  1. But that shouldn't make a fucking difference to how we handled any of the players we have now. They should all be treated with the same process, data and intelligence as any player on the books. Not we can mark down half a dozen of them because Edwards never bought them. It's fucking embarrassing, especially for people who are supposed to be data driven.
  2. i am sure he does. but the club can say cool, you'll be a fringe player then. if he wants to deal with that, fair fucks to him, he has a contract.
  3. they can all fuck off with that "his signing, their signing" bullshit. it is a club signing. they're entitled to look coldly? you could say that about everyone in the squad then, because the FSG and edwards himself have been clear he works for FSG and hughes is the club man and he wasn't involved in signing any of them. it's a fucking shithouse trick trying to just drop some shit on klopp because edwards doesn't like klopp has bigger balls than him. let's see how big edwards balls will be when they're getting kicked pillar to post when we are midtable next year Jossy Blair blaming klopp for wearing the players out.
  4. for me the discussion isn't really about if salah is better than martinelli or some other chump. they neither have a team set up for them to succeed, fuck off to afcon every 2 years, damaging their own performance in the process or earn what salah does. out of that list code shared, it's only the badly out of form, over paid, freak at city who compare in their importance and cost to their side. we also have to face the reality of he is going to cost us at least £15-20m in wages next season. and then could leave for free. So if someone comes in with a good price, let's say £80m, his cost for 1 season could be £100m. Insane. He is clearly not on an upward trajectory. it doesn't matter if he is good sometimes, if he's going to cost us £100m for 1 year, well it's time to let go if there's big money available.
  5. That's just an opportunity to save money. And if Salah goes, we'll have to replace him, which won't be cheap.
  6. trent till his bosman to madrid will be one. and endo and macca will fill the other role.
  7. we'll see I guess. i am expecting it to be shit.
  8. But if you listen to the people who've been reporting on this, we like him pretty much because he's klopp light. I think there's every chance we won't see a great change.
  9. Yes, I agree, we are too slow at moving the ball. And I think it's mostly due to lack of cohesion thought-out the team. We don't really function as a team and it's just 11 lads running around. When you think back to the title winning team, the side operated in little groups of 3 all over the pitch. Trent, Henderson, salah. Robbo, mane, Gini. The front 3 as a group. Centre backs and fab. Fab with the 8s in front. Then you had robbo and Trent playing those big switches to each other to open the pitch to make it hard to defend despite teams preparing for it. You knew how we'd progress the ball and make goals. This side just doesn't do that or hasn't been able to find that understanding with all the injuries and changes throughout the season. I've said it before, under the circumstances it's been a miracle we've hung around at the top of the league for so long. And just to put the icing on the cake, I think we badly miss the width we used to play with.
  10. Yeah, I think you're right, he won't give it up and that should be the final straw for us. Different players of course, but it's mirroring the nonsense we had with Henderson. That fucking chump konate too, we're fucking nursing him playing once per week and he's playing midweek friendlies before weekend matches. I'd get rid of him too.
  11. I think there's a point here, but equally he gets us up the pitch, which we seem completely unable to do otherwise.
  12. We've had 2 title challenging season destroyed by Salah's form after returning from afcon. On both occasions he was flying going into it and then basically a passenger after returning. The problem with Salah, is he's so good, he gets picked regardless of form. But you can't just be on the pitch and not compete, which is what we've seen since his return from injury. If Salah is to stay, he needs to fuck off international football. He's too old to do it now.
  13. Anyone who thinks FSG are going to spend big is off their fucking trolley. We're scouring the market for a manager who's used to feeding on scraps, that's not so we can give him massive money. Like it or not, fsg will believe last summer was big.
  14. It was clear in the summer we didn't have anyone and it was fanciful to expect endo to do it. But none of us were expecting a title challenge and part of the end of season frustration is born out of challenging and then failing. For me last night was a bit different because this wasn't really about football, it was about hunger, they just wanted to get to the ball more than we did.
  15. Well that was shit. Sadly, the team has lost its intensity. Imagine getting bullied by Everton. And we just took it. Something has changed in this group, I imagine maybe because of klopp going, but it's been noticeable pretty much since we won the league cup. Whatever it is, that was shit tonight. I'm not worried about the terrible misses from all of the front 3. I'm bothered about the lack of fight from the opening minute and allowing Everton to bully us. And before a ball is kicked, you know all they want to do is win free kicks and lash them at the back post. We pretty much said "go 'head, we're not that arsed anyway". At this point I can only think this is some cunning plan from klopp to make us glad to see the back of him.
