'd be shitting themselves (they put a letter out at a mention of a boycott), they'd just sell us on. Whats all this bollocks about are SOS responsible for stuff, are they not, shite. We should all do something together as Liverpool fans, members of something or not. I've been on two of the protest marches and I'm not a member of SOS. SOS was set up because no-body else gave a fuck. Now they do, so why not start acting like it. I don't know how about goin to get this organised, but I'd be prepared to put £50 in to get a full page in the Echo - Liverpool V West Ham - BOYCOTTED
  22. well and truly fucking sent -now lets boycott the West Hame game. The ManUre fans are putting us to shame, but 74,000 of the pricks still turned up tonight. One fucking game, thats all - BOYCOTT.
  23. From your post a few posts up, you've just stated your support of wanting the owners out by boycotting products, but the quoted post slates the organisers of the march -that would hurt the club far less (the less the value of the club through sales , the less likely they will sell at a profit). i am not questioning your methods, as I myself have thought about your way, but through your dislike of SOS you hi-jacked a good thread. I myself am wary of SOS due to the hardcore attitude of RTK, but i still went on the march as it was a good protest, well organised, and people acted with dignity but passion. People knew what it was for. The good folk in the cabbage were smiling, taking pics like we were a parade or something. if they wanted to know what was happening, they could have walked the welly wangling distance from their pints to the meeting point. we were right in front of them for half an hour before the offset. But like Realred states, just respect their actions. However, if you agree you want the owners out, showing apathy towards a perfectly good protest is kinda questionable.
