  1. One to make even those with the toughest disposition to wince. Jaw dropping insight into what must surely rank as a real hell on earth, where much of the population have tasted human flesh and 70% of the women have been raped. The journalist from Vice has some balls on him. The Cannibal Warlords of Liberia
  2. Apparently, the players have stopped responding having lost confidence in him. 'They've had enough of his bullshit and dupliticious ways'. Rodgers is accutely aware he's fallen foul of certain senior players in the squad, apparently. Plough enough drinks, in this case an ex manager, and the tongue somewhat loosens.
  3. Carragher was at McGettigans last night for a Q & A. As expected, there was a sense of honesty and frustrations from Carra at our current predicament, but answers were somewhat tempered by his role as a pundit now, so didn't let too much on. Though, didn't hesitate to say Ballotelli should be the first out of the door. The 2 'best managers' and most he learned from was Houllier and Rafa. Had a lot of respect for Roy Evans.
  4. It's what he does best. You're right, it was cowardly, and the team is also in his own image.
  5. The Dubai Reds meet up in the Ramee Rose Hotel Sports bar, in Tecom on match days, if you're interested ROTOQ.
  6. The Hobbit - Battle of Five Armies. The weakest in the series. Feels like a filler and fairly rushed with even the VFX looking tired and shonky at times. 7.5 / 10
  7. Interstellar - a masterpiece of film making. Incredible and quite possibly Nolan's finest work. Kubrick-esque in places and a few nods to 2001: A Space Odyssey. McConaughey is superb. 9.5/10
  8. John Wick - Superb entertainment. Reeves demonstrating some serious cold killing skills, as he goes genocidal against the Russian Mob. The body count stacks up to serious levels and you can end up feeling sorry for the Russians for being so ineffective against the one man onslaught. The danger is the concept and violence can become quite cartoonish, but it never does. The cut - you never mess with a mans dog. 8.5 headshots / 10
  9. The Israeli Government continues to increase my enmity of them, by making me agree with Piers Morgan.
  10. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/07/16/netanyahu-in-2001-america_n_649427.html A newly released video of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could add some additional strain to the sometimes tense relationship between him and President Obama. In the video, which is from 2001, Netanyahu -- who reportedly did not know his speech was being recorded -- speaks frankly in Hebrew about relations with the Clinton White House and the peace process. As noted in Haaretz, Netanyahu seems to boast of his knowledge of the US by saying, "I know what America is. America is a thing you can move very easily, move it in the right direction. They won't get in their way." He also boasts of manipulating the U.S. in the ongoing peace process, as the Washington Post points out: The video was broadcast on a TV program called "This Week With Miki Rosenthal" titled "The Real (And Deceitful) Face of Benjamin Netanyahu." In Israel's Haaretz newspaper, columnist Gideon Levy said of the video:"They asked me before the election if I'd honor [the Oslo accords]," he said. "I said I would, but ... I'm going to interpret the accords in such a way that would allow me to put an end to this galloping forward to the '67 borders. How did we do it? Nobody said what defined military zones were. Defined military zones are security zones; as far as I'm concerned, the entire Jordan Valley is a defined military zone. Go argue." These remarks are profoundly depressing. They bear out all of our fears and suspicions: that the government of Israel is led by a man who doesn't believe the Palestinians and doesn't believe in the chance of an agreement with them, who thinks that Washington is in his pocket and that he can pull the wool over its eyes. There's no point in talking about Netanyahu's impossible rightist coalition as an obstacle to progress. From now on, just say that Netanyahu doesn't want it.

  12. So since the onslaught by Israeli forces in just over a week, we've had: - 1250+ houses and buildings bombed and destroyed by the Israeli forces. - 1400 Palestinian civilians injured - 200+ Palestinians killed. -- of which 80% have been civilians -- and over 20% have been Children - Hospitals and schools bombed Watching the CNN coverage on Thursday their reporter in Tel Aviv unashamedly decided to inform the viewers "The death toll in Israel continues to rise". Last count 1 Israeli has died during this period, as far as I'm aware. The editorilised agenda ridden coverage has been shockingly disgraceful and dangerous from the major media outlets, including the BBC and Sky News. Sad days indeed.
  13. With the dearth of top level striking talent, might be worth looking at upcoming talent to fill the gap left by Luis. Some decent talent we can look to invest our money in. Any of the following might be wirth looking at: Marco Verratti Carlos Luque Viktor Fischer Robert Firmino Juan Manuel Inturbe Heung Min Son Domenico Bera
  14. Not sure if posted or where to place but highlights of Tiago IIori against Barcelona yesterday.
  15. Emotions still running high after that. What a match. All the more poignant after a wonderful tribute from all. Big respect to the City fans, observed the silence impeccably and the banner was very touching - class fans, team and manager.
  16. Bang on the money, Dicko. Couldn't agree more.
  17. Something has clearly changed since last year, whether its in training, coaching or tactics. Not just perfomances and shape on/off the ball but our passing has been consistently poor this season. All this despite decent pre-season, planning and transfers.
