I don´t think so...He had fair share of excellent games in 08-09 season when we finished 2nd and he was mainstay in defence. He had a good game yesterday but he is putting these kind of performances fo more than a year now. I think he had only 2 bad games during last 12 months...one being West Ham away and the 2nd at White Hart Line He used to be consistenly inconsistent in Rafa´s last season and couple of months under Roy but now it is hard to find someone more consistent than him in whole league. Just look at Morse´s player of season game. He is in top three in every game since end of november bar Oldham game where he was rested. And he was excellent in every game at CB since September but it lasted few weeks until people started to rate him again and give him credit he deserves, because in thruth,during last 18 or so months it was trendy to slate Skrtel for everything by a large part of the "fans".

looking at the poorness of our midfield attackingwise I really don´t understand how Kenny "couldn´t guarantee place for Aquilani" but persist on playing Henderson as somekind of attacking midfielder. And also why we forced Meireles out. Probaby because they aren´t british. Downing, Carroll, Kuyt and Henderson are average at best. Craig and Stevie are on the wrong side of 30. We need at least 4 players. World class playmaker, two wingers and one proven striker. It was funny to see Skrtel as playmaker.

It felt like a perfect away european performance for me. I am so fired up for this trophy....it is not a Mickey Mouse cup for me anymore....

is it possible for Martin to achieve that "Lucas" status? Turning from scapegoat without any particular reason, into one of the most rated plazers at the club?....or his nationality is another thing breaking his recognition?... I am long time LFC fan but I never got the feeling that the lads from former eastern block got the same respect like the "real" europeans did....

I´ve almost started to hate him ;) Martin is not even one of my top 3 lFC players, but he i can not get rid of that fuckin´patriotic feeling which leads me to defend him everytime i feel he is slated unfairly. That is the real truth about mz " Skrtel love". I am not his mother, I am not his brother, I am even not gay. And I don´t know him personally....I just feel the need to defend him, because he deserves it and it was fashionable to slate him before te games even started. It seems now to be trendy to support him but I am waiting for his first major mistake after...hmmm...12 months?..and expect all those cunts to be all over him again.

yes it is me. the cunt who defended Skrtel´s ass during those bad periods he had and never admitted he is is average or liability as many lads made him to be. There is still not a low percentage of LFC fans who don´t rate him, but in reality, and with some basic level of football knowledge, everyone has to admit that he was club´s best defender in every season since he was purchased bar 09/10 season. And that is a fact. But he is still fuckin´liability and a penalty waitin´to happen.

Am I blind or there is no thread started yet? With 26 hours to go? I think we will finally find the luck and win this one with 3+ goal margin. The team? Biggest quetionmark for me is central midfield, we could maybe strat thje game just only with Hendo and Adam and go all out attack, but I don´t think we will do it because Fulham´s game showed that we and not only we but every team needs one DM in their team that can protect the back four. What happened to Aurelio? I thought he is fit for weeks now, was at the bench in the League Cup game against Stoke but no mention about him since then. I think he could do job in 3 man midfield with Jordan and Charlie. But he probably isn´t in Kennys plans anymore. The back five is nailed on as is Adam, Henderson and Suarez. That is 8 out of 11. Then we have Kuyt, Carroll, Maxi, Downing, Bellamy and maybe Shelvey for the next 3 places, maybe even Carra if we played 3-5-2 or 3-4-3. I think we will go with: Reina Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique Kuyt Henderson Adam Downing Bellamy Suarez With a lack of pure defensive midfielder I would maybe try 3-4-3 with Reina Carra Skrtel Agger Johnson Henderson Adam Enrique Bellamy Maxi Suarez I know it will never happen but it seems good, didn´t it? Napoli play this way and it seems to work for them.
