    I didnt vote cos there wasnt an option for "No, cos i always thought he was a decent player being completely destroyed by a cold, negative, coward, shithouse, manager". So, my opinion of him hasn't changed. After seeing what he did to Nando yesterday, nobody can doubt how much of a malign influence Benitez has been on Babel. I hope we keep him, he will flourish under a new boss.

    Quite right. Reina. Best keeper in the league. Johnson. Best right winger in the league.;) Gerrard /Masch best mid combo in league. Torres. best no 9 in the league. Babel Kelly and Agger all have the goods to step up too. Plenty to build on, with the right bloke in charge. If you were to add Bellamy and Crouch in to that we'd have a squad good enough to win the league. Subject to decent leadership of course.

I've posted elsewhere on this thread that Rafa knows Mourinho is coming as he's trying to sabotage the place. Oh and get the sack, pocket £15 mill and got to Madrid. The more bizarre the decision, the more it confirms my theory. Hes playing a giant game of chicken with the yanks at the clubs/fans expense.

    Moment of clarity last night. Benitez knows hes going, knows hes for the chop, knows that Maureen is on his way. Thinks to himself, right, i scorch the earth and pocket £16mill. No?? He was smiling as he threw fourth away yesterday. Hes a political animal. I say the more bizarre his decisions become, the more likely Mourinho will be our next manager. They hate each other. From Rafas point of view, he gets £16mill, moves to Madrid, and fucks up Mourinho for at least a season. So, i conclude Mourinho will be in charge next season. We are now the ideal canvas on which to daub his ego.

    We do have Johnson, and Kelly to play RB. Johnson going froward is not far off superb imo. We need a quality LB and keep faith in Babel even though he may be on the wrong wing. Of course NONE of this will occur to our current manager.

    Ive thought this for months and made several posts to that effect. I also posted that he lost the players the night Babel levelled against Lyon with that thunderbolt only to see Benitez drag Torres off and for his marker to score to effectively put us out of the European Cup. And its now BLATANTLY obvious that that is how its panned out. But i dont think even he quite realised how well his plan might work. The club is in a coma and wont wake until hes gone. Hes just alienating everything he touches now. It also doesnt help that Gerrard has gone in to limp home mode for the World Cup. Gone right in to his shell. Not that i blame him for one moment. Thanks to cowardly,cagey Benitez, hes never gonna lift the Prem trophy and he's now worked out the WC is his last shot at proper glory.He may even be captain for the duration. So you have the captain of LFC now putting country before club, which also translates as, the manager has lost his captain. Good luck to Gerrard, he owes Rafa fuck all. He should be sacked tonight. Good news that Real got dumped last night eh?;)

    This is shaping up like Houllier and Owen. The players talent keeping a lame duck manager in a job for a season too long. And then ultimately backfiring big time on the player. I doubt, given Gerrard and Owens friendship, that this has been lost on either of them round the dinner table. No?? Right now i'd take Rafa walking and Gerrard being sold for £50mill to City. Roasted MU down the left, pivotal substitution in the game 2 years ago. Dropped next game. Aquilani, distinct signs of improvement, last game,dropped next time out. Murphy, fourished at Fulham, Alonso apart, (alienated by Benitez) have we had a better creative centre mid during Rafas time at the club? No. Warnock, flourished at Villa, OK not a world beater, but then consider the money SPUNKED at RB since his departure. Hes had the materials and hes fucked it up. He sucks the momentum out of every situation/player.

    Yes.Carraghers performance in the huddle prior to the Spurs game is the best physical representation of this paralysis. Carragher wrung that performance out of that team not Benitez. And that was signed sealed delivered tonight in Benitez' negative shithouse approach. Sack him now. Thompson Dalgish and Carragher reminding each and everyone of em what it means to play for LFC. EVERY FUCKING WEEK With the players we are now left with, (thanks to Benitez) thats the only way we'll get 4th. Pure guts. Thats all. For this season at least.
