  1. It's not so far fetched to think we may have lost the league, I echo the thoughts of many here, many people believe we can win this league, and rightly so. Over the past few weeks I've pretty much disagreed with every single decision Rafa has made in the league, and it has cost us. Part of me believes it's his stubborn side coming back, and part of me believes that he has players there that need good man management skills. For example, 2 weeks ago Benitez comes out and says Keane is low on confidence, and then doesn't play him, despite an exceptional game v PSV. I've got this gut feeling that towards the end of the season, we will miss out on the league by very few points, and we wouldn't even had to have won all the games at home to be there. Now before anyone jumps down my throat, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that we could be walking this league. Stoke, Fulham, West Ham and Hull City are games Benitez has played a massive factor in us dropping points. It's not bad if we drop the odd point at home, but I believe the dropped points will cost us towards the end of the season. We haven't really played well this season, we haven't battered anyone, and although people say the sign of a good team is coming back from behind, not even United did that week in week out, so we are either an accident waiting to happen, or are serious title challengers. My arse is already red raw from the antics of our team this season, and we haven't even hit squeaky bum time yet...
  2. To define how much I want Owen back. I will carry him on my back to Liverpool, from Newcastle, let him call me a dirty bitch whilst in the pissing down rain singing 'Ironic' by Alanis Morissette
  3. "People are dying NOW. Give us the money NOW. Give me the money now." Legend
  4. But the words 'Fucking Come on' where the first thoughts that came into my mind when I heard the final score of West Ham v Chelsea in the Echo Arena this evening. I said yesterday, Lady luck will be on our side for eternity if Chelsea slip up, and that they have. We can't let this slip anymore the league is ours to take, no more bollocking about, no more last minute wins, no more fannying around with the team, no more being stubborn Rafa, no more booing, no more pointing fingers Keane, no more games where we make it hard for ourselves. We are on the brink of something special. ...Fucking Come on.....
  5. I thought there was going to be a moment where Nadal and one of our Spanish Players or Rafa himself would come on stage with the Wimbledon Trophy and the Euro 2008 Cup. They put them on props, only to take them down almost straight away. T'was a shame, but it was a good night.
  6. T'was funny, you could tell who all the arl arse scousers where around you, when they sat down and never clapped. I myself gave a gentle applause.
  7. Just came home. I would shag Rebecca Adlington, and it's not even funny.
  8. Just came home from the Arena, all in all a good night, Seat seat right at the back of the stage mind, Lewis Hamilton walked right past me. There where quite a few forgeries going around and seat swapping so It's no suprise Sir Bobby the tout was in the arena. When Ian Rush and Phil Neville came on to the title of 'Local Heroes' I almost shit my pants. Phil Neville is about as much of a local hero as Eric Cantona...Bizarre choice of words.
  9. Just got this email...How lucky can one guy be!
  10. I couldn't watch the TV programme. I just can't get it into my head what would drive two ten year olds to do such a thing, then you look at the up bringing. It's nuture over nature. The whole thing is just heart breaking
  11. I honestly think that the home games this season will cost us big time. Of course no one is going to bring up negatives about anyone, it's called winning, and enjoying it. Maybe I'm not on the same wave length as the rest of you, but we have a team that can win the league, and we had a team last season that should have done alot better than it did last season in the league. If it turns out these games cost us at the end of the season, the buck stops with Rafa, and if he hasn't changed his ethos and stopped being so stubborn we won't succeed in the league with him. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm willing to bet a large sum of money that we have lost the league today, it feels that way, It really does. If West Ham beat Chelsea, and we don't beat Arsenal. I'm sorry but we don't deserve fuck all. I can handle it when we batter teams and it's 0-0, but quite clearly the team selection today was awful, his subs where awful and it's been like that in many games that have cost us, Spurs, Stoke and Fulham spring to mind.
  12. I blame Benitez. We have a team that is capable of winning the league, and he's fucked/fucking it up with some bizarre decisions of late.
  13. I've just come in from the pub. I really feel today was a big day for us folks. I don't think I've been as confused, and concerned of Rafa's reign since Wigan at Home last season. A few days back he says Keane is low on confidence, and he drops him to the bench for the 2nd league game in a row. He plays his Striker-Turned-Midfielder-Turned-Striker up top on his own against Hull City, and when he does bad, he doesn't take him off and bring on his 20 Million pound 'Low on Confidence' Robbie Keane on, no he lobs Ryan 'I want to play for Ajax' Babel. I feel as if I'm in limbo, I don't believe we will get a better manager than Benitez under the current regime, but I really don't believe Rafa can win us the league, and the past few results at home have shown this. 1 up front v Hull City at home for Championship Contendors? We deserved fuck all today. I said this before, and I'll say it again, we could and should be walking this league. We've had plenty of excellent results from our rivals go our way, and we have failed to capitalise. If we don't win the league, today will be the day that we lost it, because we will finish very close to the leaders, so close infact I believe even just 1 win out of the games we have drew at home so far may have won the league for us.
  14. I hate posts like this, we have been shit at home, Benitez has made some fucked up decisions etc etc...And we blame it on Sky/BBC/Dem Journos and der conspiracy. Riles me up big time, I don't give a fucking shit what Alan Shearer thinks, and even if he said things where boss, he'd be fucking lying.
  15. As someone else said, Rafa's man management skills are shit at best. Some of his decisions regarding the likes of Dossena and Keane especially have been bizarre. Dossena continously is played when he is playing poor, I was calling for Insua to play. So what happend when finally Dossena has a good game v WHU? He gets dropped for Insua? Why? He plays him all this time only to drop him? Yes Dossena isn't that good, but I don't understand the logic. As for Keane, scores his first goal for the club, and after that, he gets benched v City? Why? Benitez has come out and said Keane is low on confidence, so what does he do? He keeps him on the bench when we needed him most? It's all well and good pointing fingers at Keane, but Benitez's management of some of his players has been confusing at best, Crouch, Cisse (Dare I say), Alonso and Agger would probably tell you that as well.
  16. Whichever way you want to look at Keane I.E Over Priced, Under Played, Over Played, Shite, Worldclass. He was a quality player before he joined us, he's a shaddow of his former self, and as much as that is down to Keane in part, Benitez must hold his hand up, as today as shown, he says he is down on confidence, and puts Lucas on ahead of him? What Gives? Or you can look at it that Keane is shit? Either way the buck stops with Rafa on this one.
  17. We have drew at home to Stoke Fulham West Ham Hull The league title race has been very close, and whoever wins it will win it by a margin that we could have over come be beating maybe even 1 of the aforementioned teams at home. It's a ball cruncher, because I honestly believe that we have a team that can win the league, it's just been utilised completely wrong.
  18. True, but even then if you spend 20 Million on a player, which you yourself said was low on confidence AND had a good game in midweek AND didn't bring him on for a very poor Kuyt, you've got to ask yourself what is the logic behind it? Keane may well be to Benitez, what Diouf was to Houllier....
  19. It has. I am telling you now, we will look at this day and say this is where we lost the title.
