  1. Diaz head and shoulders above the rest here. Also Eliott done well so far. If we’re up for it we could still avoid defeat here.
  2. Poor half from us, at least as long as the ref gave them a free kick every 30 seconds for their diving. For some strange reason that stopped for the last 15 minutes, and after that we played well and should have scored at least two. Key here is to be patient and keep playing. Once the ref allows some actual football to be played we’re by far the better team, and could well score two or three in 15 minutes against them, despite being well off our best form. Suspect the ref to take control again in the second half though, and give them all the free kicks they dive for, and allow all sorts of time wasting and cheating to prevent football being played. And of course we need to be able to finish. All three forwards with some shocking finishing in that first half, there is just no calmness and composure there. Salah actually the worst example, with two terrible attempts within two seconds.
  3. Our finishing is a joke, and I think it’s fair to say it’s not Núñez’ fault alone.
  4. Never a free kick that, the ref is on a mission here, and he’s the main reason they’re in front.
  5. I’m a big fan of Nunez, but that’s a truely awful finish. Hammering it straight at the keeper.
  6. Pretty sure the diving wont work both ways. Well as i type that Mac Allister goes down, guess what happens.
  7. This. And it’s a massive influence on the game so far. Expect them to hit 30 free kicks tonight.
  8. Well here we go. Free kicks are 9-1 so far. This will never be a game of football.
  9. The ref is doing an 80-20 job on us. Giving them every single decision he can, and they dive in every duel. Handing them 25 free kicks will improve their chances massively.
  10. I predict around 23 free kicks to the team in blue, and perhaps 4 to the team in red tonight.
  11. Offside thankfully, but getting sick and tired of conceding chances after Robertson getting caught out of position. Happens far too frequently.
  12. I agree upon the part about world famous players with inflated egos. We dont know how a manager like Slot will do on that part, not least combined with the pressure and expectations at a club like Liverpool. One of the main things behind Klopps success however, is picking the right characters in addition to being good players. If you manage that part you’ll reduce the risk from inflated egos.
  13. Disagree. The players will buy into the new manager mainly because of his ideas, and how he manages to communicate and implement them. Also, of the current top managers in the PL, how many had ‘experience here’ when they took on their current job? Klopp, Pep and Arteta at least didnt, and neither did people like De Zerbi or Areola. Who are these managers that became a success in the PL and had experience here when they started?
  14. If this a fair reflection of what kind of manager he is, then it’s exactly the kind of profile I’d expect Edwards and Hughes to be looking for. And the kind of profile I personally think we should be looking for. Does that mean he’ll be able to do it here? Not automatically as it’s a different league, a different level and a different club. Ideally it should probably have been a similar profile, but with a bit more experience from a bigger league. But from what I’ve read so far I reckon it could be a good choice, no matter who we go for there’s an element of risk,
  15. Puts you in the same category as this helmet. If you were being honest. https://metro.co.uk/2024/04/23/man-united-fan-handed-football-ban-mocking-hillsborough-disaster-20698887/
  16. I want a manager that doesnt bleach his anus. To be honest I dont really care about the anus bleaching part, just trying to join the discussion at the right level here.
  17. Excellent result from a good performance. Decent first half, good second half. Intensity and pressing was the best we’ve done for a while, and we also kept better hold of the ball. Until the substitutions that is, Salah gave it away three times in his first five minutes, Szoboszlai not much better, and Nunez offside two or three times. No doubt Klopp picked the right players today. Diaz our best player, both CBs good, and Jota and Gravenberch also quite good. Also have to give some credit to Elliott, never stopped running and all in all a decent performance from him.
  18. Thought we were decent for long spells, pressing and intensity was better than the last few games, and we weren’t as wasteful on the ball as we’ve been of late. But we seemed to switch off before half time and invited them back in the game. Roberston with some trademark poor positioning, and we looked too open in central midfield. Diaz our best player by some distance imo, the rest were mostly decent, but not really good.
  19. A good post in a shower of shit ones. All the injuries and the congested fixture list has predictably caught up with us. We’ve overachieved this season, and now watch a big portion of our supporters behave exactly like the fuming muppet bluenose supporters we enjoy laughing at. Well done Klopp for taking us further than what anyone could or should expect this season, you didnt manage to complete the miracle. We’re still so glad you’re a Red. YNWA.
