Diaz thrives as the support act. Tonight he needs to be the main man but he's fluffing his lines. He's playing quite well but finishing is nonexistent. He needed to put one of the chances away.

It's depressing thinking of the alternatives to Alonso we could go for. The comedown from Klopp - whoever we get - is absolutely huge. Alonso would at least bring a feel good factor even if he ends up being a flop. Every other candidate would get nothing but apathy from the get go. This summer is going to be grim unless we secure Alonso for next season.

I can see FSG going for Tuchel if they can't get Xabi. These guys are not particularly strong when it comes to evaluating managers. Remember, these are the same planks that interviewed Roberto fucking Martinez. They'll see a guy in Tuchel who has won a few titles in France and fluked the Champions League, has the same nationality as Jurgen and will give him the job. We need to move heaven and earth to secure Xabi as our next manager because Bayern will 100% be going after him. And in Germany, Bayern usually get what they want. Hopefully Xabi has some principles and will tell Bayern to do one.
