  1. Sorry, but the long and short of it is theyre all a bunch of cunts.
  2. It's funny seeing centreists pretending not to understand the problem is not him attending but using the site as a political prop. A little like the Tory Brenda's deliberately trying to downplay partygate with 'its was just a bit of cake'
  3. Barely a week goes by without someone on the Labour front bench mentioning Jeremy Corbyn or anti semitism or both.
  4. I was in a pub opposite the Tony Benn Unite building in Bristol the day she was elected. The Unite staff were in there celebrating her victory. I'd never heard of her (I believe she was the outsider of three) so asked what she's like and they all said she's fantastic and she's going to be a breath of fresh air.
  5. When Ian Austin sounds like the voice of reason you know you're in trouble.
  6. Rachel Reeves was wamping on about Corbyn and antisemitism in yesterday's Sunday Times.
  7. Yes you can but not sure the issue is attendance but using the memorial site as a prop for political gain.
  8. David Lammy! What could possibly go wrong?
  9. Last track on her Diamond Life LP released 38 years ago yesterday, 1984. Social unrest and 3 million unemployed.
  10. On the subject of union leaders here's a good thread from Fasail Islam interviewing Unites Sharon Graham. Interesting though not surprising this is Graham's first broadcast interview with the BBC. Democratically elected head of Britain's largest union has been given less air time than Lawrence Fox who came 6th in the London Mayor's elections and lost his deposit (Binface came 5th). Nevertheless Fox was still invited onto a BBC daytime political programme a few weeks ago where he proceeded to talk a bucket load of spunk. Graham's refreshing imo because it's clear she 100% believes in what she says and 100$ believes in what she's doing, and polls are showing a large proportion of the country agree with her.
  11. Don't know if true but I was trying to think who this reminded me of. Hmm.
  12. On the same day as Labour Lords block free school meals a few miles away in Tower Hamlets controversial former Labour mayor announces, This socialism stuff is terrifying.
  13. Yeah I've probably been coming at it from the wrong direction. For me its no longer a case of if we can afford it, it's can we afford not to do it. Energy bills are through the roof. A train from Cardiff to Liverpool costs a small fortune and the service is third rate. We have plentiful water yet still get charged over the odds whilst water firms pump our rivers with shit. Unless you own shares pivatisation is just not working. We're now experiencing 35 degree heatwaves so net zero should be another priority. We are going to have people and animals looking at death through extreme temperatures in the summer and people freezing and starving to death in the winter. The situations fucking dire.
  14. Re nationalisation pays for itself within a decade. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/nationalise-royal-mail-energy-water-savings-bills-national-grid-a9203636.html
  15. It's vital we do. A start would be to call out the bullshiters who still pretend it's not a popular policy with the British public. It is. The fools and scam artists who pretend otherwise should be treated with the same scorn and derision as the cranks who deny climate change.
  16. Polls show so called hard left union has support from majority of British pubic. People are sick and fucking tired of listening to middle England torys in marginal seats.
  17. But it is pragmatic. Privatisation has cost this country dear. Taking control of our assets is a necessity. Its a must, for our childrens future. Nevermind the cost, it should not even be a debate. Water/Gas/Rail are ours, they are our children's, these assets are not the possession of rich gamblers who know they've backed a winning horse before the race is run, they are ours and they have been stolen.
