  1. Lacks a bit of balance for me, say they have as much to fear from our midfield going forward. Kranjcar is capable of moments of brilliance but hasn't got the heart and isn't enough/can't be bothered to track back consistently.
  2. If Henderson is playing on the right of 4-4-2 then I agree but if we've gone 4-5-1 with Downing on right and Saurez pushed out left then it's just as I would have expected.
  3. This is make or break game in many ways. If can win win it we start looking up the table and wondering how far we can go. Anything less leaves us with a pretty average points total and some encouraging displays, but the feeling that 4th would probably be our ceiling for the year. Hopefully today will be the day things come together for us, Saurez and Downing are both due goals today as have been knocking on the door in last few games but would love to see either Bellamy or Carroll bang one in think it would give everyone a boost. I'm going for 3-1, Saurez Downing and Carroll.
  4. If this was 1984 than you would definitely be a strong candidate for the 'inner party'.
  5. Hillsborough is being investigated though and there are at least some people in powerful positions seeing that due process is served and the correct questions are being asked. To me it is more reasonable to question the US government/weapon makers/capitalists given there is history of deceit in these organisations and the events of 9/11 have seen their interests furthered. Saying that he should be aware that we live in a world that is up America arse so much that we must all commerate the 9/11 attacks above the daily tragedy and loss of life that occurs in the third world, and that he should put the club before his right to express his opinion. Maybe to make things right on the anniversary of Hiroshima he can claim that it was an inside job too and absolve America from that little doozie and we'll all be even?
  6. And Lucas would be dropped for this tough away game why? Given all Spurs main men are lefty's I would doubt we'd start with only Bellamy to help out Flanno, especially if we're going without our only specialised defensive midfielder. To be honest as good as Flanagan is/will be, after a poor game against Sunderland, I would be nervous of him matching up against Bale at White Hart Lane. That said I don't particularly want to see Skrtel play there either, but I expect Kenny to stick with him.
  7. Ye its strange though I have been waiting for him to magically just get again but doesn't look like it will ever happen. Anyone still backing him to come good for Chelsea? It has been the most rapid decline of any 'world class' striker I have ever seen, particularly one of his age.
  8. Casilias D.Alves Pique Vidic Cole Busquets Xavi Inestia Schneider Messi Rooney Subs: Gary Breen, Lee Trundle, Mo Mowlan
  9. So we're keeping Degen? Not a bad back up if Johnson, Kelly, Flanagan, Carragher, Skrtl are off playing 5-a-side the same day we have a game.
  10. I've never really understood the idea of a first refusal. Supposing City were interested next Summer as well, how much could a first refusal benefit us?
  11. ye think raul has more to offer. maxi hasn't seen much game time yet and I'd puck him ahead of yossi. but do have a soft spot for him so wouldn't mind if it does come off.
  12. Some guy called Jason Burt from the Telegraph reckons were in for Yossi and that Raul will go, possibly the other way to chelsea.
  13. He is still one of the best players in the league so I think its safe to assume he will deserve his place in front of them two and pretty much anyone else in the squad. I can't fucking wait til he's fit and back in the team.
  14. hull have been trying to get him off the wage bill for ages. if they sacked him for going on the piss I reckon he'll get compensation for unfair dismissal.
  15. 125/1 for Balotelli to get sent off today for fighting on PP. Worth 2 quid. Hopefuly he'll chin Rio.
  16. He is really quick, good strength and is very good in possession. Third best in the league after Cole and Evra for me.
  17. He's 20/1 to be PFA player of the year.. I'll be having a bit of that.
  18. Yeah I can't see any of the top 6 hiring him. Spurs might be a slim possibility if 'arry gets the England job. Pretty much every other team in the league would be a step sideways and if things don't work out in first few months your out of a job. I'd rate Moyes similarly to Martin O'Neill and its hard to see what his next career move will be too.
  19. Hamburg's left back Marcell Jansen linked by caughtoffside for 10 million. Has 35 caps for Germany which is decent for a 25 year old, but has been mostly kept out of side by Lahm. Says he is quite attacking in the article. Add that to being tall and German and its sounds like he could be a decent buy if we are in for him.
