  1. City, Chelsea, United and even Tottenham and Arsenal comfortably putting away shite with no issues every week and it feels like we're playing russian roulette in every single game. Fucking depressing.
  2. Of course not but our knack of making games against incredibly beatable opposition look incredibly hard has not really changed since then.
  3. The vast majority thought we would get second in 14/15 pretty handily against Ludogorets and Basel too. That worked out very nicely.
  4. Its not bad luck when the same things keep happening 900 million times over. The mentality of this team is all off. Has been for many years.
  5. Unfortunately so far this season we never do It, full stop. Im getting a sinking feeling that tells us it might be one of those years where Shamrock Rovers could come and get a point at Anfield.
  6. Unfortunately not joking when I say we may struggle to beat Maribor playing like this. Seriously worried about getting out of the group now.
  7. This game reminded me a bit of the 5-4 against Norwich a couple of years back. Fantastic of course to get the win and great to watch, but so riddled with errors you can see it's going to be a long season ahead.
  8. Yeah think he deserves a crack on merit. He's looked far more solid than the other two when he's played.
  9. Because there's nobody else any better than him. Milner's maybe the only one and he'd be my captain. I just can't believe how uncaring the team looked at the end that they were about to be knocked out of maybe our best chance to win a trophy. That ain't a winners mentality, and unless something drastically changes soon I can see this year turning into yet another crisis.
  10. Utter fucking disgrace. Leicester about 3 shots on target and two goals. Liverpool players strolling around at the end like they don't give a shite. No guts, no passion. Crap.
  11. The weirdest thing about watching Liverpool is that it always seems like some weird act of self-sabotage. Like we see the most obvious gaping problem in the team and do anything except fix it. I wouldn't be surprised if some massive dodgy betting conspiracy came out in the future.
  12. I don't think Klopp would just sit there and accept it if he was being hamstrung by the owners. And after buying Keita and Ox for such large sums of money does it really make sense to refuse to spend less on a defender?
  13. I was a skeptic of FSG for a good chunk of the summer, but after bringing Keita in and sanctioning a 35M pound move for AOC they obviously have some kind of will to spend. Blocking a move for a defender wouldn't make sense, it's obviously down to Klopp. Not that that explains the logic behind any of it.
  14. Unfortunately it's looking more and more like he's similar to all our previous managers stretching back to Houllier, bar Hodgson - brilliant in a couple of areas but so clueless/stubborn in one that it could ultimately cost him his job.
  15. How to take points off Liverpool 1. Sit deep 2. Wait That's it. Unfortunately my gut is telling me we're going to have another disastrous season. We failed woefully to address our obvious problems in the transfer market and it's going to cost us big time as we have neither the grit to break stubborn teams down nor the defense to defend set pieces and counter attacks.
  16. Think we were 1 or 2-0 down at the time also weren't we?
  17. Too easy I'll name ten. Cahill Luiz Hummels Vertonghen Alderweireld Van Dijk Howedes Tah Koscielny Bonucci OK I know some of them would have been unobtainable but we could have got Tah or Howedes, Bonucci was unsettled at Juve, and we could have put the pressure on Spurs by slapping down a large sum of money for either Vertonghen or Alderweireld. There is just no excuse to try for VVD and when it fails just say "oh well let's stick to Lovren and Klavan and shipping 50 goals a season then".
  18. I can't my head around how the downfall of almost every Liverpool manager since I can remember in my lifetime has be down to basically the same two things: stubbornness, and abject stupidity in the transfer market (bar maybe Woy, who was just shite). It's obvious to every man and his dog watching us this year that our defence is very far from good enough. How the fuck was it not addressed? And how the fuck can the same thing happen year after year, refusing to fix a defence that realistically has been shite since Carra and Agger's prime about 10 years ago. Sadly I fear for this year. I just hope it doesn't go pear-shaped so quickly that Klopp ends up getting the boot and we end up having yet another long rebuilding process with god knows who in charge.
  19. Tbh I thought by the book it was probably a red. Cant put your foot up that high running at that speed. Anyway 2-0 down probably no way back now and lose Mané for 3 games. Triffic.
  20. Excited for the incoming Chuck-e-Cheese sponsorship with extra jersey patch, and the Lallana back from injury new signing. [emoji2]
  21. Starting to think FSG's real genius is in their PR. Doing a little every season while making it appear they are doing a lot. Rumours of massive amounts of money being spent and then never happening. If we don't even attempt to solve our very very obvious defensive problem something is off, no doubt about it.
  22. Yep, and Klavan has always struck me as a bit of a Kyrgiakos type player, someone just to be there until we an get someone actually decent in. His performances would seem to back that up. Yet here he is, at a time we're apparently loaded with cash, and he's almost in the first team because we don't want to buy anyone except for one player. It's too weird, something is off.
  23. It's just never made sense to me that there isn't one available CB in the world better than Lovren and Klavan aside from VVD. Absolute cop out.
  24. Not cryptic, just covering his arse in case. Like the doctor telling you your new mole "probably" isn't an aggressive tumour
  25. Keita's the only thing that throws a spanner in the theory but there's a nagging feeling in the back of my mind that this advertised crazy transfer splurge that's failed to happen was just a way to placate the fans about Oxlade Chamberlain being our marquee signing. Oh well, we soldier on with our rickety defense.
