how much do u lot reckon we will have to spend this summer - reading on that link above someone reckons we'll have a bit more than people think due to offloading a few reducing the wage bill heavily. this is good point - if we get rid of Igor (now linked to Wigan of all places) that would reduce wage bill massively - my uncle keeps telling me (repeatedly - think he keeps forgetting he's told me) he has heard "on good authority" that Igor was one of if not the (soz I mean teh) highest paid players at the club. which could be true thinking about some of the other clubs trying to sign him at the time. get him off the wage bill and ker-ching (that till noise).

I can understand that. I used to not mind him at first and found him quite funny cos the youth seemed quite simple, but now the arrogance has come in hes turned into quite a bit of a tw@t- wonder if he is playing on this simpleton image in fact no he wouldn't be able to think of doing that. its all natural to him.

and he doesn't even turn up at court either init?!! at least he remembered to send a letter about it though admitting it init - and he actually remembered it was him speeding which is an improvement init.

yeah I heard something about him being unsettled in England and also wanting a new challenge elsewhere - if we could I think he would be an ace signing and would work really well in Rafa's 4-2-3-1 line ups but I would be surprised if we got him. have a feeling though, like u said, the signing on fee and wage demands would be freaking loads though!

I cannot agree with any of this (apart from some of it). I reckon they gave their all in that game cos they want to finish as far ahead of us as possible (thats the impression I get from Gollum in his endless interviews at the moment). he thinks they are better than they are and went crashing down to earth last night like when he lost the ring in the first LOTR. I agree with your breaking teams down point though - we have the talent to rip apart some teams especially when we play that high tempo pressing game but we only seem to do that occasionally and when we dont - you know what happens.

I'd be pretty pleased with signing him - plus he has had a season in the prem already.to be fair I think thats what Liverpool is all about really - we cant really and have never really gone for endless big-name huge-money signings unlike some other clubs i shall not mention, and we dont have the financial power to do that anyway. we have to and always seemed to have gone for relatively unknown/smaller club players (with a few exceptions) but with great potential and who WANT to play for LFC, and make them into great players. much more satisfying if these signings do turn out to be great players and legends for the club!

good point - I think right midfield is more of a problem - just not sure how many fans still want Kewell and have faith in him?? and wonder if Rafa wants to keep or has had enough and thinks his double chin is too big now?

Big post there! Time for Dudek to go - I like the lad but we need someone who the defence can have confidence in - looks like we're getting this Spanish fella anyway. Carra to be captain. Hyypia - keep 1 more season but get another centre back. keep traore but hopefullly warnock will make even more of a first team impact next season and make left back spot his own. Keep Didi but used sparingly as he is getting on a bit now and needs his rest. a winger like Vicente or that Joaquin, plus I'd like us to get Schweinsteiger from Bayern - great player I think - not sure how much he'd be? Baros is gone in summer I reckon but will he go for new striker or someone who can implement his 1 behind an out and out striker. ballack?

No doubt the chavs will step up their interest in Joaquin now they know we're potentially interested, bump up the price so noone else can freakin have him - selfish yet again. hopefully the chance to play for Rafa and super Xabi will be too much for him to turn down that fantastic opportunity. do people know if we're still being linked with Vicente as well? heard quite a few rumours about it last month but then nothing since. What happened with him and chelsea trying to get him??

I have to agree with these ramblings! Kirkland I have pretty much given up on, the lad needs a load of milk and by the time he nears full fitness and confidence he'll end up injured again. Carson is the future - probs too soon to be no.1 next season however. Dudek's confidence seems shattered and am sure our defence aren't 100% confident in him so should move on, leaving the way for this new Spanish youth. if he can do the basics consistently well, forget random spectacular saves, then I'll be happy, and so will Carradona.
