    We need a decent back-up striker for when Nando strains himself again.     Solid but perhaps slightly uninspiring defender. Competent but there are doubts he will offer much in attack. Turned in to a bit of a hoof merchant at Villa by all accounts. Had a great season and then was dropped after having a fall out with MON about being asked to play left back so doubt he will be playing there for us! Villa fans say he was their best right back for a while but seems like he had some problems after the death of his brother (who wouldn't?) Could this mean Roy maybe planning to shift Glen Johnson up to RW maybe?

Roy Hodgson, the Liverpool manager, tried to sign Young earlier this year when he was in charge of Fulham and he has now rekindled his interest in the former England international.     Be interesting to see how Lucas gets on this season. He could be a real asset for us and surprise a few people. I think he is worth holding onto and if he is to be sold it makes more sense to sell him after he gets more international games.

    Yeh its not a problem remembering the reason we are in debt. The issue is whether our players are gonna be loyal enough to hang around. I personally think that if Torres were to leave it would be a selfish act.
