Like you i have some sympathy for him too, it should never have been let to get to this.

That's absolute nonsense, anyone that has been taking notice of the games this season and especially of late will know that Gerrard has been a pure passenger most of the time, to be brutally honest he's a hindrance nowadays. Last night we were as solid as we have been all season especially the first half, the balance was there, we were a properly functioning team working as one with no loose parts, it was really nice to see. Gerrard is a legend of this club and nothing will ever take away what he has done for Liverpool but his time is clearly up, that's the reality. Henderson nearly always plays better without Gerrard in the team, ever since the 0-5 at Spurs it's been quite obvious, when Gerrard was injured this time last year is when people started to sit up and take notice how good Henderson can be, when he is allowed to fully express himself he is a very good player, problem is he can only really do that without Gerrard in the team because he has to do a lot of Gerrards donkey work when Gerrard is playing. Don't forget Sterling.

They done a great job in there tonight, it was the best we have looked in the middle of the pitch all season. Didn't really take much notice of the replays of their goal, too busy moaning, someone should have picked up Sigurdssen but Sakho and his 50p head are an unpredictable thing, bit unlucky but still doesn't excuse him being free.

Nice to see him in his proper position tonight, Who'd have thought that playing players in their best positions is a good idea? It's nice to see Lallana more central where he is more of a threat as well as Moreno in a position that clearly suits his abilities, Can is a nice surprise as a center back too, fuck it's just nice to see us look like a good team at last. Thing is though i doubt it will last with Gerrard strolling straight back into the team and probably Lovren, also Balotelli and Johnson.
