  1. Precisely and nor should we expect it to be fixed over night.
  2. If supporting a manager who deserves a chance and not rising to your pathetic insults at the same time makes me a bellend, then bellend be I.
  3. When did 6 months become ample time to turn round such a monumental fuck up?
  4. It's hardly Brendan's fault that his best defensive player (not just in midfield but full stop) Lucas has been out injured. Houllier had Hamann and a rampant Gerrard not to mention he played long ball Heskey to knock down Owen goal; and Rafa, dear god Rafa had "the greatest midfield in the world" I don't see this idea that attacks arn't being snuffed out either. Who was the last team to outplay us or over run us completely because we pushed up the field? I've seen teams take their half chances while we've failed to take ours but I'm still yet to see a side comprehensively outplay us I'm reminded of what Guardiola said when he was asked whether he would bollock Alves for missing a tackle and costing Barca a game, when asked by the reporter: "Will you have a word with him about his defending and tell him not to attack as much?" Guardiola replied "No I'll just tell him to attack better."
  5. Fanchester City. Always unbiased, clearly knowledgable and if he disagrees he doesn't have to act like a child to try and get the proper hard "cunt mob" on here on his side. That's right, the best poster on here is a City fan.
  6. Hyypia never needed to be mobile and he was tidy on the ball. He stopped attacks before they started and what we wouldn't give for his aerial dominance, poise and leadership at the back now?! Carragher is past it and he knows it and yet he's come back into the team and showed that he's still more reliable and can still comand a back 4. Who exactly is supposed to be the leader of our back 4 or 5 if you include the keeper? Every team that does anything has one. Look at the goals we're conceding, for the most part they are either individual errors or because we're pushing forward looking for a goal we should have scored in the first half along with another two or three. That famous Arsenal back four didn't have to move, they always had the knowledge that their strikers would take their half chances and they'd be able to play in unison not needing to go up and try and win the game late on. They also were good on the ball (had to be in that team) and had one of the best leaders of all time in Tony Adams. There was more stability in Swansea's back line and when Chico made that mistake the first thing Rodgers did was back him and he then had the strength of character to improve and not make that same stupid mistake again right after, something our players need to learn. This isn't about buying the best. Let City have Skrtel and Agger if they still want them and watch them suffer as a result. City are so in tune with what's going on that they bench their best player in Tevez and they break up a partnership that won them the title at the back in Kompany and Lescott to bring in a young talented player who clearly wasn't ready for this league despite his talent.
  7. No offence but if you would have told me that a City fan after the takeover would be the most intelligent poster on here I would never have believed it. As ever, a quality post.
  8. No but the self proclaimed "most knowledgable and loyal fanbase tm" are. I'm embarrassed with some of the things said about our manager and how he is not only being judged on poor results but the fact he took over from Kenny. You'll Never Walk Alone? My arse.
  9. Okay not sure where half my post went but Given that Beckenbauer was known for his pace inspite of his size and tecnhical ability and poise on the ball leading to calm and well made decisions not to mention his stamina and forward thinking attributes I doubt that very much. In fact he'd be perfect for our system.

  11. See this is the mistake. We've got the ball, we can get the ball into dangerous areas but there's never anyone there to make that chance a goal. We had all the possession, 25 shots of which 7 were on target. West Brom sat back and defended with their lives and that combined with yet another inspirational goalkeeping performance at Anfield was enough for them to smash and grab the points. Get some genuine poachers into this side and these games change from draws/losses into wins.
  12. Again, well said. What hope has the lad really had? He may well be shite but he's not had any chance to prove otherwise for me.
  13. Borini is nothing but a finisher and that's why I can't understand why we've put him out wide so often. Just give him a chance in his actual position till the end of the season. Give the lad some confidence and remind him why we paid the money for him in the first place and then if it doesn't work out at least we gave ourselves and him a chance. This lad we're seeing now is not the same player that came to us from Italy. I feel sorry for him, what chance did he really have. Would you have put Inzaghi out wide? You'd certainly be right to say he's one dimensional as well but what a dimension!
  14. There's nothing wrong with the football, the midfield (other than depth balance wise) and the way we're playing, it's all down to the fact we don't have a natural goalscorer who will take those chances. Nevermind half chances, we're creating quality opportunities but we need a proven goalscorer to put them away. We don't need another Suarez or Sturridge, just your Huntelaar or Raul type who first and foremost are FINISHERS.
  15. I've heard pure abuse for Borini, the kind of abuse that was reserved for Lucas (whom I stuck up for) and Henderson (whom I again stuck up for). Well guess what, I'm going to stick up for Borini now as well. In the few minutes he was on the pitch he looked lost, a man without a position and his touch was letting him down and I can see why it's easy for people to have a pop at him. Despite how poor Borini looked (which I put down to lack of match fitness and games in his position) he showed something that no one else has in all of our unlucky draws of late and it's for that reason he should be allowed to play up top for the rest of the season and given a chance to show us what he can or can't do. He showed a natural goal scoring instinct. First of all his shot that pulled a great save from Foster but then more so when he got to the rebound late on. Alright yes it went wide but it was natural and it's what we've completely lacked. Watching him for Roma he was constantly doing this, all his goals were basically rebounds and it's that player we lack. Suarez - Borini - Sturridge. We invested 10.5m in the lad, let's see what he's got. With him constantly looking to get in the box and get across his man and be on top of the keeper if he spills anything then it gives us 3 players that are capable of scoring goals. Borini is a risk yes and I still want to see a proven poacher next year who will win those games we've been drawing or losing mark my words but till then let's give Fabio a go, what have we got to lose? This season is a bust now, we're not finishing fourth as a I told you all the other day and it took one day with a couple of injuries to prove what we lacked in squad depth and it took only one game from then to show what I'd been saying about a lack of a player to cause problem in the six yard box. Feel free to take the piss as per and bring up my name and even call me a manc but once again you'll look in a few weeks and think, i hate him but he's right.
  16. I see it differently. Of course part of it was that you can't take the player out of the game and he's just a n* who wants his corners (his words not mine) but the main sense I got from that scene where he goes back to the street from the party was that even though he wanted out, he just didn't have the tools to survive in a far bigger and tougher game where he didn't get the rules. On the street he was the kingpin yeah but in the business world when he went legit, he was no one. In the end it became a bit of a metaphor as well I'd say that even when his life depended on leaving the streets, it was all he knew. He'd perfected the art of not dying but he had no idea of how to live.
  17. Omar's comin yo! Oh and Stringer by far. I had such fucking high hopes for us ...
  18. Look at the tags ahahahah the proper poor effort to be either hurtful or funny. Come on at least make it comical in its merit not that its just sad that that's the best you can come up with. If I've really give you that much ammo. Come on I'll even rep (internet reach round) one of you if you can do it.
  19. Ha, that you know how to find that list or have looked says far more. Where are you and how many net mates did you have round to celebrate when you found out?
  20. You already said that. Do you all hang round together outside of the forum trying to bully people you don't agree with as well? Ha, it's pathetic. Make a thread and within seconds it's the same no lifers who have responded in seconds using the same tired insults and swearing not like dockers but like kids whose ma isn't watching. Seriously before you have a pop at the next lad who isn't in the clique (one nobhead going as far as to call me a manc and I hope you get hit by a car for that one by the way) maybe you should take a look at what you're actually doing. Acting hard on the net, well played lads. If any of you want to meet up in the Sandon or all of you for that matter then give me a shout. I'm sure you can't be quite as epic gobshites as you come across and I'll bet you don't speak to people like this in real life (or you wouldn't be here you'd be constantly in a hospital bed), so why do it on here. Please let me be your new internet mate, PLEASE! Well done on dodging the footy convo again, I'm the best type of mong yet not one of you can put together a coherent post stating why I'm talking shit. Conclusion? You can't best a mong. Played.
  21. Great manager who I believed was going to be our next manager and wouldn't have minded one bit if he was. I wouldn't swop Rodgers for anyone now though. I still think A.V.B. is proving a lot of his detractors wrong and that Tottenham 1-9 are a better side than United but they suffer from not having 4 strikers that can bang in goals like United. They're defo coming for the title sooner rather than later though Spurs if they can keep hold of Bale and get in Damiao or someone of that ilk. Feel free to mock that as well and then a year from now revisit this post.
  22. You beast, how will I ever go on with a red bar next to my name. Sorry mate but I don't live here like the rest of you so my "rep" doesn't matter to me. Feel free to "neg" every post I make never once thinking about what "negging" says about you or your life.
  23. I always thought winning the league was our bread and butter, but yeah what good would a player who has a better than 1 in 2 strike ratio add, you know other than goals. :wallbutt:
