  1. Great to see the pictures of Rodgers smiling and laughing after Marios miss on open goal. He looks so confident and relaxed.
  2. Distin has been amazingly shit in this match
  3. Got the best draw of the english teams, expect us to progress. The commercial department will be happy with the Real-matches. The trip to Bulgaria is a bit hassle, but the others are very comfortable.
  4. Must say I'm surprised at how terrible they are. Never thought van Gaal would be the saviour they thought, but at least expected him to give them a bit confidence. But they look even more unsettled than with Moyes. If that continues the arrival of de Maria will be as insignificant as when they bought Mata in the winter.
  5. Well, difference today was between an established side and a side still finding their feet. We were good in patches, but lacked the necessary skills and determination in the final third. They are extremely clinical and punished us hard. Best to forget this as soon as possible, I expect us to be much better when they come to Anfield later. Moreno looked good, bar the mistake. Markovic was exciting when he came on, but faded quickly I thought. Not sure Lovren will be the boss at the back as we wish, makes mistakes and was absolutely murdered by Aguero for the third. Wasn´t impressed by Chan either, but still early days.
  6. Poor Lukaku. His wife wanted to go shopping in Kirby, now he's playing for those bottlers.
  7. Poor Sanchez. Just cus his wife wants to go shopping in London, he's ended up with those bottlers.
  8. Fantastic news! 16m for a potentially world-class player! If it does´t turn out well, we won´t loose too much money and we will have plenty of laughs no matter what. Balotelli is totally crazy, dead-funny, and occasionally brilliant at the football. What´s not to like?
  9. Hate to admit, but the cockney cunts look good. Even though Burnley are shit, they look really strong.
  10. Pleased with the three points, even if we didn´t really deserve it. Typical opening game really, we looked disjointed and nervous. Difficult to understand why Lucas was given the nod, he was awful. Allen coming on improved us massively I thought, his energy and passing was good and he always shows for the pass. Hopefully he will start against City. Anyway, the points are most important. We got the season started with a win. Also, we won a game we lost last season, so we´ve already improved.
  11. Not a top half, but we´re the better team and deserves the lead. Haven´t got Coutinho going yet. Manquillo looks good, but unpolished. Biggest positive for me is Lovren, he looks boss. Just what we needed.
  12. Wish we would stop trying to sign fullbacks from Sevilla. Probably another president now, but this Moreno-story is deja vu of how we failed to sign Alves. Summer 2006 wasn´t it? We will now fail to sign Moreno, he will have a great season and then move to Barca and be one of the best fullbacks in the world. We will continue use all the same jokes about Ayre as we did about Perry. This proves that time is circular, not linear, and that all our lives are repetitions of the same narrative into eternity.
  13. Would love us to sign Balotelli, but not for the right reasons I suppose. He's totally crazy and dead funny to watch, I was gutted when he left City. Used to watch their games just to try to figure out what went on inside his brain, without success. I loved to have someone as crazy as Suarez in the team, with Balotelli we would turn it up a notch. We seem to always sign players with the 'right attitude'. They are all so professional and healthy and that, but also really boring. With Balotelli you never know what will happen. He can out of nothing bury the ball in the top corner, but can probably also suddenly stab someone with a hidden spring-knife. What's not to like?
  14. Aspas, Alberto and Sissoko were probably efforts to do the same thing, but it didn't turn out the same way. That's the problem with trying to find the 'unpolished gem', a lot of times it's just dirt. By paying more and going for players already in the PL the risk is much lower.
  15. It's of course sad to see our best player leaving, but can't bring myself to be angry about it. I can understand why he wants to go there, familiy is important to everyone. And Luis always gave everything playing for the club and have contributed massively to us being back among the best clubs. The worst thing about it is that we now face yet another "transitional season". If he had stayed I think we would have won the league next year. Whoever we bring in, I don't expect that now. Losing a player of such calibre, arguably one of the best in the world, will hurt no matter what.
  16. So, it´s pretty obvious what´s happening to Yaya isn´t it? He´s desperate to join his brother and play for the fantastic club that is Liverpool FC! A shame that his agent made up to that nonsense about the birthday and that, but eventually a player always gets his wish. Save Yaya! http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/yaya-toure-twitter-u-turn-backs-3575458?
  17. Seems the mancs are doing what FSG were originally planning to do. Get van Gaal in for a few years while you groom a young manager. Obviously Rodgers wasn´t having that, as he was well qualified for the job already. Giggs on the other hand knows nothing about being a manager so he´ll happily oblige. Sensible plan sort of, but wonder if it´s going to work out. Van Gaal seems like he´s got a massive ego, don´t think he will share the power. Wouldn´t be surprised if Giggs are as marginalized under van Gaal come Christmas, as he was under Moyes.
  18. I know exactly when it all went to hell. At my workplace, the friday before the Chelsea-game. The people in charge of this years annual "summer party" were doing some kind of ´promo´ for the party. The theme of the party was going to be "into the blue" so they had decorated the canteen with blue balloons and performed a self-composed song based on the melody form "Blue moon"! I am still furious, they jinxed the league there and then. I´m quitting this month.
  19. Well on board with this thread. Would be out of my head if we won it on Sunday, but I´m happy either way. Been a fantastic season. Really annoyed with all the knobheads (like ugly Neville) saying that we´ve wasted our only shot at the title and it will be much more difficult next year. How it´s easier to go from 7th to first, than second to first is beyond me. Of course the others will strengthen, but so will we. And our squad has much more room for improvement than City or Chelsea. We have a young squad that have gained a lot of experience this year. I think we will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come. Anyway, on Sunday I will be stuck at my father in law´s 70th birthday, unable to watch any football. Only accepted that since it´s the typical circumstance of something special and dramatic happening, I´ll probably end up divorced if we win it. That´s right, I´m taking one for the team...
  20. Brilliant goal that. I want him back next season, mainly cause I think his goal celebration is boss.
  21. Not getting my hopes up. No chance Villa are going to score here, expect a City-goal soon.
  22. When you look at that City-lineup it's a bit ridiculous that they didn't win the title in march already. And that's without Aguero even. They've sure spent a lot of dough.
  23. Glen Johnson should not be given a new contract. Brilliant some games, but at the end of the day is a massive idiot.
  24. Of course it´s been a massive bonus to be in a title-race at all this season. But we´ve sure managed to loose it in the most ridiculous way.
