I think if i had the choice the west coast would be high on my list , but property prices seem to have gone nuts in the last 12 monmths or so that ive been looking, although if there are any areas close ish to the city i would consider them.It seems to be the same for calgary , but again city centre for me is not a requirement. What we really need are recommendations of certain good areas , so we can at least begin to search for house prices knowing the areas are ok.The problem is,i know , that the country is so huge, where do you start its a bit scary.Again , thanks for all the replies

Thank you Mr Sex, i think the area will be determined by where my wife is offered employment as she is a nurse and i am a lowly wood floor fitter , but i could be wrong if like you say certain areas are booming. Vancouver sounds good also , although its just about as long a flight as we could get. How long from manchester to calgary? As for the weather i would like some variation , not keen for damp areas as our kids are a little asthmatic. Outskirts of a big city would be ideal for me , my wife wouldnt want to be in the centre . Any advice would be helpful, ive only read "idiots" guides to the whole situation. Cheers

My wife and i are considering moving from the isle of man , and one of the places we are thinking about is Canada. Hopefully my wife being a nurse should help with "getting in". we have 2 girls age 3 and 10 , and the island is great for them ( low crime rate etc) but we are now ready for a change. The problem is this , Canada seems to be slighty bigger than the iom, so wher the hell do we go .:dunno: Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated.
