  1. Agree. I don't want any players with a bad history of injuries. The likes of Neto and Lloyd Kelly are a waste of time.
  2. That's what most people would have said about signing Robertson from Hull, Mane from Southampton, Wijnaldum from Newcastle etc.
  3. Robinson has been excellent this season. I think he's the closest thing to a younger Robbo that I've seen. He's 27 in August though, so probably considered too old. Ait Nouri is more likely as he's about to turn 23.
  4. The concern is that when you buy these sort of players, they might not be ready for the top level. Is Summerville even that much of an upgrade on Fabio Carvalho for instance? At least Kudus and Olise have proven that they can handle the Premier League. Most of our best signings in the Klopp era had Premier League experience, or in the case of Luis Diaz had played really well against Man City in the Champions league. We currently have the following players that I would describe as young 'project' players Bradley,Quansah,Bajcetic Elliott,Gravenberch. Then we have Morton, Van den Berg and Carvalho coming back after good loan spells. Add the kids that featured earlier in the year too and we have a huge number of players with potential. We could easily do something like Robinson (Fulham LB) for £45 million Adarabioyo (Fulham CB) £Bosman free, Olise (Palace RW) £60 million release clause. We also need a CDM but I'm struggling to think of one.
  5. Quansah may have changed our thinking on that. It feels more like we only need a backup player to come in to rival VVD, Konate and Quansah. I keep forgetting about Sepp van den Berg too. He's had a really good season in Germany so could be another option.
  6. Yeah I get that, but when you look at the squad now we have abousultely loads of young players with potential. We need players that are ready to go, not more project players that might come good in a few years.
  7. Maybe we wanted to see how well Kudus did in the Premier league first? We did a similar thing with Sadio Mane and Gini Wijnaldum and Virgil Van Dijk. I'd be pretty happy with something like Kudus from West Ham and Antonee Robinson from Fulham. Add one of the centre backs that's available on a free too.
  8. We tried that with Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay. The problem with potential is that if you want to be successful you can't afford to be a testing ground for potential.
  9. Nadhim Zahawi has announced that he will stand down as a Conservative MP at the next election. Sixty four have now decided that they won't seek to be elected again.
  10. One thing he has managed to keep his word on.
  11. I sort of agree that we should look to cash in. Injuries have fucked us so much this year and injury prone players only ever tend to get even more injury prone over time. PSG would be a good move all round. They could manage his gametime a lot better too.
  12. Just watched Baby Reindeer. Wow! Maybe the darkest most twisted thing I've ever watched! Makes Black Mirror look like Pepper Pig! sent from my Iphoen
  13. Much like last season he's been incredibly inconsistent and regressed and lost his place in the team by the end of the season. I just don't think he'll ever become the player that people want him to become. If we get a decent offer in the summer we'd be mad not to take it.
