I can't throw enough acclaim on Jurgen and his staff, he's even made Edwards turn himself around from his initial dodgy spell. Everything Jurgen touches turns to gold and the fact he's been operating on a budget similar to Bournemouth, well its nothing short of a miracle. He deserved Werner, he earned that buy. Where will FSG get another man like Jurgen? he's utterly unique and has made this Club, from top to bottom, work at 200% of its capacity.

Who is being a tit? Its a given they will have some sort of nutritional and fitness regime per player, thats modern sport. But that still doesn't legislate for Mane or Salah snapping their hamstring in the first 5 minutes of a match. And in that sense we've been very fortunate, regarding the front three that none of them have had a long term injury in that regard but it could happen at any given time, theres no control over that. Theres also more risk of that happening the more strenuous the load is on each player, and Jurgen doesn't really deviate from his starting 11 much, so they play pretty much every game. Anyway as always we will see.

This isn't FIFA where you keep the same 11 game to game. We have been amazingly fortunate to get nearly three full seasons out of the front three and have no injury to VVD. In fact its a bit of a miracle. How long that will last is anyones guess. Ian Doyle from the Echo was using the Blackburn game as a barometer about how ok we are with no transfers. I mean FFS he's advocating AOC on the flank in a meaningless friendly against third rate opposition. Has he not been watching us at all?
