  1. just been reminded why i don't use that government scam agency a4e. tried to help out a few years back only to find a conveyor belt of down and outs who thought they were doing me a favour or that they were only at work because they'd get their benefits cut otherwise. i tend to hire young people who use their own initiative these days, bumped into a kid i used to pay minimum wage to whilst getting him qualified last weekend. now earning £30k and couldn't thank me enough for giving him that chance 6 or 7 years ago. a kid who chances his/her arm with a cv, a willingness to learn and a smile ahead of any a4e, rathbones or whatever shite government scheme everyday for me. as more and more well meaning employers fuck off from using the likes of a4e even the best of young people linked through a4e will find that they're more likely to be placed with shite employers.
  2. a half fit gerrard is better than a fully fit lucas. as for aquilani, why buy him for c20 million if he doesn't get a chance to play ahead of lucas against relegation fodder wolves?
  3. so when did these join - the 70s, the 80s? or do people really belief they only came along after istanbul?
  4. we are without doubt worse off without alonso. would we be top of the league? - i don't think so - lucas would still play, as would dirk and insua. torres would still be injured and we'd have to rely on the likes of voronin. babel would still be a big sulk and most of all rafa would still be playing his over defensive football against bottom of the league teams.
  5. is this thread another way to try and criticise people who don't blindly support our inept manager? i think so.
  6. get rid of the manager. it's the only way we'll get 14 million for lucas
  7. if i was in charge at city i'd want him sacked. if i was a city fan i'd be more optimistic that he had been sacked. doesn't mean hughes isn't a good manager, just not good enough for the ambitions of the club. doesn't mean the new manager will be good enough either but then maybe there's a lesson here for us too - fortune favours the brave.
  8. ah the outlook on life where you never walk out of the front door for fear of being run over
  9. if there is no chance rafa will be sacked there is no chance that our stubborn manager will change what he's doing. kuyt will always start as will lucas more often than not. we will play this broken 4231 regardless if the opposition is bottom of the league at home or chelsea away. guile and creativity will always be sacrificed for workrate and ability to follow instructions and we will go back to the houllier days of considering 4th place as a success. i've wanted him sacked for some time now but hand on heart i think we have to suffer a lot lot more before we see the back of him. today, against bottom of the league he started with 1 keeper, 7 defenders, a defensive attacker and only 2 offensive players.
  10. did he really say the sending off changed everything? give over rafa, every team has a player sent off every now and then, a tactical genius like you should have what it takes to deal with it. we were playing a bottom of the league team ffs, even with ten men we should have done better.
  11. we ain't got the money to compete remember, fuck me ain't they bottom of the league struggling to pay their wages. fuck off rafa, you wouldn't even get a job managing a lower tier spanish team never mind real madrid. if he had any shame he'd resign
  12. depends if this place is owned by a spineless nazi cunt who likes to bend over for a gang of cocksuckers  think i'll be fine here
  13. its not baffling if you understand his thinking, such as 1 rafa has favourites 2 rafa's ego is bigger than everyone elses at the club 3 rafa is never wrong and will keep doing what he does until he is proven right 4 rafa's football has a much stronger bias to showcasing his tactical knowledge than the skills and abilities of the players on the pitch

    Dirk Kuyt.

his keane-esque hand waving stood out for me tonight, nice back pass to insua as well in the first half. he really should have been subbed tonight instead of n'gog. we all know rafa will never drop him.
  15. aquilani is to rafa what litmanen was to houllier, just much more expensive.
  16. greetings. i think i might like it on here. we won't sack him now. my fear is we won't sack him in the summer and this time next year we'll be having the same conversation. at the very least we gave houllier one season too many. it'll be the same with rafa. even at the end the blind followers will still be defending him the same way they did with houllier. rafa will always blame everyone and everything bar himself. i'd love if he fucked off to madrid, if we get a bit of luck dirk and lucas will go with him.
