  1. Oh get you and your ability to use Google Translate. I am impressed. I think something like 'Futete' is probably closer to what you wanted to say. Anyhow, still so happy that Klopp is our man and I am looking forward to Saturday against Spurs. Not been this enthusiastic about a match for some considerable time, sadly. Come on Redmen!
  2. Mental note to self: When I next ignore Stig and come out of lurking, use more Latin. I don't know, you try to raise the linguistic bar for some in this place and they don't appreciate it...
  3. I see this thread has brought a few lurkers out so here is another one, who is still grinning about landing Jürgen Klopp. I am back to looking forward to the match rather than dreading it. And he is as cool as. He even says cool. Ergo, he's cool. *Back to lurkage*
  4. Breaking out of lurkage to contribute to this brilliant thread. In no particular order: Iago (Othello - I love a villain) The Wife of Bath (Chaucer's prologue to The Canterbury Tales) Tess D'Urberville (Tess of the D'Urbervilles - Thomas Hardy) Heathcliff (Wuthering Heights - yes I know, predictable but such a compelling and interesting character) Randle P McMurphy - (One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest) Brilliantly drawn character. Many others I could have chosen from. Ask me tomorrow and you will find that I have changed my mind. Wonderful thread.
  5. The Mission - already mentioned, I know. Also 'Paris, Texas', '1492, Conquest of Paradise' and because I can, 'Good Morning Vietnam' and 'Wayne's World'.
  6. I'm with Champ all the way. Despite having two children, my 'coochie coo' reaction does not work properly and the whole thing makes me feel rather awkward. Weddings? Nah. But cake. My God, cake is amazing. As Trumo says, not just a girl thing. When a cake arrives at our place, the men are the first in, usually with the "I wish my missus would bake", etc. Cake is cool.
  7. I just hope Kenny doesn't leave making changes until too late. There are players on the bench that can make a difference here. We're dire at the mo, but the bitters are no world beaters. Come on Redmen!
  8. Me too. I have had two children since our last cup final and lack of control has been accepted as a fact of life. Come on Redmen. I hope this female observation on the preparations for a cup final hasn't been too off colour or you, lads!!
  9. Bloody dreadful performance. I hate losing, but Jesus losing to them makes me sick. Apart from the last few minutes we effectively rolled over and I never want to see that from a Liverpool team. As for Evra, well... not unexpected. The only thing that gives me a small glimmer of a smile is the fact that the iPad corrects 'Evra' to 'Eva', probably on account of him being a big f*ckin' girl, (with apologies to girls everywhere, of which I am one...)
  10. I see you've cooked your steak so I am late with this, but I did this with ribeye and it was delicious! Lola and Finn's mum: Carnivorous? Steak with parsley and garlic.
  11. Ah yes, I see what you did there. Unfortunately, someone flung a shoe at her (well, I say 'at', more 'towards'; the aim was pretty piss poor to be honest) and she responded in Glasgow brogue of which I could only make out 'motherfucker', 'fucker' and 'fuckin' prick'. If I closed my eyes it would have been like being at a Billy Connolly bash rather than a Texas gig. The aforementioned Mr Waters returned the shoe in the general direction from whence it came some time later. What a nice man. And even nicer is the fact that I may have now reached 20 posts which is not bad for 6 years' work. Let the joy be unconfined.
  12. Forgive me, not quite all. There was the shoe incident. Texas post 1997 are a sort of guilty pleasure I am afraid out of some weird sense of loyalty, however, if you haven't done so, Texas 1989 - 1994 are wonderful - pre pop tart, edgy, raw, wonderful - I recommend Mothers Heaven and Ricks Road. Hope this helps.
  13. Ha ha, no. I'm not from Nantwich, nor am I called Nige or whatever he/she/it was called and I am not weirdly schizophrenic when sat with a laptop. I'm pretty sure I pre-date 'her' on this site by several years anyway. I'm merely an ex match going Red, who just so happens to be a woman. Nothing more; nothing less. Sorry to disappoint!! The thread resonated with me and I felt compelled to abandon lurkage. I've spent some time lately thinking about the fantastic times I had when going to the match. Plus some of youse on here talk utter drivel and I felt I would fit in just fine.
  14. I'm afraid not, no. I'm one of those annoying women who enjoys her football.
  15. Ta! Jesus Christ, I'll be at 20 posts before the end of the year if I'm not careful! Way too scary!
