Doesn't it feel great to see Liverpool FC taking Europe seriously again? It still bothers me that our last Champions League campaign was treated so disgracefully by the manager in charge. Klopp wants to win the Europa League and that's why we got a game like the one we witnessed yesterday. So looking forward to our next match in Europe now.
In hindsight, maybe Allen should have started. Might not have made any difference, this is a world class team we're up against. I just hope we don't concede any more goals.
Shameful stuff, and how "they" would block the legitimate grievances of Spurs and especially Leyton Orient was particularly sinister. Definitely very dodgy business between West Ham and some tosser in power to get the deal they did.
After our performance in the 1st leg, I'm pretty confident of winning this. Unless we play an absolute stinker, I think we'll get through. Dortmund are a good team but we've got the beating of them.
Rashford looks like some talent. Good thing he'll probably disappear once Mourinho comes in and relegates their youngsters back to the youth teams.
As for Barca, I'm a fan of Messi and of course Suarez but beyond that I don't really have any amount of affection for the club so not bothered that they're out of the CL. As long as it doesn't mean that City or Real end up winning the CL, it's no disaster that they're out.
I do have a sneaky suspicion that City might win it. Anyone else feeling the same?
Delighted with that. Happy to do the double over these cunts, helps a little bit to get over that 6-1 nightmare. A good win even with lots of regulars missing. Hopefully the rested lads will come back and roll over Dortmund next week.
Yep, Sturridge's greedy attitude has pissed me off this season. Selfish, and not a team player.
Origi is still raw but give him more games to develop, he can be some player. Not as gifted as Sturridge but quicker and a better team player.
Some people are too harsh on Hendo. He'll never be a blood and thunder captain like Gerrard but he's a good player, useful to have in the squad. 2 seasons ago he was absolutely immense. Not sure whether that was because of the Suarez stardust but his performances were excellent for much of 13-14. He's been injured for most of this season which isn't his fault so he's never got any rhythm going. And Klopp clearly trusts him as he picks him over Allen every time. I don't think he's going anywhere, any time soon.
Too right. Fans of other teams don't like seeing us being successful in Europe, they hate it for various reasons. So I couldn't a shit about them and hope every single one of them fails miserably. Except Leicester next season. Hope they upset a few 'big' European teams in the CL next season, that would be funny.
