  1. £26 admin fee is disgraceful. Admin fees always annoy me because it feels like an unfair extra. I'm not after great corporate packages or any such deals- I'm simply saying I understand them selling seats at high prices if they are saleable.
  2. A regular fan seems synonymous with essentially working class to you from your post. Some sort of reverse snobbery seems afoot. You'll be a White knight! Why stop there? Become the people's champion!
  3. Read the post carefully mate. Personally, I don't know anyone that's likely to go to a CL final. I imagine if people's teams were there, and tickets were available, they'd pay. If Liverpool were there, I'd pay. It's a simple case of supply and demand. Demand is phenomenal and supply is low, hence a high price. What more is there to say? Playing devil's advocate, you could argue that we all probably have access to £176 or more across the course of a year for personal expenditure. In which case, aren't we saying it's a low priority by not buying when we want to go? I'd guess some of you moaning mofos are the sort that hate sky and freeload a foreigner's paid for service by Internet streaming as some sort of political smokescreen for being a self-righteous skank.
  4. Any reason in particular? Pushed, I'd call you a spastic for not giving a reason. Here goes: spastic.
  5. It's dead simple mate, people are prepared to pay those fees- check how many empty seats there are come May. If customers will pay that much, and all aspects of football are money dominant, why should these businesses sell for cheaper than they're worth?
  6. It is the most important club game on Earth, what did you expect? You don't fill a stadium with people paying £38 if they'll pay £176- just common sense. No wonder football's going to wrack, ruin and hell in a handbasket with people like you moaning like this! Furthermore, I'd love to go to CL final. Would pay at £176 because I think it's poor value. £38 would be terrific, would I get a ticket? Would I heck! They'd all go, satisfying a tiny proportion of the fans. The big money (to cater for the majority of the fans) is in lowering television deals which could be passed on to the consumer through a change in the law and perhaps lower merchandising costs. The only way I'd ever lower ticket prices is in a ground with loads of empty seats, based purely on economic viability.
  7. No, you guess what. I'll give you a clue: it starts with 'I'.
  8. The post conveyed to me the importance of focussing on the next opponent instead of looking past them- something Kenny's made a point of a couple of times too.
  9. Sterling looked good last night, has he been in a matchday squad yet?
  10. There's an important lesson in there, great post.
  11. Well said KingString. How does one acquire this negging ability? Do I have to become a season ticket holder? Can you wep me for giving you a cool nickname pwease?
  12. Discuss. Want to get this out the way to be honest. An efficient win with a run out for Patches'll do me. 0-2. Might as well stick a poll in here. Have a look. Now.
  13. The esteem in which he holds Liverpool Football Club, evident in every interview and transmitted to the players. His smile! Tactical boldness thus far. Witty as ****
  14. Couldn't give a toss but since you brought it up, West Ham might as well have it. I get sick of hearing this 'athletics tracks spoil the atmosphere' crap. Works fine on the continent. Taxpayer money is spent, no point letting it go to ruin. And, Spurs can get bent.
  15. How the devil did you find that out?!
  16. I think you're right and ultimately that's what Roy never got: how we play will always be more important than shape- in many ways, Rafa succumbed to this too IMO.
  17. I'd rip ya hand off for a point. Defeat will be painful and Torres scoring may be just too much to bear. Would you rather... ... Torres picked up a knock and didn't play? ... Torres got kicked out of the game at the expense of a Carra/ Gerrard red card? ... or Torres plays, and doesn't get into the game. Nullified. I'd go number three...
  18. I look at this positively. Sure, we've paid a bit too much for him but then we got too much for Torres IMO. Here we've got a lad that's got it all. He's young, an could lead the line for the next 8-10 years. He'll get lots of flick ons and knockdowns for Suarez and Gerrard to come onto. An expensive buy, let's just enjoy it.
  19. Kenny Dalglish has no problem with Stoke City's direct football and insists Liverpool will just have to deal with it - Goal.com Slightly off topic, but what a great bloke. Just one of the reasons why I love King Kenny. Didn't warrant a thread on it's own.
  20. Exactly what I don't want: money spunked up the wall. He was quality before he came to United and it didn't work for him. Sure he looks to have improved but it's no guarantee it would work out. And, you'd have no chance of recouping anything like 15m when we moved him on- simply put, he's bad value. Liverpool's board have made it clear that he is not the type of player they're looking for. I'd love to see Aguero personally, and, being young, he'll command a good resale value if necessary in years to come.
  21. Why? An incisive pass could have set up a second goal and taken the pressure away.
  22. Disappointed about this one in a way, I've always thought Babel could be a top class winger. Still, 3 managers haven't rated him and I guess it's time to move him on while he'll still command a respectable fee. 'One less waster on the books' sounds about right...
  23. I'll never forget his commentary when Gerrard scored against Olympiakos in 2004. Can't think of any better. Shame he's a pratt, always thought he was a damn good commentator, at least he doesn't read a bunch of crap lines that sound like Henry Winter's lovechildren.
  24. Calm down, calm down. Seriously though, don't be comparing it with racism! Sexism is fuelled with humour and that comes from both sides, a fun way at looking at the differences between men and women. Next, you'll be having mixed sex teams for god's sake! As for the prick that called me a prick, that's mean and that makes you a prick, prick! I can't help but feel the usual sky hatred and paranoia from the cheap ass gits that are happy to stream the services that someone else is paying for is fuelling this debate. Yesterday, some twinkle actually commented that Monkeyhands actually looked frustrated when we won. Why would he care! Get a grip for crying out loud, he's eternally interested in his hairy self, not us. No one but us cares about us massively, Whiskeyface excluded.
