  1. I think there was always going to be a lift in the numbers, as Stig says - that is too be expected. It is whether the link between numbers and deaths/hospital is broken through vaccination. I've just been through Town and to be honest, everyone is wearing a mask and everyone is still being careful. I think on the BBC they said that the majority of these new cases are in School kids! They are the ones who aren't wearing masks and aren't social distancing.
  2. I get what you are saying - but, you shouldn't really be at the point that you are enforcing public health. Unlike this time last year - people will rightly be thinking that they have sacrificed over a year and all willingly taken the vaccines (even in the young it is 80% compliance and it doesn't affect them), and yet the minute we open up we are back to talking about locking down. Without the public buying in - it won't be as effective. You'd have to enforce it. I still see comments from Sage and Fake Sage, but none of them are giving a date or time frame, or numbers? If opening up means that by the end of the year we have lost another 10 thousand to Covid, is that acceptable? As I say, if the vaccines prove ineffective then we have a very different conversation to what we have had this past year. This can't go on - we can't permanently lockdown indefinitely. But, lots of other opinions as well. Now isn't the time to close your ears - I want to open up now, but I am still not Toby Young. *none of this is suggesting you have said any of this, just how I view the current situation. I do think there are the Zero Covid scientists who are actively looking for negative data to push home their point.
  3. I realise these have been done before; I did the Godfather at the weekend - it is simply an amazing film, as near to perfect as you can get. I don't think Godfather II is better, the climax seems a bit forced - he could have took out Hyman Roth a lot earlier. And after those two I watched Goodfellas on the Sunday. I have to say - it was a bit of a chore - Jimmy is a cunt, and Tommy just isn't funny! They're all pissing themselves as he tells them a story that at best deserves a short laugh. I think the part where Henry starts to fall apart is done too quickly and focusses upon the drugs too much.
  4. I don't get the impression the will is there for that. It all depends of course, they should just push June 21 back to September - two weeks is next to useless. But, I am not sure another lockdown will be welcome.
  5. Fuck off James Pearce! I've always dreamed of Albanian full backs
  6. Get what right? 6 managers in 5 years - no trophies in 26 years. What do they get right exactly? They are Steve Buschemi looking in the mirror and seeing Brad Pitt staring back!
  7. That is it - my mates are not Liverpool fans, and love winding us up - but they quite enjoyed the celebrations around 2019, which obviously meant they attracted the ire of the blues. One is a Newcastle fan says 'they've made me hate them, and they are insignificant'. It really is a case of getting to know them. I grew up just off City Road, so obviously I fucking hate them. Had everything thrown at me down the years - the fact I shrug winds them up even more, they seem to want a reaction. Fucking warped weirdo's.
  8. Millers Crossing is an amazing film - personally I think it is on Fargo that is the better Cohen Brothers film.
  9. Everyone talks about 'cancel culture' nowadays - they've been doing it for decades!
  10. Elseid Hysaj has played in midfield - as a free, he'd be ideal. Cover for full back and then able to fill in at midfield if needed. I think we also have the option of bringing Firmino into midfield as well.
  11. They would be cunts. Everything would be about rubbing our faces in it - they'd turn into obnoxious cunts. And by that I mean, everyone will finally notice what we have been dealing with for decades. They'll be 'relevant' and suddenly everyone will realise what a shower of sociopathic gobshites they are. I have friends who support other teams - not from Liverpool, they all can't stand Everton fans - not scientific I know, but they've seen them up close.
  12. Jesus! This is why I don't want fans running the club.
  13. Loads of talk we are signing Daka, Hysaj, Tielemans as well. I suspect you skipped over that 'talk.
  14. I think the first quarter, maybe a third is just a game of hide and seek. But once it moves beyond that and the Zeta's a d Crazy Eddie come into play it gets really good.
  15. I love how Heysel is black and white - our fault and any attempt to argue context is treated with contempt. But apparently Hillsborough is nuanced and we have to accept our actions as well. In 1985 it wasn't the actions of another team. It was the collective actions of other teams.
  16. Oh I see. Yep that is true! But sadly we don't appoint them e.g Hodgson!
  17. Haha - don't worry they also day I am deluded!
  18. I don't think this is their fault. They report the facts the media and the rest decide how best to report those facts. Hysterical seems to be their choice.
  19. I wish I could! I'm led to believe I'm great!
  20. I wasn't being dismissive of the annoyance of this - but I'd say that is describing back to square one. Fact is the vaccines seem to holding up well - the transmission rate isn't too relevant if that remains the case. I realise you'll argue that 'could be' is the potential, but is seems that a few are being unnecessarily negative and jumping on any negativity. I didn't read the quote I was replying to as ambiguous; And PHE give us the kick in the knackers we knew was coming... That read very much like and either/or. All moot anyway - the proof of the pudding is in the eating. We'll find out soon enough.
  21. Not really. Still the majority of hospitalisation is non-vaccinated. So far no proof it is going to be back to square one, whereby the virus seeds in younger groups and spreads through the old.
  22. If you are expecting trophies you don't replace Rafa with a pensioner who has won nothing. He was appointed as a steady pair of hands. The fact that that was beyond him speaks volumes. The parasites didn't give a fuck about trophies - they wanted a big fat profit from selling us. Giving Joan Hickson the job meant they could sell and the new owners wouldn't be stuck with a manager they couldn't sack. He was the only manager I have never backed. From day one I wanted him gone, he wasn't a footballing appointment.
  23. Hodgson wasn't appointed for footballing reasons though. He wasn't expected to win trophies - he was expected to bring a steady hand whilst the club was sold. And it was Kenny who bought Adam. He tried in January and went back in the summer. Rafa was loved and he is a totally different person to Klopp.
  24. Yep, I don't understand the continued focus on the cases. They are predominantly in the younger groups and there is lots of evidence that the link between the virus and hospitalisation will break. Doesn't matter how many get the virus if we don't end up in hospital. If it ends up as 'no worse than flu' then there isn't an issue.
  25. I had the Aldi/Oxford one - and that hit me badly the early hours of the following morning! So, the next day. My mate was fine, but the second dose hit him hard - but I was fine with that! Not sure there is a 'pattern' as such.
