  1. Responding with questions again. You haven't made a mockery of anyone, if anything you're boring the arse off people writing the same post over and over again whilst ignoring all the questions and facts other posters who don't agree with you put to you. Last season was a great thrill ride from January to April but it was due to a set of near perfect circumstances that won't be happening again any time soon, it was built on quicksand with Suarez holding the house up along with some help from Sterling and Sturridge, once Suarez and Sturridge have gone it sunk and the manager has been flailing around ever since and proving to us quite clearly that he's way out of his depth, even having the benefit of the biggest summer spend in Liverpools history hasn't hidden this He hasn't got a clue how to build and organise an actual team and squad, it's as clear as day, there are no solid foundations there for future success. it's all if's and buts and a load of midgets and kids, it's an unorganised mess with no clear direction.
  2. I can't get all giddy about a half season perfect storm that ultimately led to nothing, certainly not after what has happened this season. I prefer to look at the big picture to form my opinion on Rodgers, it's is the best way to do it, when you do that the negatives far outweigh the positives, it's not even close. The cherry picking of that last half a season is all you've seemingly got to offer judging by your many similar posts, you can easily argue that wasn't exactly all down to Rodgers either whilst many of the negatives are undeniable. It's a typical deflection method of someone who has no real answers to the questions and facts put forward to them. It never fails to amaze does it? Liverpool fans excusing and perversely championing mediocrity is sad sad state of affairs.
  3. He would have been a great captain for us, he pretty much was in all but name anyway, Don't forget Gerrard wanted to piss off once upon a time too.
  4. What happens if the winners qualify through their league position anyway?
  5. Don't see any point in trying to turn him into a DM, just go out and buy a good one, playing Henderson as a DM would never get the best out of him, he needs to be free to get up and down the pitch, not shackled in a defensive role.
  6. Beating Besiktas is a tough ask for this Liverpool, we've already shit the bed badly in Europe this season and they gave Arsenal a real scare in the CL qualifiers, they we're unlucky not to go through in the end. Beating Chelsea over 2 legs in the League Cup looks highly unlikely. FA Cup? if the draw is kind, a Wycombe semi final type scenario would be handy. Nothing has changed regarding 4th from 2/3 months ago, it's still a long shot, the choice between winning another European Trophy and finishing 4th is a complete no brainer. The chances are the Europa League will be our last hope of CL football for next season by the time we play Besiktas (mid Feb?), Rodgers will have to go all out for if that's the case.
  7. Plus this great football we play often doesn't exist.
  8. Style over substance? In football substance beats style all day long.
  9. The sooner Rodgers leaves and FSG wake up and appoint a manager befitting of Liverpool FC the better. Bring Benitez back you bastards, we'd be a genuine favouite for the Europa League right off the bat, it would be so bloody nice to really believe Liverpool have a chance of winning trophies again, even in his last season with the club falling to pieces he came so close to getting us to another European Final, ahhhh going deep in Europe, reaching and winning finals, that's what this club exists for, yet were not really trying anymore, it's tragic.
  10. Since LFC became a nursery school for managers?
  11. Benitez... If I could think of one word to describe Steven Gerrard it would be ‘passion’. He was my captain at Liverpool Football Club for six seasons and we worked closely together to develop a side that could win the Premier League and the Champions League. Without Steven we could not have achieved the incredible success that we enjoyed throughout those years. The ‘Miracle of Istanbul’ was only possible because of him. Steven inspired the team that night, refusing to believe it was an impossible job at half time against AC Milan. He led the charge with a wonderful headed goal and showed the determination needed to win a penalty for our third goal. And when called upon to sacrifice his position on the pitch for the team he didn’t hesitate. It was the perfect stage for him to showcase his talents, and Steven and the other Liverpool players were rewarded with the European Cup. He nearly always thrived on the big occasion, producing one of the great FA Cup goals as we beat West Ham at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff. And the partnership he developed with Fernando Torres produced some of the most exciting attacking football the Premier League has ever seen. After hearing the news today that Steven will leave Liverpool at the end of the season I wanted to wish him all the best for the future and thank him for his all his hard work during the time I was at Anfield. Liverpool FC is not just losing a great athlete, or a great footballer. The club is losing its ‘red’ heartbeat. Steve, remember, you’ll never walk alone.
  12. So to sum up, he's not Steven Gerrard.
  13. Deschamps was also in charge of the Monaco team that got to the CL final the year before we won it, they got turned over by Mourinho's Porto but it was still a very impressive achievement on his part, to say he 'has been to a variety of clubs and done nothing' is ludicrous, same goes for the rest of that aids ridden post.
  14. He's about as exciting as finding a lump on your bollock. Thing is, this time Rodgers was never trying to blag us and get away with anything, he really believed that, bad judgement and extreme naivity on his part, traits we have become accustomed to.
  15. Has anyone noticed how woefully shit Fazio is for Spurs? Cocking up without fail everytime i see them, they must be desperate for center backs if he's getting games, he's that bad he makes Lovren look half decent.
  16. Haha, he's a pure natural, mate. I don't think anything will ever beat that Brendan Rodgers tactics/Eddie Murphy on a wheelie trolley analogy.
  17. Look, we're all in strung out shape, but we need to stay frosty, and alert, we can't afford to let these bastards get us down. I know these are emotional moments for all of us, i know that, we probably shouldn't make snap judgements, this is clearly an important issue we are dealing with and i don't think that you or I, or anybody has the right to arbitrarily exterminate Brendan, Ayre, the coaching staff, the transfer committee, Johnson, Balotelli and Lovren. But... Maybe you haven't been keeping up with recent events, we keep getting our arses kicked! It's game over man, Game over. What the fuck are we supposed to do now, huh? what are we gonna do? Well I believe that now is the time for us fans have authority here. This organisation is under yank jurisdiction and us fans are next in the chain of command, am i right, everyone? It's multi million dollar organsiation, we CAN make that kind of decision, they're just yanks, no offence. I say we take off and nuke the lot of them from orbit... ...it's the only way to be sure.
  18. Dejan Lovren is a leader, Rodgers has told us this many times. You are right though, we have very few actual men playing for us, Toure is a man and the only natural leader we have and he'll be off next season as well. I would give it to Henderson and hope it brings out the man and leader in him, there isn't really any other choices, Skrtel, Lallana, Sakho? Sturridge wouldn't be a bad option but he isn't on the pitch enough.
  19. No need to fear, Fabien Delph will be bought, we can really move to another level then.
  20. Feel sorry for that bloke, he will always be thinking 'if only'. 23/10 Hull to beat Everton was free money, no hindsight needed.
  21. Excuses, excuses, denial and more excuses, delusion makes an appearance in there too.
