  1. It's been cancelled. No decision yet on title winners, relegation, etc. That'll be decided next month.

    Michael Robinson

    Sad news. RIP Michael.
  3. Surely the season will resume soon? Clubs can't be happy to pay their players all this money for doing nothing, not while the clubs themselves make no money. It's going to be behind closed doors which will be shit but better than nothing. Hopefully there'll be no resistance from players. Tell 'em to play or they don't get paid.
  4. The Premiership is a separate entity, it can decide to award the title to Liverpool, let the lower leagues work out what they want to do.
  5. The Dutch league is worth pennies mate. The premiership has billions riding on it. No comparison. This season will be finished one way or the other. Failing that, I cannot imagine the league would deny us the title should the season be ended prematurely. There would be no credibility left in the game if that were to happen.
  6. Who gives a shit about what's going on in Holland. They want to cancel and void that's their stupidity. That can't and won't happen here.

    Patrik Berger vs Oyvind Leonhardsen

Berger, by a mile. Not even a comparison for me.

    Collymore, Baros or Cisse

Collymore, easily. Massively talented. The season before he joined us he was unbelievable at Forest. There haven't been many signings that excited me more than Collymore, I really thought we would easily win the title with him and Fowler up front. Pity his head wasn't screwed on properly, his potential was huge.

    Sir Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish

Great news, very relieved to hear he's back home.

    George Michael

Dead at 53. 2016 is seriously taking the piss now.

    Sir Kenneth Mathieson Dalglish

At least he's not showing any symptoms, hopefully he'll ride this out without too much bother. Curse this fucking virus, what a nightmare everything is becoming. Really sick of this now, the only positive for me is that I'm finally getting back to normal after 3 weeks in bed and isolation due to this fucking thing. Best of luck to Kenny.

As someone who is also struggling with this bastard I wish him well. It's fucking horrible and the feeling of dread this disease causes just worsens things.

    Go fuck yourselves FSG

The club need to backtrack asap. This has been an appalling move by the club and I can't believe Jurgen without be agreeing to this. Haven't felt this low about the conduct of our club for many years.
  14. Not just disappointed but personally feel gutted by the clubs decision here. An absolutely appalling move.
  15. James McClean refuses to wear a poppy | Mail Online I'm not sure about this recent fad of imprinting poppies on football shirts. While I applaud the sentiment behind the use of poppies in general, does it really belong in sport? I thought FIFA took a dim view of the politicising of football? Don't think we've heard the end of this, McClean is going to get a bit of flak for this.
  16. I truly hope we don't follow the example of scum clubs like spuds and Newcastle and furlough the salaries of the non-playing staff. I've truly been sickened by the premier League over this and as a club we need to take the moral stance and defer player salaries in order to pay the club staff. Asking the government to pay for the salaries of staff members while the club pays millionaire footballers their full wage is despicable.
  17. Give us the title and end the season. Don't give a shit about the rest. I want the title and virus or no virus I'll be going to fucking war if it's taken from us.

Is there any good reason why we are still allowing regular passenger flights into the UK? Surely we have to start limiting all incoming arrivals to essential passengers, such as doctors, scientists? We're not even testing people for the virus at airports. How are we expected to control this outbreak if we're still allowing people into the country without testing? Am I missing something here or is this pretty insane?

There's a weird conspiracy theory going around that 5G networks are the cause of this virus. Apparently that's why the virus is mainly affecting industrialised nations that have rolled out 5G and why the 3rd world has so far been mostly spared. Iran apparently have an extensive 5G network that was due to go live next month which is why they also have been hit hard. We are living in very strange times.

So where did these two viruses come from then?

I mentioned this a few days ago here, it's really the worst kept secret in London. We're fully expecting troops to be patrolling the streets by Friday, and eventually all travel in and out of the city to be stopped. Things are about to get draconian, Wuhan style.
  22. I know there are bigger concerns but I can't helped getting riled by cunts who are demanding the season be cancelled so early without even bothering to wait a few months to see what the situation would look like then. Why cancel now when we might be able to resume the season in July? Unlikely I know but it looks like the Chinese league is restarting soon, around 3 months after the coronovirus first appeared there. I live in hope we might also be out of the woods in a similar timeframe.

Without wanting to cause panic, I've heard from several people who have contacts in the police and armed forces that a nationwide lock-down will be in effect by end of the week. Not sure what that will entail exactly (if true) but expect to see streets cleared and army guys on patrol. Supermarkets also expected to have additional security and measures to ensure panic buy does not occur which will cause huge queues. Could be false information but I expected something like this to happen at some point. If you are able, get stocked up on essentials by tomorrow would be my advice.
