  1. If you want to disagree, you're welcome to that, but it would be helpful if you put forth an opposing view rather than vapid insults. I believe he will be sold to Arsenal if it's the only offer on the table. It's happened before with Torres, he was unhappy, we got a transfer sum that was a one time only deal, Chelsea or anybody else wouldn't have offered us anything near that later on, and we didn't want to be stuck with a brooding arsehole for the next few months. We would have rather sold Torres abroad but when you don't get offers, you're stuck. We are not in a financial position where we can turn down 45-50 million from Arsenal, we are talking about a guy who has previous for bad behaviour when trying to get out of a club. we don't want the hassle.
  2. Then the teams abroad who want him better get a move on, I'd sell him for 30 milion abroad if it was offered right now. That's how fucking desperate this situation is. The psychological boost it would give to the teams we're competing with for top 4 will be absolutely gigantic. The negative psychological impact it would have on our squad to sell him to Arsenal is almost incalculable. Just like the summer we signed Downing and Adam and I said we were fucked league wise (I got negged by some for that), turned out I was correct. This is similar to that. If we can somehow get a club abroad to take him and by some miracle we have a couple of quality replacements lined up who want to sign for us, then maybe, just maybe, we can dig our way out of this. If that doesn't happen, next season is another write off. No CL, no hope, no money, eventually no Coutinho, perennial mid table finishes. Thats the future, and we are potentially going to seal that fate within the next 3 weeks if we fuck this up.
  3. Come on Real, we have a temperamental, talented, South American available for a discounted price who doesn't look like a chimp. He'll do well for you, just bid, you corrupt fuckers, er, I mean lovely people.
  4. Does anybody seriously believe we are going to let him stew at Liverpool for the next few months? He is being sold this window, and if we are lucky it may be for a price that's within 10 million of our own valuation.
  5. If Arsenal ends up being the only offer, that's where he'll be going.
  6. To anybody thinking we're going to dig our heels in and reject offers to the point where he's still going to be here when the window closes then I'm afraid that's delusional. If 40 something million is the highest offer we've got and there's 30 minutes left before the window closes, we're taking it. Don't be thinking we're going to go all legal on everybodies arses either, we want the cash, and we're not going to risk not getting it this summer. Time to take it up the arse, Torres style.
  7. Brilliant for Nacional, brilliant for Groningen, brilliant for Ajax, brilliant for Liverpool, brilliant for Uruguay, not that great for Arsenal. Can't see it somehow.
  8. Oh good, another short-arse. We now have enough in the squad to be able to provide cast members for performances of Snow White at every major theatre in the country, on the same night.
  9. Evolution proves cats are better. The abilities of cats can be utilised in a much larger form of animal, such as the big cats. There's no 900 lb dogs. The dog species cant compete with the big cats. Cats are faster, stronger, meaner, they are just spectacular. "Lets go to the zoo to see the amazing vicious hunting machine 900lb dogs." Oh wait, there aren't any, there's just the domesticated ones which are shit and not worth looking at and don't do anything that make you marvel at their abilities like the big cats. "Let's go on safari to watch the big dogs in the wild hunting down larger animals". Wait, that doesn't happen, can't do it. Domestic cats are like the fun sized versions of lions and tigers. They do similar things on a smaller scale, and you can play with them, so it's win win.
  10. Domestic dogs are shit in general, except for the rare cute one. Dogs that herd sheep or bite criminals or find people in rubble do a decent job. Go and compare grumpy dog, cigarette dog, privacy dog, begging dog, roomba dog and similar themed stuff, with the cat versions, and the cats are so much better at them. They look much more cute and are way more entertaining. Dogs are smelly drooly twats like their owners.
  11. Brazil have shown you can have big physical players in your defensive areas, sprinkle in a midget or two with players such as Oscar, and outplay teams like Spain. That is the type of team I want to see. If you want a team in the future that can pass Arsenal off the pitch, then that's great, I'd love that, in part, but I wouldn't want that same team, if it's too small physically, to then be outfought and put off its game by Stoke the next match and lose 1-0 to a header from a free kick. As we should know, going to places like Stoke and winning is what wins titles. Brazil tore into Spain, they were tackling ferociously, winning all the headers, they completely put them off their game, but when they had the ball, they had skilled players there aswell to do damage. Luiz is big but can play, so can Paulinho, let's have the variety, it will help us. We need to have a team that can cope with different types of opposition. Barcelona have gone nuts with the midgets, and they came unstuck against a much more physically imposing side like Bayern, who also have pace and skill and great passers, we need a mix. All you need to do is look at our great teams of the past. They weren't one thing or the other. You want a team that can play great football? Great, we had that for you, but if you wanted a scrap and a battle, we had that too. They were much more balanced teams than the Midgethon Brendan's having.
  12. Was that before or after he punched the ball into his own net at the Olympics in one of the worst attempts at a save I've ever seen?
  13. Now we've got some comments from the CEO of Shaktar Sergei Palkin from soccer.ru, which in part look similar to things he said days ago with added nutty stuff. General Director of Donetsk "Shakhtar" Sergei Palkin commented on the rumors about the transition Henrik Mkhitaryan in "Liverpool" - "only to clarify the fact that yesterday he had not appeared in the collection "Miner", but had to do it. For whatever reason - we do not know. If Mkhitaryan in the near future on the team does not appear, it will be fined" - said Palkin. Just how likely that Henry will be in the "Liverpool" - "He does not have any contact with "Liverpool"! I am confident that reports of negotiations with the club Mkhitaryan - just rumors. In the "Miner" from the "Liverpool" proposal regarding Mkhitaryan not occur." about why a player behaves "even guessing no no. Ask about it at him. I know exactly what conflicts with partners and coaches at Henry was not about wanting to leave the "Miner" we have not heard from him. Therefore, all questions about his behavior - to the very Mkhitaryan."
  14. I can confirm it is true, he has not gone to Shaktar's training camp in Tyrol, Austria. On the 22nd Shaktar's official site stated: "The team has gathered almost completely. Today, Eduardo joined his team-mates. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the only one who’s now outside of the Pitmen’s training camp." Today, there is an article talking about their training session along with 30 photos, none of them include Mkhitaryan. Why is he not there, 2 days on from the second to last player arriving? Their season starts in 3 weeks.
  15. Mkhitaryan likes the fact that Shaktar are playing in the CL every year, but he has said himself that; "For every player to play for the strongest clubs in the world is a dream, and I will do everything possible to move this summer to a different team." That also addresses the other issues of ownership and agents, because he will make sure that is sorted out to get the move he wants.
  16. Wouldn't it be clearer if you said players who don't want to sign for Real Madrid, won't, and players who do, will?
  17. He's backup for a keeper that Chelsea would never sell to us.
  18. No country in this world is perfect, we still have lots to learn, we don't have a monopoly on being right or knowing what's right and neither does anybody else. We can't be stubborn, we must allow our ways to be challenged. What we can do is try to find more common ground and cooperate for the good of society, and in turn, our civilisation as a whole. We can't keep looking at entire massive groups of people and think they don't have anything to offer us regarding ideas, knowledge and culture. The more information you have, the better the decisions you can make, the more you listen, the more you build trust and understanding. Ultimately the vast majority of people want happiness and to lead a good life, but suspicion and seperation will only lead to conflict. We seem to have this habit of trying to keep intact an entire worldview when large parts of it are faltering and not entertaining the views of others that could help to fix them, because they're thought of as "outsiders" whose ideology or culture conflicts with what you are used to. The fear that exists is the fear of confronting our demons, our vices and our need to change. Our selfish pursuits will no longer comfort us as the psychological dams we erect to protect our egos will not contain the crushing flood waters of reality that are about to break through and wash us away.
  19. I agree, there's nothing that can be done about the GF, it is too great a force.
  20. I think the way to combat Islamophobia is to try and encourage people to understand and embrace some of the teachings of Islam. If people know more about something it can go some way to soften the prejudices you might have about it. There are problems in this country that can be helped, like abuse of alcohol and the oversexualisation of women, by an ideology that commands people to do good and forbids things that are evil or can lead to evil.
  21. You're right, definately has a similar style but in terms of talent, it isn't close. Apart from the "using your own eyes" test, Ronaldo won his second world player of the year award when he was 21, Muriel is 22.
  22. He has a buyout clause which stays at 10 million euros due to them avoiding the drop. If we meet it, which we have if you believe the reports, then it is down to the player if he wants to go. They have no money so they're not going to get much better than they are now for a while so I would think he's looking to move on.
