  1. It didn't destroy the hospital. Look at the pics - do you see a destroyed hospital?
  2. Another photo from the Guardian - the surrounding buildings are not rubble. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/oct/18/al-ahli-arab-hospital-piecing-together-what-happened-as-israel-insists-militant-rocket-to-blame
  3. It didn't hit the hospital! It hit the car park. The hospital wasn't levelled. And Israel didn't produce the evidence. The video is from Al Jazeera and the photos are from journalists given access to the site. Seems to me that some people want to believe it was Israel.
  4. Missed this part. It didn't hit the hospital.
  5. Well I didn't because the strike hit the car park, which is where I assumed the vast majority of the casualities would be. But yeah sure, why not.
  6. From the BBC article: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-67144061
  7. So what do you think the video is? What do you think the photographs of the impact site are? You get presented with evidence and you ask for scrutiny, but you are happy to say Israel bombed the hospital based on tweets.
  8. Here's the video of the incident. The same scene was filmed by Al Jazeera in a live interview with a time stamp that matches the time the hospital was hit. You can see the rocket launch into the sky and then fail (or was intercepted) and then explode when it hit the ground. The video has been geolocated. Here's a photo of the impact site. Notably it is the car park, not the actual hospital which means if it was the IDF then they missed. Is that likely? You'll also notice the impact crater is tiny - consistent with a rocket warhead. If it was a JDAM used by the Israeli's then it would be huge and the surrounding walls would be rubble.
  9. An independent investigation would be great, but I wonder if it would ever happen. In the meantime, the two videos and the lack of damage points towards the Israeli's version of events being true in my mind. But you are right of course. Whilst I don't think this was an Israeli strike, the Israelis have targeted other civilian structures. The region needs a ceasefire, but I fear it's going to get a lot worse.
  10. The video has been geolocated. There is a second video of the same incident taken during a live Al Jazeera broadcast with a timestamp matching the strike on the hospital. Edit: And the Al Jazeera live broadcast - (go to 1.40)
  11. This is the video of the stream that is being used as evidence it was a Hamas rocket. It seems to be intercepted and then falls on the hospital. There are a few questions surrounding it however. The first is the feed timestamp which you cant see on the clip. It apparently doesn't correlate to the time the hospital was hit. The second is whether or not the warhead could cause such an explosion. If it had hit munitions at the hospital then you would expect to see secondary explosions. And the third is whether or not the hospital was hit by a bomb at the same moment and there was no actual explosion from the intercepted rocket. Seems a bit coincidental, but who knows.
  12. Looks like Hezbollah are going to attack now. All orchestrated by Iran (the foreign minister met with the Hamas leadership last week). That'll be why the US is moving a second carrier group to the eastern med.
  13. Ukraine is inching further south. The Russians tried a counter attack and got their arses handed to them. But Ukraine is running out of time. The weather will force them to stop soon.
  14. He's right though. Someone has obviously just stuck it on their back and then taken a photo of it.
  15. Conspiracy theories aside, Israel certainly wants to blunt Hamas' current military capability. It will never be able to eliminate it. Hamas will never be able to negotiate a solution now, if in fact they were ever interested in doing so. If there is going to be a solution in this region then Hamas needs to be removed - they will always undermine peace talks with terrorism. But how on earth do you get rid of them? And how do you stop the flow of money and weapons from Iran?
  16. Zelensky in supporting a country that he needs weapons from shocka.
  17. It feels like someone higher up in the command chain didn't care about the consequences - they just wanted to see an attack on Israel. Can't help but think the order came from Iran.
  18. Stalingrad style street fighting and huge numbers of casualties. It will be desperately grim. I do wonder just how much Israeli intelligence failed - feels like a Pearl Harbour conspiracy theory in the making.
  19. It was predictable. You have to be very brave to defend Hamas here. This attack was only ever going to end with thousands upon thousands of Palestinian deaths and mass support for Israel. And it remains to be seen how the Israelis will respond to Iran.
  20. Steve Mcmanaman. Loved him when he played for us, but now he just gets on my moobs.
  21. I didn't rewrite anything. Nazis got 33% of the vote in November 1932 which wasn't enough to rule by so they held another election, burned down the Reichstag, pinned the blame on the commies, and got 44% off the back of it. After that he passed the enabling law and banned opposition parties. So my point that over half the country didn't vote for Adolf stands. I admit though I missed the tongue in cheek nature of your post. Anyway, back to the Tories.
  22. Around 35%, which means 65% didn't, in an era when everyone was scared shitless of communism and hyper inflation was killing the economy. Nobody knew anything about nazism in the 30's becaue they didnt have anything to compare it to. Hitler then burned down the reichstag to make sure they couldn't vote. I have no problem with Dresden being bombed because it was a legitimate target (another argument perhaps), but your comment about it being justified because Germans voted for it is fucking stupid.
  23. Yeah I don't really understand what Hamas hope to gain other than a good kicking. Won't end well for the Palestinians at all.
  24. Citizens Advice are pretty good with things like this. Make an appointment.
