I wish we did move on from Downing and Adam. Unfortunately it looks like we will jizz 30m on them while City probably buy Aguero for 30m and someone gets Mata for 25m

Why are we willing to pay the english tax/premium when there are better players with better technique available abroad for a cheaper price. Carroll is only 22 so you can find a little justification for overpaying Downing is a squad player not a Top 4 player. He wont push us up. And well Adam, pointless time wasting exercise. Already well stocked in central midfield. Too me, we are adding medicore players to a very mediocre squad. Hate to say it but Kenny seems to be falling into the trap of previous managers of buying players we don't need or who wont improve us. Look at Suarez. I'll challenge anyone to name a better english player in our squad with better skill and technique. To surround him with players like downing and adam is a huge injustice. A totally bizarre summer in all honesty so far

...I'm pretty sure he referred to conversations with JWH, Comolli and Kenny. He said he was excited by plans for the summer and something along the lines of we were going for good players who he was excited by. I dont think he was referring to Henderson, Downing and Adam surely. Not giving them a bashing but they surely arent the players who would excite someone like Reina. So is it possible that some foreign deals are lined up?

Surely Kenny and Comolli arent that stupid to prioritise another central midfielder over a second winger and left back. I don't see how funds can be tight, I really can't. To spend potentially 25m to 30m on two central midfielders and buy mediocre or no left back and wingers will be disgraceful and frankly in line with how the club has been run for the last 7 to 10 years

Well if Sid Lowe is right and we are only after players with Premiership experience and being skint, then may aswell forget Top 4.
