The wages FSG are willing to pay seems to be part of the problem with our recruitment. Lots of enquiries made last year re Cavani/Sanchez but we likely wouldn't get close on wages. City had to offer their mercs a shit load more than they should have done to get them to come when they were building their squad. I think FSG underestimated this when they came in sadly. Some of the shit we have bought is because its all we could on our wages. Arsenal however did the limited wage structure thing miles better than us. Stadium wise I don't particularly see the issue with building up to 58k (assuming they do the Annie Road) rather than building a new ground.

Lambert is injured and has been sent for a scan. Bollocks. Can't sell the ocean liner if he's broken.

SELL SELL SELL!

No way would be offering him 100k even if it's Euros.

FSG not selling the club confirmed then.

Its the buzz on other forums as well. Mostly stoked up by Tony Evans, he has been axe grinding since they arrived. I don't know whether they will or won't. This transfer window may tell us quite a lot about their thinking. I think they came in thinking FFP would be a lot stronger than it was and have probably had a rethink. I don't believe the original intention was to come in redevelop and sell up. Also i'm in the camp of preferring the idea of redevelopment. Mainly because of what we were shown as the alternative. A bigger Reebok in the park, followed by that utterly stupid NFL stadium and then back to the Reebok in the park. At one point they were going to move for 55k seats. I don't think Speke was ever a serious option. It was more just a way of getting the council to play ball on the planning in the park. Kings Dock i will agree had potential. There was never the will though.

Obviously won't happen but would love to see a bit of Zlatan here for a season. The guy can be a massive flat track bully but its something we've often needed. Also we'd not have any of this "he loves the club" and "he should sack his agent" nonsense when he ups and leaves as he's the ultimate merc.

Tevez is going back to Boca. Nailed on.

Barca for me, but i'm not sure i'd put money on it as its a final and Juve are actually incredibly good and well drilled.

While i agree he hasn't done much there recently. The argument doesn't always work. Coutinho for example at the same club. The fact we seem to have to buy 6-7 prospects/not getting a fair shake players for every diamond is the problem. Ironically enough the Coutinho signing is maybe what has doomed us to some of the transfer dealings we've done since. As he is the perfect example of what FSG want, and what we have completely failed to sign since.

Does Rodgers deserve another season.

Why the fuck June 3rd. If they've made the decision get on with it. Which is why i think that tweet is bollox. -
Given their transfer ban. Not until January.

I think all we know about how far Martinez got is that he met Henry in Florida (and some wag snapped a pic) edit: beaten with photographic evidence. -

Can someone avail me of the mess they made when sacking Kenny/Getting Rodgers in? Who were the other targets at the time? I know about Henry getting snapped having a latte with Martinez in Florida but who else was on the list? -
Is there no alternative to FSG on the horizon?

Someone was moaning about Coutinho? Really? His value for money is up there with Suarez. £8.5 million quid. -
The New Annie Road end is less of a banker for them as it is all general admission seats. The new stand virtually pays for itself with the corporates. Once they managed to secure the housing, which was always the sticking point, it was a no brainer. I still think it will get done if we are still consistently selling out.

When are we likely to get definitive stadium news?

Something i didn't realise until to is the bottom half of the SudTribune is actually regular terracing with crush barriers like back UK grounds 80's. Only the top half is safe standing. I was quite surprised as i thought the Germans only had safe standing but apparently not. -

In the Mirror article Ayre is saying first stage completion by 2016. I would think that means Lothair road is going to be flattened in the summer. As that won't need to wait on planning. -

Yep there is nothing they can do about the TV view. It will be jarring at first as it's been the same since pretty much the advent of colour TV!
