Echoed. I think 99% of us have had our doubts, some more than others, some more vociferously than others, but when just looking at ourselves and trying to ignore the Mancs' season (difficult as it is) it's hard to say we havn't had a bloody good one, at least in the league. The last 2 months or so in particular have been some of the most enjoyable and exhilarating i've had as a Liverpool supporter. We've played fantastic football and, Chelsea at home aside, have dicked everyone in our path (including Arsenal despite the result). In my opinion the four best teams in Europe are ourselves, Barca, the Mancs and Chelsea. There is little to choose between us all. The pity is that this season, for all it's positives, will end in pain and misery (how much depends on the CL Final, but even a Barca win wouldn't take away the hurt of seeing them reach 18 ). We've lost our title because of a few sloppy results, some unfortunate, others our own doing. However, hard as it is, we've got to look forward. This summer is vital. We made massive mistakes last summer and paid for them in the early part of this season. If we'd got it right we'd probably have won the league, but there's not point in looking back, we've just got to make sure we get it right this time around. Right now, I believe we're the equal and indeed, slightly better than anyone else including United. Over 38 games they'll have pipped us, but over the past couple of months weve been much better than them. Take that form into next season and add the correct players and were there. I just hope it doesn't go all 2006 or late 2008. I don't think it will, amongst the heart ache of tonight, deep down I believe much more in this side and Rafa than i did a few months ago. I think we'll do it, and I've never truly felt like that before, i mean fuck, i've never even seen us still in it at this point. We're a fucking ecellent team and we can, must and will improve.

Gutted. Just gutted. It's the hope that kills you. The only thing that makes me optimistic is the fact that now I think we're a better side than them. If we carry on in this form next season and add the right players we'll have another tilt at the title. This summer is massive. How i'd love it if Ronaldo and Tevez left them.
