  1. Yeah 5....max of 3 occasions...although can make subs at HT and they don't count towards 3. I think.
  2. Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, R. Williams, Gomez, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Jones, Jota, Mane, Salah. Subs: Adrian, Kelleher, Milner, Keita, Firmino, Minamino, Tsimikas, Shaqiri, Origi, Matip, Cain, N. Williams. I like the front 3....the midfield less so.
  3. I went away to Plough Lane in our title winning season of 1990....we won 2-1 i think it was.
  4. What a story this is. Feel so sorry for their fans that they can't be there for such an occasion. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54779977
  5. Just can't see them being any threat.....they are too inconsistent. Look OK v teams who come on to them and leave them space to counter but they are very one dimensional and for my money they'll be nowhere near top of table come the sharp end.
  6. No chance. They'll blow up just like last season.
  7. He has got a pretty mediocre fitness record, and his first few weeks with us have been total AIDS on that front, but to be fair to him can't really blame him for it so far with covid and then that mongrel Richarlison clattering him.
  8. Fucking nightmare and a total head wrecker. That’s the tricky thing with this whole situation. On one hand, when looking at it from a macro perspective you see it in relation to other things and you get the feeling we’re making too big a deal out of it so to speak....I see it that way sometimes. I read facts like the average age of death from or with coronavirus in England and Wales is 82.4....the average age of death from all other causes in same period is 81.4 and I think is it really worth the devestation to society, the economy etc... Then someone you know who was young and seemingly healthy dies from it and your focus all of a sudden zooms in on the micro. Then your rational brain then says, “yeah that happens with car wrecks and cancer too. How is this any different?” But I think it is different. For one thing, its new. .....And I think most people don’t want to just jump right on board and accept and normalise any new risk without first trying to eliminate it. Second, it is contagious, and that throws a whole other unknown factor to it, including mutation to something worse - without speaking on the probability of that as I have no idea...... Risks that we don’t fully understand are in effect, riskier. I do think it is reasonable when people point to the societal and economical costs of lockdowns and the heavy restrictions that have been in place now for months.....I also of course fully understand when people point to 300 people dying a day. It is so emotive, and it is hard to not become emotional and then polarised. I was involved in a heated debate the other day where the argument was about how we face choices between suppressing the virus and saving the economy. There is a totally reasonable argument around this and how it may be the other way around......Suppressing the virus WILL save the economy, as seen by the economic performances of the countries that have succeeded in doing so. While this is true in the long-term, there is still a huge and hugely damaging short-term cost to people, jobs and the economy - even if you come out net ahead in the long-run. If you are of a mind that this virus is simply not that big a deal, you see even that short-term cost as unnecessary. I think the people who see it this way are assuming that everything being done is not really doing much to reduce the incidence of the virus anyway, that it is inevitable. So they aren’t comparing the UK's approach to the short-term draconian approach, they’re comparing it to doing nothing and letting the virus take its toll. This is usually coupled with a view that the virus hasn’t taken 45,000 (or whatever it is) “whole” lives because in most cases its only shaving a couple of years off the life of someone that was already highly vulnerable..... I’m not saying I agree with this....but i can see the argument and at times I think maybe it is a cogent argument....All I’m saying is there are ways of thinking about it that explain why people don’t see the zero sum game others see. There are so many things to balance - job losses, business losses and the knock effects of that, economic disaster, educations, kids development, loneliness, isolation, mental health crisis, people not having access to or feeling they can get help for other health issues, increases in domestic violence and abuse and on and on an across all aspects of life....and all the time somehow trying to find a balance of all that and fact people are dying. It's a bastard nightmare and one that we all of course hope to fuck would end yesterday. Vent over....I needed to just let that out. Sorry.
  9. This country really is full of stupid fucking twats. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/panic-buying-lockdown-toilet-roll-b37528.html?amp Should fine the lot of them, idiots. Genuinely don’t know why they think they have to do it? For a start it’s a month, and secondly if everyone buys what they actually need shops have more than enough. Doesn’t take a genius to work it out. And who gets essentials from Ikea? Must rush down for a hot dog and some dime bars...
  10. Kane is one cheating fucking shithouse.
  11. They really need to turn the wifi off at clock view on matchdays....
  12. After all their crowing at getting a draw and being top (as if table matters at this stage) and revelling in VVD's injury after the derby - seeing the last two weeks for them has been very enjoyable.
  13. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of lads
  14. We are very fortunate to have two such prolific scorers as Mane and Salah and let's face it scoring goals is not a problem this team has...at present it is stopping letting goals in that is the problem. But from a creativity and scoring point of view our midfield really isn't designed to be effective is it - our full backs who operate like wingers have insane assist numbers and are a massive part of our threat. Where we need to find more goalscoring wise is from the 3rd forward - Firmino whilst never prolific and mindful of how he helps Mane and Salah get chances and goals, has in past added more than he does now goals wise and it would be really helpful if he did again... Jota though does look like he will make a difference and add all important goals - so that is good. Another area we need to be aware of is VVD's goals contribition - we will miss that, it may only be 5 a season, but it is 5 and they can make a difference - our other centre halves don't look like being able to match that - and he had 1 before that little dinomongrel did him. Our midfield is not going to add goals in any meaningful quantity, how we are set up and who is in there show that - it isn't a big problem IMO, but it would be handy if they chipped in with a couple more each a season....Wijnaldum in particular gets some decent chances and all too often fluffs his lines with poor, weak attempted finishes.
  15. DHGate. Download app....seller i have used thanks to people on here is popjersey2018. Been dead on.
  16. I remember being in town after a derby in the early 00's and there was a big group of bitters outside what was the abbey on hanover st, think it as 'head of steam' now singing 'hey emile heskey ooh ahh, i wanna know if you'll be my slave' They have no moral high ground to stand on at all when it comes to racism.
  17. His quality should never have been in doubt. It is of course all about his ability to stay fit. Generally when he plays he contributes.
