  1. BTW, I definitely meant that I've read every book ever written, I wasn't talking about the 'reading from different books' thing that I was directly responding to, meaning that I know the different perspectives, I'm really claiming I read ALL of the books. The Daily Mail headline writers will be on to that in a shot.
  2. Your lot are doing wonderful. Nothing to see here. It's all about the left. Fucking cockmunch.
  3. What if you defeat it democratically? How is that undemocratic? Nobody ever explained how more democracy is less democratic.
  4. To be fair, I've read all the books. I'm just saying, stop reading that one book over and over. It's pickling you, mate. Just my view.
  5. That's just not accurate though. I don't know what rabbit hole you've gone down, but I beg you not to keep going otherwise you're going to bump into Hades and Dennis Tooth on your travels. You get both sides saying stupid shit. You know, like centre left politicians that don't agree with Corbyn are right wing mentalists, that old-fashioned left-wingers are a mix of Stalin and Hitler. It's just a bunch of internet and media nonsense. What's really happening is the left - all the way from the centre - are taking chunks out of themselves, either for being too left wing or being right wing. It's fucking lunacy. That's not to say the others aren't trying to kick themselves in the own arse, but the centre aren't my enemy. The right-wing economic policies that are eroding our social wellbeing are the enemy. I'm not going to forget it just because I dislike an Ummuna here or a fucking Watson there. The right wing - literally, I can assure you - sit around laughing about this shit. If we ever got our act together and actually started aiming our firepower in the right direction instead of in our own house, we'd be unstoppable. The right would be pushed out. Unfortunately the right are, ironically, much better at working together to get what they want - or much of it - than those who preach unity rather than practice it.
  6. I heartily disagree. I'm no centrist, but painting them as the enemy - even the centre left, quite often - is just going to do way more harm than good. If anything right of left-wing is sneered at as the enemy, the left and far left are going to be out in the cold for a fucking long time.
  7. @moof Really? If we are doing that 'disagree about a position on politics' neg thing now, I owe you a few hundred mate. Kinell, you Strontium Dog in disguise or somethin'?
  8. Sounds spot on to me. At least in terms of priority. Not sure if it was launched by Corbyn or not. I guess that is yet to be seen.
  9. I'm not talking about Corbyn or McDonnell, who are both more accurately described as left-wing. I'm saying the left, as an entirety, can't get their act together and want their own version of perfection. Most of us aren't interested in good, they want great, even if it ends on shite. We pull ourselves apart over it and have been doing it for decades.
  10. Yeah, and it's not just them; the left in general seems much more interested in having their perfect vision of a left-wing utopia put forward - even at the cost of losing - than getting rid of a Tory nightmare and having something much closer. The right are just better - much better - at politics than the left.
  11. Disagree, mate. I know it seems like I'm doing it on purpose this morning, but honestly it's the right move. There are many more important things going on than having to worry about in-fighting. Whoever's bright idea it was to do it now deserves a kick up the arse, surely. Whether or not Watson is a good guy fighting for the moderate part of the party or a cunt is actually besides the point at the moment because other things are happening that are so important that unity is just about the most powerful weapon they could have.
  12. Normal? More seriously, I don’t have somebody who is a centrist being described as a centrist. I have an issue with it being a pejorative, as if being a centrist is some disgusting extreme position like neo-nazi, or hardline gulag loving Commies.
