There is really no need for spending THAT much of our budget on a single player. Shaw is good, but we need to strengthen more areas that left back alone. Wide attacker, central midfield are all areas we desperately need to improve as well. We need to spend the limited money we have effectively.

Some width on the left side. That means Sterling on for Allen, Coutinho drop into the midfield. Need Gerrard to be on though, really need his long ball to the wings if we are looking at a 4-3-3 in 2nd half. Have to take some chances with the yellow he is on.

He did sort out the organisation of the defence after coming in for Skrtel. That could also be because Lucas was playing DM instead of Gerrard, but defensively we did became better.

Did okay for this game, the penalty and own goal is more unlucky than being sucky, he was petty lucky to not get a second own goal though. I was petty afraid he would gotten sent off after that yellow, or at least affected his game play. Glad that didn't happen.
