  1. Hmm your maths is a bit off. We spent 113m this summer and recouped 51m Last year we spent 117m and recouped 70m or thereabouts. Thats not the same thing is it? They want investment because they don't want to spend either their own money or put the club in debt. The more debt we are in, the less they get if they were to walk away and they may want to sell at the drop of a hat. They are simply protecting their bottom line. it has nothing to do with being run sustainably, its everything to do with protecting the stakeholders assets. They've used money that could have been used for transfers on the stadium and facilities which should have come from their own pockets or loaned at a longer rate, but they made sure the club paid it back quickly to themselves. To be honest, you are beyond help. The mere fact you are blaming other teams spending is moot. As I said with some above average investment Jurgen has proved he can compete and the years leading up to our title and CL wins we spent fairly well and bought a good few players on average per window, which has slowly over time become a 1 in 1 out policy (in fact this summer its been the opposite) and sell to buy. Its not good enough.
  2. Here comes the sacrificial lamb for this summer https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-review-jorg-schmadtkes-position-27613916
  3. Just waiting for the Pearce tweet. The final curtain...
  4. The lad needs to be rebuilt. He's missed three games already!
  5. And? Do you want me to give them a medal? The fact remains we didn’t get the player, we failed. If everything’s fucked they’d better sell up and we’d better not bother trying then if that’s the attitude. Again your argument falls flat because Jurgen has already proved he can beat guardiola without extensive spending, but he can’t beat him with the bare minimum approach which is what we are witnessing and why we finished fifth.
  6. There you go, this guy is about 15-20, deffo.
  7. If i were you I would dismiss myself from this forum. You'll be calling us fifa players next.
  8. Are you ten? Seriously? Are you unable to comprehend being able to buy players without matching the sports washers? This just shows your lack of maturity, your arguments fall flat. No one has ever asked for that kind of spend, just that we get the players we need to make the on field plans work. yeah its all roses after yesterday but we have a weak as piss squad that will be stretched in the coming months.
  9. See two posts up for confirmation. Listen i dont give a fuck that we signed Mac Allister or that we put a bid in for Caciedo. That's the bare minimum I expect from an elite sports team that's one of the best in the world and that has global revenues that outstrip 97% of teams. The stand? Get to fuck. They should have paid for that themselves because they get to walk away with the value of it whilst getting the club to finance it. They are fucks and its came at the detriment to on pitch funds.
  10. We are being run as a business that props up other ventures in their folio and opens up new business to them. We are run for profit first, competitiveness second, the very definition of any business. Living within its means is a buzzword that they created. I don't even feel we are living within our means as we made a bucketload over the last several years and still didn't spend anything.
  11. Maybe. Its just the revisionary nonsense you get in here. At the start of the window we needed 3 midfielders and a cb. Then we lost two first team dm players on top of that. Most people complain about Nat Phillips who did a sterling job of seeing us to a third place finish in the league and how he, Gomez and matip are not good enough, but this new guy whose only on the bench because of our shitty transfer business should be given a chance. Its unbelievable.
  12. Ah so Nat Phillips, Gomez and Matip are not good enough but this kid is? Talk about being selective.
  13. I think the phrase rhymes with Clucking Bell. So some no mark who was plying his trade at Bristol Rovers last season is now seen as a possible answer after 10 minutes at Newcastle? The lowering of expectations is now complete.
  14. Because we are not here to be run like a department store? Klopp will leave anyway and when he does we will sink like a stone to 8-9th on this budget.
  15. You can only summarise that they are keeping their franchises in line and balanced to either allow them the leeway to invest further in their portfolio or in our case to sell us at the drop of a hat. I’m not sure how you can own as much as they do and be as interested in as many projects as they are and not step away from the day to day responsibilities. Thats we’re I think we are with this lot.
  16. I think you have to be a bit mental to run one of these fan channels. That Anfield Agenda guy...I mean he's very unhinged isn't he? Might you most of them are.
  17. Not sure on Endo but have to give him a chance as its early days. Seem to be chasing shadows a bit. I really hope we bring in a few faces this week. Gomez did really well when he came on, lets hope he can sustain that.
  18. YAYA YA YA YAAAAAHHHHH haven't screamed so much in ages. get the eff in!!! I said 2-1!
  19. Of course corruption exists its human nature. Are you telling me that nothing goes on? Nothing? This is elite sport with big players and big owners and a weasel like FA in charge. Its always been corrupt. I mean Mike Dean basically admitted it this week.
