I am also looking to get a new digi camera and that is on my shortlist. my last digi camera was a fuji which lasted just over 5 years. plus 10x optical is a bonus as a sony one I was looking at only has 3x optical and it cost more too.

After 6 years service my digital camera has finally given up and died. Can anyone advise me on any decent cameras out there, or even which make I should look at - I am thinking of spending around £150. Ta.

this is an emotional topic for me. I have just moved house recently because of my old neighbours. The person in question was an Irish, IRA-supporting alcoholic wife beating football hooligan. there was only so many times I could be woken up by his irish music blasting out of the stereo all night with him trying to shout along to it. constantly heard him beating up his wife and got arrested numerous times over it. he even put through his bay window once in a rage. and another time his wife tried to lock him out and he ended up going round the back, and smashed his fence down to get into the back garden then smashed the patio doors open to get in. Nice fella.
