Anyone know of a decent pub to go to before the game, or somewhere to park for that matter? Not been to the Etihad before.......

I've got a very vague long term business concept in mind and while I'm trying to think this through properly I thought I'd secure some domain names before someone else comes up with the same idea and the same name! Problem is, having never done such a thing before, I don't want to get ripped off and I do want to be sure that I have actually secured the ownership. I'm presuming there are a fair few forumites on here who have successfully started their own small businesses and done this themselves. Any advice and safe sites that can be recommended will therefore be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Sense at last in the sale arrangements for the away leg. 2 or more of any of the previous legs this season and you're in. If we do get through I just hope away loyalty also gets priority for the final and then see what's left for those going to the home leg.

As a Member but not a STH I first started building up my loyalty through the cup matches. It was only with PTS before that I could get premiership matches so it was nice to have an even chance of a cup game, whilst the STH all got a chance a day ahead of me, which seemed right enough. I remember being made up to get my ticket for the final at Cardiff for the league cup automatically following Watford on a cold winter mid week night, whilst my mates who couldn't be arsed were scratching round for a cup final ticket. Now I've been to every away leg in this cup campaign and enjoyed seeing some new grounds like Brighton, but if I hadn't been able to get any premiership games this year (which is a distinct possibility with the new system) I would have been stuffed for the semi final. How can that be fair? Fortunately I've got my share of premiership games as well now, but I bet there a lot who are still trying to build up their loyalty in the premiership stakes. I only hope that their system is sophisticated enough that they've been able to calculate that this method captures all the cup goers as well without the need for two waves of selling - or am I being overly generous?

Earls Court Road. Come out the tube station and turn left. There's a pub down there on a corner on the right hand side. Can't remember its name but I've been in there a few times before games down there and there are usually loads of reds in and no trouble. The pubs nearer the tube exit tend to be Chelsea pubs. You can get back on the tube for the last two stops to Fulham Broadway then in time for kick off.

A bit disappointed that they played so many 'kids' in Europe this week - I was hoping they'd tire them themselves out. But they did look sluggish last year after European games, so maybe just the travel for those that did go will have an effect. Come out of the blocks fast, I say, hit them with pace and take the opportunities (this time). Bellamy and Downing on the wings from the start. Duracell bunnies, Suarez and Kuyt in the middle. Carroll coming on a bit later once they're getting knackered. Adam and Lucas to break it up in the middle. Leave Henderson on the bench this week, and if it all goes well bring Gerrard on at the end to start building his match fitness. That's my plan Kenny, if you're doing any last minute swotting up on the TLW site!

Thanks for the blurb RJ. Unfortunately for you my mate has wangled a meeting in London on Thursday so he'll be using his ticket afterall. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you though. As someone that's been exiled in the Midlands for 20 years, I know how nice it is to go to an 'away game' on your doorstep for a change.

Ta RJ - the blurb would be good - not sure what time I'll get there yet, but it'll be by train from London. If my mate pulls out for any reason (he's trying to wangle a reason for being in London overnight) I'll give you a shout, but I'll definately be using my ticket.

667 pages of speculation and rumour control...only now on the 1st September can you really assess how the summer transfer window has gone, and I can't be arsed to wade through the previous 666 pages. I'm just over the moon with the business that's been done at the end of it all. I can't remember a summer like it. 7 out. 7 better ones in (although I think Chelsea have done well to get Miereles - that could finally get Torres working for them). I couldn't pick the best first 11 now - nice problem to have though Kenny. Well done lad!

Just been on the Offal to see if the loan of Spearing to Wolves had been confirmed as a Wolves fan at work told me it had. Instead I find an article about him competing for his first team place. Nothing on here either. Just the usual rumour mill or something about to break? I hope not - I thought he did a fantastic job last season with Gerrard injured and he deserves his place in the squad. A loan to Wolves would get him plenty of first team premiership experience, but I want to see lads like him coming through in our own team not on loan.

These arrangements have been a shambles for the supporters but excxellent for the club. They now have every game sold out until Christmas and the money in the bank earning interest. Whereas we're hundreds of pounds out of pocket racking up our credit cards and paying interest for the pleasure. I wonder how many tickets have been bought on LFC credit cards too? I haven't been able to get a single ticket in a decent seat, whereas last season I had my choice every game. I hope they come up with something better for the second half of the season.

One lucky forumite has a signed shirt as a collector's item now, and the Beacon Centre for the Blind has a generous donation to add to its coffers. Thanks to all those who took part in the bidding.

Right, I've finally got some photos through - not brilliant, but they do a job. Problem is I'm shit at posting photos - 'insert url' ? What url? Its the red home shirt anyway and there is a certificate of authentification. Suffice to say all the first team are there and the manager. Its not framed though I'm afraid. I will PM all those that have Pm'd me so far for their email addresses and send the photos through by email. If anyone else wants to see them then please PM me with your email address and I'll do the same. I will get the shirt myself next week so I'll take the highest bid (as long as the reserve price is reached) that has come in by1800 hrs on Sunday and arrange delivery for you as soon as I can after that.
