Our whole squad is flawed with too many players with no.10 as their best position. Rodger's 4231 is not unexpected during the transfer season. Too bad it only stayed on paper.

Gerrard again, but again, who else can be there with both Allen and Can injured.

By no mean he is bad, but he is just not suitable for the way we play. Some are saying he needs a speedy striking partner but I would say 2 speedy striker would better than Mario plus another speedy striker.

Markovic was okay he has the pace, just need better decision making

Balotelli is just not quick enough for us, both his running and passing. Lallana did look pretty good though.

Not sure Coutinho or Suso come on for this, but one of them need to come on for Markovic

It seems like most people here are Europeans. You really don't get to play much football in Asia. Probably that's why Asian team just suck at world stage.

Suso definitely deserves a chance. I also believes Borini also deserves a chance. Maybe I am just too nice of a guy.

I did play as keeper for a couple years due to my beyond shit ball control skill. It is usually the worse position in unorganised football. (At my place it is very hard to get any organised football) Sometime your team is so much better than the other that the ball rarely even get close the penalty box. And you will be keeping a clean sheet while taking a nap. The other times will be your team is so much worse that every attack from the opponent results in a 1v1 situation.

I know he lacks the physical, but why are we selling our best ball playing centre back when our style is passing the ball from the back. Pretty interested to know the true reason why he leave though.

I thought his passing and controlling of the game is so much better than Gerrard, considering that neither could run much anyway. All this is assuming that Rodgers actually wants a deep lying midfielder to control the tempo of the game. It is not just for Gerrard to extend his career.

Surprise that we didn't went for Alonso considering he was available, not even a slighted rumor. He is the prefect deep lying midfield for us.

The big problem is we could be performing like this for another month or so until Allen and Can comes back. There is no player available for us to improve the midfield at the moment, unless you are willing to try on some youth player.

Somehow I feel like Spurs/United and us are competing who can drop the most points against shit teams. It seems like nobody wants the 4th spot.

I don't think it is fair to blame any of our central defenders. It is like playing in a pub team where everyone just bomb forward and leaving the 2 dudes at the half way line, with a break at any moment resulting in a 1v1 situation. Pants shitting moment for anyone.

I hope it will still be Balotelli and Borini up front though, we need to give them every possible minutes to get their form/understanding up. Also this could be the best we have at this moment. I think Rodgers will be trying his 4-3-3 again though

It is pretty harsh when 2 of our midfielders are out, Allen and Can. We have to call up some youth player if we are looking at a side without both Lucas and Gerrard.

All the best to Borini. He deserves this chance. Lucas on the other hand, oh well, make the best use of every min he could possibly get.

Perhaps none of us expected this during the transfer season. Balotelli and Borini should be starting up front.

I feel our both full backs is playing too far forward. Sometime I would say they are actually wingers who track back. Perhaps they should be further back and making runs into the attacking third when there is a need to stretch the play. Currently I feel they are already in the winger position when we are attacking. This makes us very stagnant in attack and also leave their out of position when possessions is loss in the central area.

Saw someone's post mentioning about Markovic should be on the left flank instead of right. I wonder what's up with Rodgers's change in tactic of inverted wingers. I believe Markovic is right footed. Are we looking to play more crosses in, or him being forced wide by the Villa defence.

How are we going to play the diamond with we have Sterling/Lallana/Coutinho/Markvoic all probably fighting for that 1 spot at the top of the diamond. Yet at the same time, we could be seeing Borini and Lambert as the two strikers. I believe 4-2-3-1 is not the way forward, Gerrard is forcing Henderson to seat back too much in the first half, yet still getting overrun. Even if we wants to play 1 striker, I feel that 4-3-3 with 3 central midfield would be much better.
