  1. Imagine if a player comes to Anfield to discuss terms and then this walks in the door. Maybe it might put them off. http://www.digitalrailroad.net/propaganda/Frameset.aspx?bwid=332&cdsid=e15ed5b8-2968-43f9-b189-b2ca2c998891&rcp=91
  2. Luvvie : "...remember, the Kroldrup story is just between me and you. Good luck in Dubai"
  3. Staggering, it really is. I saw Dave standing in the middle of the road after the game trying to sell the fanzine. 1) It's funny really when on Saturday I was approached half a dozen times by people trying to get me to apply for the LFC credit card. I don't care where they stand, they are more of a pain in the arse than any street trader. Plus they are deceitful as their first comment when they approach you is "Today we are giving away free membership to the supporters club..." No mention of the card. 2) I bet they will still rely upon the RAOTL team to help with mossaics in the future.

    Motson...

Motson: "Liverpool won the cup in 2001. That was the first to be played in Cardiff, and the last" Then silence for 5 or 6 seconds while he thought about what he had just said, and then "......was last year". He's completely lost it. He puts in these little laughs all the time, for no reason whatsoever, and just seems to be becoming a caricature of himself, like a Spitting Image puppet.
  5. Steve Claridge. And every TV station uses him, and also radio 5. Why? He is a total arse. And don't get me started on Cliff Richard.
  6. Maybe not that relevant, but in 1986 I bought a Dual turntable for my separates system, it's still going strong.
  7. Confession time. I used to be a regular on Koptalk, years ago when the internet was still a new thing to me. Koptalk was genuinely a cracking site, and with very little competition. Then Dunk started an early version of the Insider I suppose. Send a tenner and get exclusive news via e-mails. A one off payment for life. The service didn't last much longer than 2 or 3 months after I subscribed. Next, his computer burst into flames, so along with other regulars, pledges of financial assistance were made, and money duly sent, £20 in my case. Later there was another forum which I believe I paid more for, but again it didn't last that long. It all seems lost in a haze of ripped offness. All these instances occurred prior to the dotcom implosion. So advertising revenues were still quite high, but I'm sure the reasons for charges were genuine. But 2 services I paid for were terminated without explanation or refund, I would never give him another penny even if his Newcastle season tickets depended upon it. His current "success" is built upon mugs like me donating money to keep him online with a new computer. So I confess dear TLW forumites, it's all my fault. Please forgive me.
  8. Think it's time for a visit to the themes section on tv cream. Crown Court. The slow tune which was played at the end or when a guilty verdict was returned I think, not the pompous starting music. God, I'm old.
  9. Sorry, I understand that bit. But the comment about the £30m cost because of having a stronger squad is the bit I don't understand. I don't see how he thinks the cost is more just because the squad is stronger. If it were a case of higher wages, then they would be paid regardless of qualification anyway.
  10. Came out with a load of nonsense on Sky earlier. Utd going out means the loss of £3m to £8m of income, but as Liverpool showed the competition can be won with a comparitively weaker squad, the actual losses will be £30m. Don't ask me what that means.
  11. Some Portugese journalist on Radio 5 earlier reckoned that Simao has played his last game for Benfica. By time he recovers from the injury he'll be off.

    Jim Beglin

I loved Beglin's moaning about the offside decisions. I admit one was dodgy, but the other wasn't even given as offside. It was commented on how late the decision was, and there was even a close up of the linesman clearly showing him awarding a goal kick, hence the "late offside" decision. It's great the way some of these pundits throw the rule book out of the window just to have a go.
  13. According to the programme, he was from that well known Danish town of Huyton. Unless he's already bought a house here.
  14. Did Maureen not say before they played at Old Toilet that if he lost 3 on the trot he would expect the sack ? So when you also consider the Betis defeat, Is he now only 1 game away from the bullet? Would be nice.
  15. I think it's morally wrong that this has been announced on the eve of a big game.
