What's "pathetic" is that you'll not conceive that someone can have a different view to your own. What's "pathetic" is not taking the trouble to understand why someone might have a different point of view, and what qualifies them to have it. What's "pathetic" is pronouncing your own opinion effectively as fact when you clearly know absolutely about the subject in hand. You have a superficial view based on a superficial understanding of what Broughton and his team did. Educate yourself properly, then perhaps we can debate the matter like adults.

I have plenty of perspective on what happened, from both a corporate finance and footballing point of view. But go on, mate, you make your Broughton banner. "Hero"? Fucking laughable.

His legacy: - Helped rid the club of G&H; but - Replaced Rafa with Hodgson because the media told him to. I'll not reflect fondly on his tenure.

Personally, I was devasted that he was appointed, and knew he'd be absolutely shite, both on and off the pitch. Many of my non-Liverpool supporting pals (I now live in the North East) thought I was over-reacting and put it down to my huge disapppointment at Rafa's sacking. It gives me no pleasure to say that I was right. I just want the clueless, classless cretin gone as soon as possible.

I'm a little bemused by the fact that Purslow kept impressing upon us, the fans, how careful he and the Board were being in terms of the due diligence being done re prospective acquirers, when he clearly undertook the square root of fuck-all as far as Hodgson was concerned. Loathesome twat, and an utter imbecile.

Oh, and Purslow is an absolute prick. His playing to the crowd in court when H&G were finally shown the red card tells you everything you need to know about the man.

They sold the club, which was what they were engaged to do. In my opinion, they acted completely outwith their authority in sacking Rafa and appointing Hodgson; this was not an act necessary for the sale of the club as some have tried to make out.

Yep. He knew that the appointment of Hodgson was a fait accompli (the interviews with other candidates a facade) and tried to do something about it. He would only be a fantastic asset to a proper manager. -
