  1. I doubt anyone bought would walk into the XI, player of those quality in January would cost huge. And i don't think BR is given much to spend. Maybe some young player or hopefully another Coutinho type of player.
  2. Just the goal scoring part, they never hit the target. Everytime I see Henderson with the ball, I will be like "please don't shoot, just pass it", then he will proceed to blast it over. Sometimes Gerrard also, but he rarely takes a clear shot at the goal now, plenty of defenders like to get in his way.
  3. Tactic wise on the defending of set piece is perfectly fine, the problem only happens if the player got beat in the air or just got out-muscled. Player on the line really doesn't save goals unless it is flying towards them, but considering the surface area, the chances are petty low. Gerrard's delivery from free kick is top class, but just his corner doesn't seem that good compare to those freekicks.
  4. Great game to watch :) Was hoping for Suarez to get his match ball after playing so brilliantly for the game. Good decision BR to make his sub early and rest Gerrard and offer some game time to Enrique. Sadly Sturridge didn't get on the score sheet today, he was a bit off though.
  5. Hope Allen wand Agger will get some game time, especially Allen.
  6. Someone just got to get bashed if we lose any game LOL and some old habit just don't change you see. But to be honest, SAF's comment on Henderson really made me worried in some sense. After all SAF has more rights than wrongs in his words.
  7. Who the fuck am I. Then why care about what i post. BR being a young manager, he LEARNS from the games too. This game he is clearly out thought by Wenger in the tactical sense, this is the type of game that he needs to LEARN not to blindly play his own game. Come on, everybody is learning. Don't mind me please.
  8. This is why we should be patient with the players. Who knows when will Henderson or Allen's season come. Arsenal's waiting on Ramsey paid off, i hope ours on Henderson will also one day
  9. Starting Gerrard every game is perfectly fine for me, he always have some impress game here and there. The thing is, BR need to sub him when things are going bad. GROW SOME BALLS BR
  10. BR really needs to know how to set up his midfield against the opponent. The players we have are not all-rounders and each of them really only process one or two of the many attribute a world class midfielder should have. Gerrard has passing and vision, Henderson have energy and running, Lucas has the defending, Coutinho has creativity and tricks, Allen (last seaon) has passing and ball retention. I hope BR can learn how to play the game more tactically instead of just throwing whoever that impressed the game before.
  11. I wonder if BR has the balls to play a trio of Henderson/Allen/Coutinho. It is full of energy with Allen capable to playing DM and Henderson to support him. Coutinho being the furthest of them all. Not saying that this is good, but they are the "future" of the midfield with what we have at the moment. With Gerrard always seems to start, there has to be defensive cover and a runner built around him. However some time, his performance is just too disappointing for a midfield that is built to support his game play.
  12. Definitely not writing Allen off, but based on performance from the WBA game, no one really deserved to be dropped. Just like the CBs, all is playing so well and Agger got to sit on the bench. The current midfield is being asked to do too much with who is there. Only Henderson can press effectively with Lucas to certain extent, Gerrard is just too old for that. The wing back aren't even together in the midfield, especially Cissoko who is always sprinting at full speed from the halfway line when the ball is played into the left wing position. This just shows how deep he is playing. For the next game, i believe we will see some change in the line-up with Coutinho back and hopefully a back 4. Maybe Allen will get his game too?
  13. If you prefer 4-2-3-1 then yes. However personally I still wants to give the 4-4-2 diamond a shot
  14. He is great, he is legend. But this is really not his game. I will never say he is lazy and refuse to run, but there is only so much running he can do. I don't want to blame anyone, but BR should sub him for Allen in such high energy game.
  15. There is really nothing much can be done now. Maybe Allen can give it a shot, but thats really it, and he is not a goal scoring midfielder also.
  16. Surprised that no one here bought up the incident where the ref stop the game to give a yellow to an opposing player. It was an equalizing goal if counted.
  17. The midfield is in no position to score. Lucas being the DM stays back, Gerrard barely makes it to the edge of the box and Henderson just runs around without much ball playing. Put Coutinho there in a midfield diamond, now you have some one to score some goals
  18. A better DM is desperately needed. Lucas can be a backup DM or rotate as a box to box guy. But face it, we are never going to get the Alonso/Mach/Gerrard midfield ever again. Those were the best in the world at that time and on par with any greatest midfield in history
  19. Just like Gerrard. Some days he decides to haunt the shit out of the opponent, then some days he is just non existence.
  20. I really want to see Suarez and Sturridge together up front. The only 2 ways i can think of this will be the 442 diamond (the one i prefer) or remain 3-5-2. For 4-4-2 it will be quite simple with Coutihno on top and Lucas at the bottom. But now the CBs will be a huge problem as 2 of them would be on the bench. For 3-5-2 (3-4-1-2). One of the CBs really needs to step up and take on the sweeper role and change the formation to 4-3-1-2 for extra presence in the midfield. Ps: i want to edit my above post, but they don't allow to do so. sorry for the spam
  21. This will be a long standing problem for whatever manager in Liverpool, no one really got the guts to sub him at half time or leave him on the bench. Not even Kenny
  22. Thanks that coutinho is backed. Finally scrapping the back 3. Honestly, we all saw this coming. Especially when Johnson is out, the flanks are non-existing. Then try to play through the middle against one of the more in form midfield in the league is just asking to be overrun.
  23. Honestly the midfield is going to get overrun non matter who is out there. Arsenal has Ozil, Ramsey, Cazorla, Wilshere, Arteta and possibly 1 more player that is going to in the midfield area. Liverpool only have Henderson, Lucas and Gerrard; with maybe Coutinho replacing a CB. Winning the midfield battle really seems impossible. Maybe some long ball tactic won't be so bad with Suarez and Sturridge as target man and supporting each other.
  24. He is a rare ball playing CBs but dropping someone in form is always bad. I don't mind seeing him replace Toure to play as a sweeper role without the last man defending part.
