Went last year to Whinfelll forest with the kids last year. Pleasantly surprised to see no chavs and decent ppl there. Agree however that they charge an arm and a leg for most activities but all in all recommended. Supermarket in the centre was surprisingly reasonable!

Get a bus from Penn station and go to a place called Woodbury Common. Hate shopping but could easily have stayed two days in this place. In New Jersey though so expect this to be a 9-5 excursion. Prices ridicously low Diesel Jeans etc. You also get discount coupon book on arrival at the place if you go with certain bus companies

If your up for shopping try the big shopping mall next to clark county sheriff court. Nike bargains galore. Have to try the steak and lobster buffet at the bellagio!!

Last time i stayed down overnight without the missus i went around matthew street infact im pretty sure the cavern club we ended up in. For the record i have been told the Blue angel is cheap and cheerful anyone care to enlighten me that?

For the record were not real ale buffs or guys that like to tucked up in bed for 11pm or anything like that just want a club / pub that caters for the over 30's
