  1. Imagine picking the side of people butchering over 600 civilians and taking hundreds of civilian hostages and somehow manage to delude yourself into believing you’re fighting the good cause. If it wasn’t such a devastatingly sad example of human stupidity it’d be hilarious.
  2. All good here. Looking forward to watching Israel take out the garbage.
  3. Hopefully there won’t be much left of Gaza in a few weeks time.
  4. Jones should have punched him instead of slipped and he would’ve gotten away with a yellow like what happened against Endo.
  5. The red card was a decent investment but yelling at refs when playing for Liverpool is beyond stupid.
  6. Perhaps he should try not going for a blatant red card and yelling at the referees next game he is eligible to play.
  7. Bayern is also interested and no doubt City would sell him to Germany on the cheap rather than us.
  8. We are in reality building this team around Trent (changing our entire team structure and tactics to accommodate him). This is what we get. You may build a team around players like Gerrard, Messi, Scholes, Ronaldo. But not an inept right back. It’s going to be a long season.
  9. I am not advocating this development either, but it is what it is. Football is a business for everyone involved apart from the supporters. We might as well have supported Nike in their epic battle against adidas (or at least that’s how it feels at times).
  10. Imagine coming from very humble beginnings, fighting yourself into a football career in Europe. You do well and get into the Premier League and you do even better on the pitch. Then one club comes in with a massive offer for you and tremendous wages. Then another club comes in and tells you “Hey, bud, we can only offer 60% of the wages you get from the London club, but at least we have a rich history, you in?” Why the hell would he care? History and Koop might be pulls if we are offering wages on par with our rivals, but why on earth would a 21 year old from Ecuador give a fuck about the history of football clubs on a different continent when signing his next contract?
  11. Yeah fuck him for maximizing his earnings in this very short career of his.
  12. Can't believe this is a hot take. Henderson accepting to play for Saudis after wearing the rainbow-band is an absolute travesty. Hopefully this pointless virtue signaling fucks off now, and we can all accept that these people will say and do anything that doesn't hurt their commercial interests. Because it is obviously not about principle. And spare me the hot takes of how bad the West is. Really, it is fucking tiresome.
  13. I never stop being surprised about what already rich people are willing to do for money. But then again, as Lampard wrote in his autobiography, once he visited Abramovich’s yacht for the first time he thought “This is what being really rich looks like!” Lifestyle inflation is real apparently.
  14. He also went to Grozny to play a show-game for Kadyrov. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/may/11/chechens-flock-team-soccer-stars
  15. I'm going to make a very bold prediction here, really putting my head on the block: We're not going to sign M'Bappe.
  16. I don't really disagree with any of that and the reports earlier this winter that made it seem like more or less a done deal look stupid at the moment. All I'm saying is that £135 m++ is roughly what City paid for Haaland (if we are to believe the reports at the time) - and in comparison it seems expensive to pay the same money for Bellingham. In the end I think we are better served spending that money on 2-3 players (midfielders ideally).
  17. If he's priced at £135+addons it's fair enough to pull out. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/apr/11/liverpool-pull-out-of-race-to-sign-jude-bellingham-from-borussia-dortmund
  18. The real question is:Why did Klopp lose his connect in Pervetin? Was it a personal issue, or did those marxist unions demand too much for cooperating? Or maybe he has fallen out of love with LFC and stopped importing the drugs on purpose?
  19. Fair enough. Gomez is just a massive disaster, it’s rare to see players being this poor at this level.
